...additionally, when clicking on a link within a post, I'm now transferred to that page rather than it opening up a new eta ... and yes I know that I can right click and choose "open in new tab"... just making the observation as an fyi... That has to do with how the person adds the link. if you paste it directly into a post, it will open in the same window. BUT, if they use the button, it will open in a new one.

OK, did some tweaking on the view and skins. Now it is looking good and i am a happy clam. And, once the dancing banana returned, all was right with the world!

Firefox and Chrome have built in spellcheckers. IE has a plugin called IESpell that can be installed.
To get IESpell: IESpell download page. Follow the directions under the download links to install and use.

I am having issues with the new format. I have to hit a thread multiple times for it to open or to turn to next page. Also, I can no longer scroll down through a quote to type underneath.

What browser and what version of Windows, doxie? I can't duplicate your problem on any of my browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox).

Safari, not sure what version.
Also, why can we not hit "new" and go to the last read post?

safari seems to be a problem child right now, from what i'm seeing on support. I'm sure they're working on it, but please be patient while they do. New *should* take you the last post, if you have been in the thread before and you haven't cleared your cookies.

I post via my phone. I have not cleared cookies. It takes me to the top of the page when I hit "new".

if you're posting from your phone, why not just download the proboards app? I think it was $3, and it seems to be working fine when I've posted from it.

doxieluvr- to add a forum
Apple iOS Devices::
Launch the app and press the "Forums" tab at the bottom of the screen, and then press the "+" button found in the top-right hand corner of the screen.
In the screen that comes up, what you type in the box provided depends on the web address of the forum you want to visit:
- If the forum you want to visit has a .proboards.com address (ie , simply type "support" into the box, then just below the box choose the top option that will display support.proboards.com. Once selected, press the OK button and you'll be taken to the forum.
so, for our board, you would just type in notmsnmoney, then choose the option that adds the .proboards.com to the end.

It tells me the form s temporarily closed. I really do prefer to just use safari. When can I expect it to be working correctly?

wow, looks like I'm posting the first bug since the upgrade. hopefully that's a good thing! I'm using Firefox (v 18.0 if that matters) and I cannot navigate through screens using ALT-arrows. I've sanity checked myself on other sites, and the functionality is still there. thanks for the time, everything else looks great so far! quick update - this one's been fixed.

...any ideas on adjusting the margins on the webpages? I've got @ 1" of dead space on either side of the page... it's weird... ? It's skin-specific, BeenThere...DoneThat.... I've converted all the V- skins to use 95% of the page width. The default for all other skins is 950 pixels wide. I'll eventually put in a 'tweaks' page that will allow members to choose between 950 pixels and 95% for any skin. For now, you'll have to live with it or use one of the V- skins.

When using the safari browser on my iphone 4, a black strip that sometimes shows ads moves along with the screeen (at the bottom) when I scroll up or down, shrinking what is already a small display.

Okay I think I spoke too soon Moonie. I still only have part of the Last Post column in P&M but I can see more of it than I could before. Any chance of going to 95%?

It seems posting numbers are down as well as member visits. When I look to see who is online, the number of posters seems much smaller than before the conversion. I know many posters said they could not access our site at work any more. Is this still the situation, or are we just suffering from the January blahs, where people just are not online as much?

I've noticed when you use the [ quote ] manual feature so you can just capture a small part of the post you are quoting, if the quote post is grey, then it ends your post with [/span]. What does that mean? putting text here to see if it happens. Otherwise, I will look stupid. [/span]
