Back up again. Although I did eat pizza and have beers this weekend - twice. Oh well. My jogging partner broke her wrist on Saturday so she won't be up for jogging for at least a few days I would think. I need to find the motivation to go tonight on my own.

I'm back. I haven't done anything exercise wise. It is difficult for me to do exercises at home with a dvd - I have to move the bed (air mattress) and all of the blankets and stuff. So, yesterday afternoon I went and signed up at the gym - again. I plan to go Monday, Tuesday and on the weekends. I have my son Weds/Thurs nights and the kids room that they have are full of baby stuff and he is 7. I can't go in the mornings because I have to get up at 5 to get ready for work and they don't open till 5 anyway. So, I figure with getting some exercise in a few times a week is better than nothing. Also, I have noticed that my calories for my food have been close to in line, however, the wine and beer are pushing me over my mark Congrats to everyone who is having losses! Sam - I wish I was closer! I have had a goal to run a 5K for the last 3 years

sticking with the dairy-free diet still, and made it to the gym one morning last week before work. I also had a hockey game this weekend, but that's a normal thing. down one more pound though, yay!

trying to motivate myself to do pilates. no 30 day shred for me today because my elbow hurts again. I hate pushups/planks!

Sam - You can do it! Just think of all of us there with you while you're jogging. Having someone physically with you though is always a great motivator. I remember not wanting to miss my morning jog in college with my roommate so I went even the day after I got my tonsils removed (we were just really slow that day). I hope your jogging partner heals up soon and can join you. joss - Excellent news on the stairs! I was just checking in on this thread despite not having anything to report because I felt guilty for having a beer Saturday night. (But OMG I think it was by and far the best beer I've ever had in my life! Then again, it could just be that it's been about a year since I've had one...) Wednesday I see the doctor and pray to get cleared for exercise, among other things, like going back to work.

I have lost 3 lbs, but have a long way to go. I figured out how to do the weight loss tracker so I am happy about that!
I figured out I just need to bit the bullet and go to the doctor for a cortisone shot in my shoulder so I can get back into the swing of things.
SAD is killing me, all I want to do is sleep. But I am going to work on getting the exercise in.

I finally stopped hurting enough to do my second workout of 30 day shred. It was easier than the first and I hope by the end of the week it gets easier still.

OK I am changing my weighins from my Wednesday weighin at work, to my Sunday weighins at home. I always forget to come on here midweek and put in the number from at work. So here are my first 4 weighins of the year. 1/1/13 177.2 1/6/13 175.6 1/13/13 176.6 1/20/13 174.4 Down 2.2lbs this week and 2.8lbs total. Definitely slower going then I would hope, but at least in the right direction. Working out is going ok, but I do think I am holding back at the gym. This week we have things planned almost everyday so I made sure I went to the gym tonight and will go tomorrow night before DH's BBall game. Other then that the rest of the week will be rough for workouts till the weekend. I am making lunch for the next few days right now. DH and I are doing our own version of the pantry challenge and trying to clean out the food in our cupboards and no grocery shopping other then a few fresh foods for one month (maybe 2, depending on what we have after this month). This means we may be using up some food that is not the best for us, but doing what we can (ie portion control and mixing not so healthy food with healthy foods) to use up the food, but still try to eat alright. Right now I am making some rice that we have had in the cupboard FORVER, but I am also making steamed broccoli to mix in with it. Add that to some banana chips, and mandarin oranges and I have a yummy, decent size, super cheap lunch.

We have not bought any groceries yet this month. And also have severly limited our eating out. Last night we ate out but I ordered a salad. Can't wait to see how low our credit card bill is for the month as other then fuel we really haven't been spening any money.

I made it to the gym last night. Did mostly strength stuff and used the free trainer lesson. After getting berated for everything that I eat or don't eat, we started working out. I can definitely feel it today! I couldn't figure out how to track the calorie burn in MFP today. Anyone have any ideas? TIA!

