HOUND ALERT! If anyone has any of the $2 Walgreens coupons to spare for the diapers, I'd love them! I just went to 2 at lunch and they only have the $2 off diapers and wipes coupon. And no coupon books either...grrrr! I can trade some other coupons if you need... kristenmerrill at msn dot com Thanks! I looked on my lunch break too, and all I found were $2 off diapers AND wipes as well. I'm going to check out some other stores and see if I have any better luck. If not, here's a deal for those coupons: 2 diapers $8.99 each and 2 wipes $2.99 each, both are BOGO so $11.98 total. Then you'd use the two $2 peelies and the $2 coupon from the booklet (takes off $4) = $3.98 for two packs of diapers and two wipes

Suziq, Last year in between my swagbucks gift cards, my points gift cards, SCR rebates and other rebates, I made a little more than 600$. That was with only one rebate address. I am doubtful if I can make that much this year, since I am not shopping CVS and WAGs at all now, but hopefully RA will make up for all of that. SaveinLA, You did great last year! $600.00!!! That could be school supplies, uniforms, books for the kids. A vacation for others. $600.00 toward an EF. You are an inspiration!

And just think - no payroll taxes and no income taxes, so in essence if you are in the 15% federal tax bracket that $600 is equivalent to $730 in earned income (not taking additional value due to lack of paying state income tax).

With me going back into the workforce before the end of the year, I need a working system for looking up my deals and everything. I am ballparking a schedule, with personal time in the morning and evening for e-mails, WIR and FB, but would like to know what what blogs and sites you guys think are most helpful or important. I know frugalsuz's blog is mentioned often. But I know that certain ones are regional. I get most of my fliers in my e-mail already- so that helps. I am in MD.

That is what I call a "nice" Valentine's day envelope! What deal was that from? ? I can't even remember of keep up with them, LOL.

Ok folks, starting searching for these coupons now! At Walgreens next week, there's going to be an awesome deal on Walgreens brand diapers. They're $8.99 each and will be on BOGO sale. There's also a coupon booklet floating around stores called Infant Care. Here's a pic: docs.google.com/document/d/1Bzz4vJocUSYMAVMZY_AhTmYc4JRZ-_qooBUCrCUQLr4/edit?hl=en&pli=1#There are also $2 peelie coupons on Walgreens brand of baby wipes so see if you can track these down. Apparently, there are a bunch of different kind of peelies out there, the ones you want are $2 off a pack of diapers (some are $2 off diapers AND wipes). Here's the math: 2 diapers $8.99 (second is free with BOGO sale) - $4 from infant care book ($2 off each pack, second discount will scan automatically) - two $2 peelies = $0.99 for two packs of diapers!Geez, that's such a good deal, it makes me wish I needed diapers. Oh, jeez. Be careful what you wish for!!!

Smoking Hound Alert! There is a fantastic deal going on at Albertsons (and I think Jewel too) this week. Buy $25 select Conagra products (Wesson, Pam, Hunts, Healthy Choice, Marie Callenders, Peter Pan, Snapple, Rosarita, Swiss Miss, Guldens...) and get back $10 oyno cat. But here's the great part: at stores with the new updated registers, the $25 is based on shelf prices! It's easy to get to $25 with shelf price, use coupons if you have them, and get back a $10 oyno to use for another transaction. Example: Healthy Choice soup. Sale price is $1, shelf price is $2.99. Buy 10 for a cost of $10, but shelf price of $29.90. Use five $2/1 coupons from a recent insert, pay $5 and get back a $10 cat. Other items are not as big a sale/shelf span, but still wonderful deals. But proceed with caution, because this only works at stores with NEW registers.

Safeway used to have something like that two or three times a year, but haven't done it in a couple of years. One time I got over $1000 worth of groceries for very little OOP (like around $20) cuz I just kept buying Bertolli spaghetti sauce (for a profit in CATs) and rolling CATs. That was the last time that they did it. Hmmmm...... I could NEVER have done what I did without the help of some of the gals on this board who generously sent me their extra Bertolli coupons.

I'd love to send you an envie. Please PM me with your addie.

It's so thoughtful of you, and if I had not ordered way too many coupons from ebay I would have been thrilled to take you up on the offer. I am meeting a friend in the morning to take her some of my soup coupons, in fact! If you can't use those coupons, they will make someone a fabulous deal; the soup is really the best catalyst for profits in this promotion. I know the promotion goes this week, and I have heard some noise about it possibly going for two weeks, so maybe they will help somebody else. Karma for your kindness.

