The above Print Screen is a photo ob Billis' post further up the board. I could not view the video but could see the above if I quoted Billis. So problem seems to be fixed with a system restore prior to the implimentation of the upgrade. ⊥ǝuu ...ʇɐɔʎdoɔ...

No. But early on after the upgrade, I got the following message after I posted a picture on a thread here: At the time, I didn't know what it was so I selected Run. And that's where I think the problem started. Now coincidentally, after I make a post or refresh this particular page, I get the following notice/warning.
If I select yes, I get the following warning again:
I be lost.

I like the new interface myself. Yeah, it takes a bit of learning, and a bit of patience, but I think it's got a lot of good features we'll all learn to enjoy. Robert, m'luv, if this ol' broad can work with it, you sure can!

Interesting. I am only getting a script error on this page.
I posted the above post about the errors on the 'for those whose pages load with JUST LINKS ... ' and I don't get a script error.

abby, you're welcome. I can tell he's in a mood too because he's starting threads to make fun of others...like he's any better <eye roll> plus anyone who wants to just say "it all sucks" without saying why or what.. well.that says a lot to me.
tenn, i wonder if your error has anything to do with the site you (or the other person) used to generate your upside down text?

Moon-I just deleted the upside Tenn. I copied the upside down letters from Wiki. I still am getting the script error though. Deleting my upside down name still left your upside down name. But I don't think that is the cause because you and I have both posted on page three on the 'for those whose pages load with JUST LINKS ... ' thread and I get no script error on that page. It doesn't happen if I view page 9 of this thread. So there is something on this page my desktop computer doesn't like. Meh.

ɯoouqǝɐɯ-I did a system restore this afternoon and right now I can see and play Youtube videos. Prior to that though, I could not see Youtube videos. When in edit mode of someone else's post which contained a Youtube video, this is what I saw: that is the way the screen appeared on my computer when I added the video and then the actual video appeared when I posted it.

Personally, i would like a version that is just like the old board. Unfortunately, i find this new format very hard to use. I have to enlarge the view a bit because it is harder to read. When i do, i can't see who posted last. I find it very tedious to scroll down, find my place and it loads much slower than the old board. When i read some posts, to go to page 2, i have to go back to the top left corner to click page too. When i see i have a notification i have to click on profile, then click notification and it all seems pretty tedious. I am not trying to be critical as i know you have put a HUGE amount of time and effort to making a great board. And, i thought you had achieved that already! This to me is a downgrade unless there is more tweaking. I am happy to be here but there is no way i can read the volume of topics that i used too.

I do. I just want make Proboards aware. Moon didn't need an "upgrade". That board was topnotch. Just my opinion. I will adjust but i find it hindering.

I don't know if this would be considered a bug or just a change in the way things are done. It used to be if you were reading a thread and then decided to logon it would take you back to where you were in the thread. Now you just go to the home page.

There's not going to be a version like the old board anymore. I don't know if this would be considered a bug or just a change in the way things are done. Sharon, I don't know the answer to your question. I'm always logged in, myself. but i'll try to ask on support when i get some time.

yes, i know changing can be hard. but you had to change when you came here to begin with, if you were used to MSN's format. you got used to it. you'll get used to this too. and as you do, maybe you'll start to appreciate some of the changes.

Hopefully you realize that moon, et.al. are not responsible for the board version changing. They are responsible for us being the first guinea pigs to do it. By definition that means we have the most problems.

laterbloomer, if we were the first and only for several months, you might have a point. but we were first by ONE EFFING DAY! it wouldn't have been any different had we waited that one extra day. give it a rest already.

You know, folks, you might stop to think a minute about what the decision to go first ... be the "guinea pig" says about you. If it had been felt you were a bunch of dummies who couldn't work together to get the job done, it would probably have been a lot smarter to just wait until we were all dragged across the ethernet, kicking and screaming. That's not the case with our membership, though. We've got a bunch of smart, capable posters. Even when we encountered issues, which is inevitable when any big change is made, we were able, as a group, to work our way through those issues. We continue to work our way through issues as they present themselves, individually and collectively. I'd think there would be some pride of accomplishment and some real enjoyment centered around meeting the challenges and making it all work. Seems to me that would be a lot more enjoyable than gritching about the horrors of change. By the way, moonbeam, I've lost my little shoulder-shrugging emote. I think it was called "I dunno" and it spoke volumes!

(yes, i know that's not what you meant but... ) ROFL! Great minds, as they say! I thought the same thing when I read that. The roach shivering in the corner afraid to go potty is probably a male who's found he's in the wrong latrine.

(yes, i know that's not what you meant but... ) If you smelled those restrooms, you'd believe a roach was scared to go potty.

What I noticed yesterday is that if I'm NOT signed in, but lurking and reading, if I decide to sign in I will be taken to the thread that I was reading as a lurker. But so far it takes me to page 1. So I have to keep checking that.