Well, I treadmilled last night. I pretty much zoned out the entire time I was on it. Just let my brain go. I did 1.5 miles. I'd like to get up to 2 miles. And get faster. A coworker made pancakes for everyone this morning. I had 2, 1 plain, 1 blueberry. I'm trying very hard to resist the urge to have more. Esp. since I was the 1st and I need to let everyone else have some. Didn't make the egg rolls last night. Or the pea soup. DH said he'd prefer the pea soup Thursday night instead, so I'm going to soak the peas tonight and prep the veggies while I do the prep for the egg rolls. Then cook it tonight and reheat it tomorrow night for dinner. I don't have ham/turkey to put in it this time.

It wasn't too bad of a week for me. I lost the 2 lbs that I made as my weekly goal. Even though DH sabotaged me a bit. I had told him that popcorn was an ok desert. So we had popcorn twice. Last night I found out he had been making butter popcorn and not lite like I assumed. He didn't even think about what kind of popcorn he was making. Oh well, he knows now. Today has been a hard day though, I haven't eaten the best. Hopefully I can get back on the wagon again tomorrow. I really am hoping I can lose another 2 lbs this next week. I'd like to be out of the 250's. Sockeymom 1/23/13 251.5 (1/2/13 260.0lbs)

I didn't weigh myself this morning. Too tired to go in the cold basement where the scale is. DH is sick and DD is complaining about her tummy hurting. Please God, no more sickness in the house.

Down to my starting weight. Although I did have a tummy bug for the last two days and hardly ate anything at all so that's why. But I feel great now and I am hoping that healthy food & exercise keeps me here or starts the trend back downward.
AS for workouts, I am totally failing here. Need to get my bum back in gear. I hope I can go running tonight even if my friend is still out.

Went to the gym tonight. 3 miles in 31 minutes (boy I was pushing HARD for 30!! ugghghg). I feel great about it I was definitely pushing it pretty hard but it was nice to know I could do it. Only 3 months until the Trolley Run here and I have to finish those 4 miles in 35 minutes. That is my goal. And I stayed under my calorie total today. The scale was back up tonight but that's to be expected since I actually ate today. But I ate mostly good things and I feel great. Whoo HOOO!

yay Sam and Beth! I fell off the wagon as far as food goes earlier this week. still no dairy, but definitely less healthy than I could have been. when I got on the scale yesterday, I was back up to my start weight. I totally behaved myself yesterday, and other than tomorrow night's wedding festivities (and bar) I think I'm pissed enough at myself to be back on track now. this morning, the scale said the same thing it did on Monday morning's weigh-in - 211.0 baby steps!

ooh, my bad, I guess I shouldn't have assumed "under 200 is good!" b/c when I get to that weight, I'm going to be over the moon about it. I always said "I'll never let myself go over 200" and well, yeah.

Don't worry about it. I had to think about if that was up or down. And I know, I always said that too. And there I was.

Ugh. We all have a nasty cold that is just lingering. I have asthma so it seems to be sticking around longer for me. So just focusing on not eating too much and watering down my orange juice. The good news is that DH has been keeping up with the Power 90 videos even though I've been sick. And it so cute to watch DS try to do it with him.

Working on it! Eating more (go figure) BUT reading labels!
So much "healthy" food is incredibly Unhealthy, Kashi for one, loaded with sugar!
Managed somehow to lose 5 over christmas, another 4 since..
Right now, my goal is to get thru a Jillian Michaels workout without wishing I was dead.. (can only manage half)

I used to have a half a pop to a full pop each day. I haven't had a pop for 26 days and hope I can hold out. My heart feels much better since I stopped drinking pop. I have only done 4 days of 30 day shred but I am getting better at it. Only had to rest for 5 seconds during the entire 20 minutes one time the other day.

Do any of you just run to get in shape and if you do does it help you to slim down faster or do you do other exercises along with running? I was getting into running at the beginning of last year and was starting to get in shape and then pinched a nerve in my foot and it was too painful to even walk at times so I haven't gotten back into running. I started today with 10 minutes and my ankle feels ok so far but I hope I can work back up to the 30 minutes a day I was doing last year.
