OMG, I just heard about the whopper of a storm that is coming in. I have never lived in the snow and it sound really SCARY to me. I know that most of you don't have to worry about not having food, but don't you worry about the power going out and having no heat? I'm allergic to the cold!! I look forward to it being over and hearing that everyone is alright. dancinmama, me 2. What does -32 degrees mean? I cannot even fathom that

RA Question: For those of you who have more than 1 Wellness Card, have you ever tried to use the +ups earned on one card to purchase things with on the other card? I have a ton of ups earned on one card but I would like to do some of the deals on my second card but I don't have any ups to start with......will they beep if I try to use them?

I don't know what we'd do if we lost electricity either! If DH's mom has power, we'd head over there, otherwise, we'd have to find a hotel someplace & pray a lot that our pipes didn't freeze & burst. I don't think DH has ever lost power for any length of time at this house. I know my aunt in IL has before though....

Dancinmama concerning storms: I have stocked up on milk, eggs, canned soup and firewood. The camping stove is ready to go, just in case. I have some wood for the fire place so we can sit in front of it and sip wine. There is plenty of bread and PB & J the house. If the electricity goes out pull out the sleeping bags so when you go to bed you can hop in the sleeping bags and pull as many blankets on as you have. The only room in our house the won't be cold is the room with the fire place. So we will be all sleeping in there with as many layer on as possible. So far all of that is not necessary. I have already shovel once today and will hit it again later in the afternoon. I would rather shovel 3-4 two or three times a day than to shovel 12+ inches once. I just hear that I70 by Columbia,Mo. is closed. Red Wagon-I have more kitty coupons if you need more. I think kitties we made by God to be spoiled. So keep up the good work.
jkscott- you are getting the hang of things WTG! I joined when you did and it's fun to see the deals you are doing.
I appreciate everyone listing their deals I am learning a lot from other peoples posts.
Just go the offical word. CVS is closing @ 6:00 today in the KC metro area. I am glad it is happening. Just sent DH out the door to work. Normally he wouldn't be home until 10:30 but thankfully CVS will be closed at 6:00

Totally NAG, but absolutely hilarious!!! This link was on a different thread - damnyouautocorrect.com. I've completely embarrassed myself at work and cried my makeup off because I've been laughing so hard.

kcgal..... glad your DH will be getting off early my DH is usually home about 12:45 a.m but with this weather I hope they let them go home early, or I'll be up again until he gets home, like I was last night, then I had parents go in to work, so I had to be up early and just got a call that they're going to be working late to top it off........ My plan was to lay down for a nap after the little monkeys went home

Question!!
Hello, I went to 3 RAs, the first two did not have any of the viactiv vitamins and the 3rd only had 5. I bought those 5 and got a 10 UPR, when my store stocks its self tomorrow can I buy another 3 to reach the $50 and get another $10 UPR? It doesn't give a balance on my receipt so I wasn't sure if I should bought them all at once?
TIA for any help (sorry if this question has already been answered!!!)

It should give you the other one when you buy the remaining items . The balance would be at the very bottom of the receipt, after the UPRs. It almost looks like an UPR.

Mawmaw: I just used DH's card at Rite Aid with my UPs and it didn't beep or anything. I wanted to use his for the heart reward and pepsi deal. You shouldn't have any problems.
I did my monthly Rite Aid totals and I started the year with a $25.00 RA giftcard. I spent $19.63 OOP and saved $555.80 in coupons but got a SCR for $41.00, so a profit of $21.37. Does anyone else do monthly totals? I haven't done CVS or WAGs yet.

They will not beep. It is soooo nice because you do not have to keep track of what rewards you earned on which card like you do at CVS. Using more than one card is how I have earned soooo many UPs over the last couple of days. I think I'm holding $71 right now.

Missourimommy: We're getting the bad weather here in Ohio too. No school for me today. I'm afraid our power will go out too. I called my neighbor friend and will stay with her if our power goes out. She has a fireplace so at least I'll be warm. I just got done baking some cookies and will have to find some deals on baking supplies. Does anyone know if the drugstores sell vanilla and/ or Crisco shortening? Ruby- I have seen both at CVS. We're getting bad weather at my house in ohio too, but I was able to stop at Riteaid on the way home to use a few expire UPs. BOGO dixie plates $3.99-$3/2 video values Q Tilex $2-$1 Internet printable Q=$1 Paid with ups $2 in ups and paid $0.14 in tax.

