No tablet here. Just my first smart phone I finally purchased kicking and screaming about 3 years ago.
No shave November. Know anyone who participates?

There's at least one air mattress in my garage (that doesn't belong to me, but I have use of it, since it's stored in my garage), and I think I actually have one somewhere, but I don't know where it is. We haven't had need of it since the move, so it's probably still in the bin it was packed in.
We got snow here on Friday and over the weekend, which is WAY early for us. Anyone else getting early winter weather?

It's chilly, but snow has made an appearance only once this far. Socks, slippers, or both at the same time?

yes! I This Is Us, on NBC. I am not a big tv watcher, either. it's always on for background noise, but I don't usually pay much attention. this, though. I go back and watch on demand since I'm at work when it airs live. have you ever been on Cobra for health insurance? just found out that's our stopgap until the new company institutes their systems here. not looking forward to that mess.

No. I had the option of being on Cobra once, but the company I'd left was a health care company, and so my insurance was the Rolls Royce version - way beyond what I could afford paying both the employee and employer costs, so I instead signed up for coverage via Obamacare. I suggest double checking the costs on Cobra and comparing them to what you may be able to get on the exchange. Losing your insurance/forced onto Cobra is a qualifying event, so should let you sign up at any time, not just open enrollment.
This last weekend I got my hair colored to look like a sunset. What's the wackiest thing you've ever done with your hair?

shanendoah, that is pretty! Let's seeee... wackiest thing.... IDK, I'm an 80's girl so you name it, I've gone it-except for shaving any of it, even underneath. Never had the guts to do that... Big hair, black "tail" underneath, black wisps throughout, perms, etc. Most recently I had my hairdresser put in a green demi color when my Irish decent grandma passed away in September. What is at least one thing you do to spoil yourself?

Yes. My mom's mashed potatoes. Been drooling about them for about a month now. Brown, white or no gravy?

brown. I make a tasty mushroom gravy out of baby portabellas. yum!
what's a side on your holiday table that is definitely a regional thing? and have you picked up any new ones along the way from friends/family from somewhere else? I discovered (although I won't eat it myself w/sour cream in it) corn casserole from my roommate's family. had never heard of it before a couple years ago.

A: If people ask for your recipes. ZaireinHD, my dad apparently never cared for my mom's cooking either. Once he made a crack about the only spices she ever used was salt and pepper. I guess it's a good thing they got divorced 25+ years ago..... What is something you liberated yourself of and never looked back?

oh yes! of course! I miss my ex-best friend like crazy! probably because I have not replaced her? but still! the situation is I miss her a lot. so with that said I am building the courage to ask her to spend time with me over dinner or lunch using my B-Day membership at my favorite restaurant this month.
Question: does your area you live in have a Christmas tradition similar to the Christmas Tree lighting in New York City?

The only one I can think of is that they do a Christmas parade the night after Thanksgiving.
Are you making any Christmas gifts this year?

If baking counts as making, then yes. I'll make 6-8 "plates" of different cookies and bars to give to various neighbors.
Do you fill Christmas stockings for anyone?

A: nope! not anymore filling Christmas stockings.
C: current times people are in an uproar, upset, and get angry when Ho Ho Ho is used; and calling the season Christmas, and to be politically correct should say Seasons Greetings instead. so people will not offend anyone!
Q: Are people just overly sensitive regarding Christmas Holiday Cheer?

I think a lot of people are overly sensitive about most everything these days. That being said, if I don't know for certain what a person's beliefs are, I say Happy Holidays to them. If you are still in the workforce (looks at NoNamePerson, LOL), are you taking any time off next week?

just Friday. I actually picked up a half shift on Thursday in order to earn back a more favorably timed day before the end of the year.
do you remember your dreams? I'm still in a complete fog from waking up out of a vividly violent one. ugh.

I'm a very active dreamer who frequently rivals Stephen King for complexity and supernatural elements. I enjoy these dreams and hate it if I have to get up to go to the bathroom because I lose the thread.
Does putting up your Christmas tree require moving or removing furniture in your living area?

A: Nope! never! when I used to participate with putting up a tree {cause since I live alone now. I don't participate in Christmas decorations} when living with my parents to living with my x-GF. no furniture had to be moved or taken away

Some of our things are 5 months old, purchased when we moved in, and some are 7 or so years old.

A: absolutely YES all the time! every single year! LOL. BUT then again as I just explained this to my dad. not exactly the term Fired! because to be Fired from work means. I would have done something wrong, illegal, misconduct, against company policy. but change Fired to maybe downsized, let go, layoff, just pain lost my job because my boss doesn't like me! LOL
Q: what is your favorite treat to go with after Thanksgiving dinner between; Pie, Cake, Cookies, Ice Cream, or Wine?

Excellent question! Before DH I'd try fixing things myself. A few years ago I noticed I'd gotten lazy since being with him. He's a mechanic by trade and is handy elsewhere. Since moving into the new house especially, I've been taking the time to research online how to repair things.
If you are working today, are you working a full day?

When was the last time you served on jury duty?
