I use my debit card for small purchases 12 times a month (have to do 12 debit transactions to get the higher interest rate).  After that I use my credit card for everything I can, in order to get the rewards points.  I rarely use cash in day-to-day transactions, but always keep some on hand for a yard sale or some other place I may need it.

Have you avoided getting sick this winter?

I have not yet been sick this winter, thank goodness. Hopefully, I won't get sick this winter.



Do you expect to travel this year?

Actually I do expect a little vacation out of the state of NJ. I am thinking somewhere upstate NY to try a Bed and Breakfast weekend stay, for a change of scenery.

I know that I can get groceries from Sprouts delivered ... which is very handy.  We also have GrubHub, too.

Last time I went out for coffee was with you!  I don't do it very often, probably once every few years...  I do make a latte for myself every morning though.

Yes, snow, and more weather is expected to roll in tomorrow.  Last Tuesday I shoveled off 18" from my truck.  This morning was about 6".  Not complaining, though, because we desperately need the moisture come spring.

In your area, how bad does the weather have to get for your to not leave the house?  At our new house, apparently a foot of snow overnight is the determining factor.

Maybe a foot of snow would keep me inside. It would depend on what I was going out for. Quite a bit of snow had fallen when I got up today, so I thought I'd wait and run my errands tomorrow. About two hours later, I ran my errands. LOL


Do you usually see movies in a theater, or at home?    I honestly can't remember the last movie I saw. It has been years.

Usually at home.  I think the last theater movie we saw was the Secret Life of Pets.

I like the amount of closet space we have. I don't like the fact that we've managed to fill it up, rather messily.

QUESTION: Do moths freak you out?

Yes!  This last summer I saw one walking on the ground that was so large,  I initially thought  it  was  a  large mouse! I've  never  seen  one that big before. It totally creeped me out.  (shudder)


Do you change to snow tires in the winter?

I do not change tires in any season.

So far I have worn 3 different pairs of shoes this week and they are all under the coffee table!! Rest are in closet on floor - no boxes or shoe racks here. Just me and my messy place.

Do you organize your hang up clothes by color, blouses/shirts pants or just hang stuff where there is room?

I hang long sleeved shirts together, short sleeves, sleeveless, t-shirts, sweatshirts pants etc. The clothes in each section are grouped according to color.


Do you immediately fold/hang your laundry and put it away, when the dryer stops?

No, it's much worse than that.  I fold/hang before the dryer stops.  I'll open the door, grab a piece or two, close the door, restart the dryer, then fold/hang those pieces while the rest keep tumbling.  Repeat until they're all folded/hung.  How OCD is that?

Got a call from kiddo that goes like this: Mom want to come over and help with the garden early Saturday?? So I guess that's what's up this weekend. But not complaining I actually love digging in the dirt!!

Still getting over the fact y'all are gardening already (looks out at the 4 inches of snow on the ground).  My answer to your question is sort of?  I've got to be in the correct mood, though I am looking forward to working with the 3 raised beds our new house came with. 



When does planting season begin where you live?

My mom has had her seeds growing by the window for a week or two (or three...) She'll grow a bunch in some small greenhouses (aided with a heater at nights it drops below freezing), and then the actual outdoor planting will happen around Memorial Day.  Some of the earlier plants will go in sooner though (stuff like lettuce).

We rented/watched Roman Israel, Esq. on Amazon/Roku.  A bit weird and quirky. Interesting. Wait for it to be free somewhere.

All of the above, along with elk, bobcat, coyote, snakes, koi, etc.  We are blessed.    Well, except the snake part. 



Favorite outdoor activity?

Z ..... gotta answer your question ....... We have quail, doves, javelinas, coyotes, a few bobcats, snakes of all kinds, little bitty ground squirrels .......... and SCORPIONS ...... nasty things.  I have found that everything that lives in the desert will bite back if you get too close ..... flora and fauna

Favorite outdoor activity? ....... walking and watching all of the above, especially when we have baby quail running around.  They look like dandelion puffs chasing their parents.  Funniest things.  Baby javelinas are cute but don't mess with their parents


Question:  What is your favorite summer evening entertainment?

favorite summer evening entertainment is watching a movie, in front of a open window, at home with a breeze coming through. it is so very relaxing!

question: it is time to send out a few invitations, a couple of calls to come by for your barbeque. would you invite only a few friends or a few family members?

For me ...... family comes first so the invites would be to family.  If they can't come, then friends.  Next question, what are you having for BBQ?


Question:  Who eats the end pieces (crust) of bread in your home?

When we do a bbq, we usually have my dad's "secret recipe baked beans", and my mom's potato salad.

I think heels make the best toast, so I usually eat them once the rest of the loaf has been used.

Yes!!  After review, I concluded February was the second strongest months ever $ales wise.