Ohiositter- small world, I always stop at the Huber Heights exit when I drive to my parents house in Indy. Seriously speedway next to Target consistently has the cheapest gas I have found off the interstate from Cleveland to the Indiana state line (taking 71 to 70).

The sleet has finally turned to snow---with a VENGENCE!!! My 6-yr old and I WALKED the almost 2-miles one way to get flour. Is that bad??? When we got there, we called hubby and by the time we were finished, he was there to pick us up. School has already been called for tomorrow...and I'm pretty sure they'll be out Thursday because of the cold. Ok. Off to make homemade bread to go with homemade vegetable soup.

CVS question - has anyone bought the 6 pk Dove bars this week? The ad shows the price as 7$, whereas the scanned price is 6$. I was counting on the 5 ECB to print with 2 6pks and one of the Dove bw for 1.99, but unfortunately the price messed me up. The 1.99 bw is also not couting towards the ECB deal.

Hope EVERYONE is safe. DH is on 12 hr plowing, started at noon, won't be home until after midnight. Been trying to keep the driveway clear for him, but it is a losing battle. My office let us out at 2:30, been shoveling ever since. DH asked someone to come and at least clear the aprons of the driveway. He was here at 4:30, but won't be back until tomorrow after lunch. (He's on opposite shift as DH) Winds are 40-50 MPH now. So, I've been clearing the drifts every hour. Even our "puppy" (she's 4) who's part Husky doesn't even want to be out there...No hounding for me for a while.

Frugalsuz - thank you for your blog. I am getting so much stuff at RA this week (once I got my head on straight) for practically nothing! Rite Aid has been great to us all lately! ;D Driving home from work today wasn't too bad, but I'm glad I parked my car the way I did. My whole car was covered in ice and it was so bad on the passenger side that tug as I might, I couldn't get the doors open! Luckily the drivers side wasn't as bad, otherwise I might still be at work.

frugalsuz, My brother is in Skillman and is getting ready for more! He said they don't get just an inch here and there. He said you all have been getting it 20+ inches at a time!! Be safe!!
dogmom, be careful and try to stay warm! Hubby at least cleared the drive enough that we can get in and out.

I had to pick up the Rocket Man from having "his surgery" so I figured I might as well do some hounding while I was out.
Rite Aid Picked up 13 Lays Stax and 1 Chex Mix to add $14 toward the $100 I need for my Winter Rewards. The food UPs also have a later expiration date (3/19 I think) so I don't have to spend them as quickly as the others.
WalMart Picked up (19) Ronzoni Garden Rotini Pasta $1.08 - $1.00 (tearpad). I paid a total of $1.52 OOP.
Walgreens I got (4) more Natrol paying $1.12 OOP for $12 in RRs. Then I immediately used two of them to buy the Neuragen, (2) Van Kamp Pork & Beans, and a Valentine gift bag (filler). I paid $1.52 in OOP. In the end, I paid $2.64 for $16 in RRs most of which was sales tax.
Safeway Since it was after 4:00, I decided to see if I could get a good deal on any meats. I was able to get 7.35 lbs. of 93/7 ground beef for $8.83 or $1.20/lb. It was 50% off (2 packages dated today) and I got an additional $2 off each package using the Rancher's Reserve meat coupon.
When I was in Safeway DH calls to tell me that my glasses are in at Costco. It is across town and I had JUST COME FROM THERE!! As much as I wanted the glasses, I was just too tired to go get them and I really needed to get Rocket Man home. I think I'll wait until Thursday and swing back by Rite Aid to see what else I might be able to buy.

Luckily, I'm way down here in the southernmost part of IN so we are only getting rain...and lots of it. Local station said we got about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch so far today. I'm afraid it will freeze tonight since the HIGH tomorrow and Thursday will only be in the mid-20's. I imagine school will be out tomorrow. To top it all off, the boiler at the elementary school where I work went kapluey yesterday. We have space heaters in each room today and it worked fine. However, today was in the mid-40's, not the 20's. We do have a back-up plan until the boiler is repaired. ISTEP starts the 28th so we can't afford anymore days off!
