Thanks! I found them. I knew I'd seen them somewhere. When I entered "Gillette shave cream" in the database, it just came up with the P&G $1 q; not the BOGOF. And I knew I'd seen them somewhere. So sorry about all the misinformation. My brain is absolute mush these days due to chronic lack of sleep. I'm lucky if I get 5 hrs./night. It is getting SOOOOO frustrating. The only time I can get 8 hrs is if I take a PM of some sort and I certainly can't do that all the time.

murphath: We were in your neck of the woods again today. We are car shopping and took a Honda Pilot out for a day trip to test longer trip comfort.
We drove down 1st St. and had lunch at Sailor Jack's. It was pricey, but the food was very good. That street is so cute!!
We left your little town and headed a little further north to wine country. We didn't taste any wine - just enjoyed the beautiful scenery; then we headed home. Unfortunately, by the time we got back to our neck of the woods, my back was killing me, so we will not be buying a Honda Pilot. I was really bummed, cuz I liked everything else about it.

Not really about groceries, but... Do any of you guys know of ways I might be able to get discounted tickets to Disney World and/or Universal? My friend has been planning her WDW wedding as long as I've known her (almost 10 years) and is finally pulling it off in April. I'd like to fit in as much park action as I can, and I definitely want to hit up Harry Potter Land...but I'd still like to do it as cheaply as possible

^Hmm, good point. I sometimes forget the rest of the board exists because I almost never read anywhere else

I'm about 4 miles from 1st street and that is my walking destination at least 1x per week when I need to go to the bank. I'm able to walk along the water for most of it, so really a very beautiful way to exercise. Let me know if you ever come back--you need to see the glass studios and if lucky, can watch them blow glass. There are many good restaurants on 1st street and lots of choices: Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, good ole American, and, of course, the fish place: Sailor Jack's. We go there sometimes to have a glass of wine in their upstairs bar. The view is wonderful. I really love our little town. The setting is perfect!

Rite Aid question:Okay, all you RA experts, I have a question. They have Keri lotion on sale for $5.99 this week with an in ad q for $5 off. There's also a $2 q in this Sunday's inserts. Will RA give overage if I buy something else with the Keri lotion? Or will the man q beep? I also have a $3 man. q for Thermacare and they are priced at $2.99. I'm thinking of: 1 Thermacare $2.99 1 Keri lotion $5.99 2 candy bar 1.80 Total: $10.78 + tax Minus $3 Thermacare q $5 Keri RA insert q $2 Keri man q Would the above scenario work? Or will there be beeping galore?

A little slice of paradise in the East Bay. If we ever get back that way, which restaurant would you recommend? The Honda Pilot didn't work out (thank goodness I thought to do a day trip/comfort check before we bought), we most likely will be doing a similar trip with the next car we THINK we might want to buy. We were looking at a 2011 Ford Explorer, but the consumer reviews are HORRIBLE. A lot of people are PISSED that they spent $50K for a car that has multiple problems that the dealer can't seem to fix. Geez, we want to buy a mid-sized SUV and we can't find one that seems to be comfortable AND reliable, well, unless you want to buy a Lexus. DH says it's worth it to him to spend more money to get what we want/need, but geez. There has got to be a middle-of-the road priced vehicle that will suit our needs; but so far, we haven't found it.

There was more than once when we bought tickets for family members headed to Disneyland. A lot of companies offer tickets to employees at a discount, so you might ask family/friends if their company offers that. A lot of them might not even be aware of it.

I went to Rite Aid yesterday to test out the overage with the Keri RA q and man q. I bought: 1 Keri lotion $5.99 1 Box GE Energy smart light bulbs $5.99
Minus $5 RA Keri q (cut from their Sunday circular) $2 Keri man q from Sunday's inserts $1 GE q (can't remember date)
I paid $3.98 + $1.05 tax. Rec'd $4 UP for the light bulbs. We needed the 100 watt ones so this deal worked for me.

Dancinmama:
To answer the restaurant question: Italian: Venticello's Thai: Can't remember the name--in the vicinity of Venticello's Indian: Aroma American: Lucca or First St. Cafe Mexican: Randy's or Sandoval's (The brother owns Randy's; the sister owns Sandoval's) BBQ type sandwiches: Kinder's Their ball tip sandwich is unbelievable! Fish: Sailor Jack's (but you already know that) And for a more gourmet style cuisine: The Union Hotel We don't care for the Chinese restaurants on First St. We go the The China Garden which is on the corner of East Military and East 5th St. It's above a junky, old bar (The Bottom of the Fifth). The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is always good.