Here are a few of my planned transactions for the sale at Albies this week. Remember, you qualify for the $10 cat each time with the higher shelf price AT THE NEW REGISTER STORES ONLY, but pay the lower sale price.
1) 10 soup x 2.99 = 26.91 ,but really $10, less 5 $1/2 coupons = pay $5 cash, get $10 cat.
2) 4 soup x 2.99 = 11.96 but really $4, use 2 $1/2 coupons = $2 2 Pam x 3.99 = 7.98 but really $5 1 Wesson 6.29, but really 3.49 total $10.49 Pay with $10 cat and 49c cash, get $10 cat
3) 4 soup x 2.99 = 11.96 but really $4, use 2 $1/2 coupons = $2 3 Hunts tomatoes x (1.99? = 5.96, 1.79 = 5.16) but really $3 2 Marie Callender pot pies (not sure of shelf price, anything over $3.50 works), pay $6 total $11 Pay with $10 cat and $1 cash, get $10 cat
4) 4 soup x 2.99 = 11.96 but really $4, use 2 $1/2 coupons = $2 1 Guldens mustard 2.29 but really $1 1 Snapple 6 pack 7.49, but really $5 less $1 coupon from recent insert = $4 (get back $5 mail in rebate) 1 Wesson 6.29, but really 3.49 total $10.49 Pay with $10 cat and 49c cash, get $10 cat
5) 4 soup x 2.99 = 11.96 but really $4, use 2 $1/2 coupons = $2 6 Hunts Snack Pack pudding x 1.99 = 11.94 but really $6 1 Pam 3.99 but really 2.50 total $10.50 Pay with $10 cat and 50c cash, get $10 cat
6) 4 soup x 2.99 = 11.96 but really $4, use 2 $1/2 coupons = $2 4 Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers x 3.99 = 15.96 but really $10, use 2 $1/2 coupons = 8.00 total $10 Pay with $10 cat, get another back
7) 4 soup x 2.99 = 11.96 but really $4, use 2 $1/2 coupons = $2 2 Manwich x 1.89 = 3.78 but really $2 3 Hunts tomatoes x (1.99? = 7.96, 1.79 = 7.16) but really$3 1 Wesson 6.29, but really 3.49 total $10.49 Pay with $10 cat and 49c cash, get $10 cat
8) 4 soup x 2.99 = 11.96 but really $4, use 2 $1/2 coupons = $2 2 Marie Callender Fresh Flavor Steamers x 4.99 = 9.98 but really $6 - 2 $1 coupons = $4 1 any $3 meal or 3 $1 items (Brown & Serve, Banquet dinners, Hunts tomatoes, Guldens, Snack Pack) = $3 total $10 Pay with $10 cat, get another back
As you can see, the soup is a catalyst for a great deal. Hope someone else gets in on this great deal.

Response from Safeway as promised, received late 2/10:
Dear Mrs. Abccd:
Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the level of service at your local Dominick's store.
You stated the Joy of Football booklets were not available for customers. Employees had to retrieve them. You also stated the employees seemed to have been upset customers would ask for these booklets. Lastly, you mentioned the checkers take a long time to check out customers. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not consistent with our standards. It is not our intention to offend or upset our Valued Customers, but to provide them with excellent customer service. Your comments are important to us and will be forwarded to the Store Manager and our Advertising Department for further review. Please be assured that your concerns will be addressed.
If you would like to discuss this further or if any of your account information needs updating, please reply to this email or call our toll free number at 1-877-723-3929 and reference contact I.D. 18167272. One of our associates will be happy to assist you.
We appreciate your business and look forward to seeing you soon.
Thank you for shopping at Dominick's.
This whole thing is a bunch of B.S. I have no idea what store manager they are forwarding this to since I never named a specific store and I did say I had issues at 3 stores in 2 weeks in the original complaint. They do not address the issue of none of the coupons (Safeway or mfg) scanning or the cashier NOT understanding my wanting credit for it and her attitude to me.

I am down to 3 cases of Mighty Dog ! I guess that means that I need to start looking for good deals on canned dog food again. I have not had to buy canned food in A YEAR AND A HALF! That was one of my best hounds, EVER! And a BIG thank you to all of the ladies here and on the old GC thread that sent all of the Q's to make is possible. For the newbies, there was an EXCELLENT coupon out about a year and a half ago that made Mighty Dog cans FREE, actually, BETTER than free. One of the Q's, the "free can" Q, gave me about .40 overage per coupon at my local grocery store, and there was another one, that paired with a sale, made them free. It was the only time I have asked a store to special order for me. I got 17 cases (24 packs) for FREE and donated about half to the Humane Society. I also had about 300+ single cans. I feel PANIC that I'm down to 3 cases! LOL! I'd be happy to take any good dog food can coupons that anyone is looking to get rid of so I can start looking for deals again!

Oh goodness! So apparently o.b. discontinued one line of their tampons - the Ultra line. They're going for $15+ for a box on ebay! Can you imagine paying that much for a box of tamps? Wowzers. As I was poking around Walgreens yesterday looking for $2 peelie coupons for diapers (no luck) I noticed that one store had an older version of their diapers on clearance. They were in white packages and were 75% off, which was $2.32 for a mega pack (50 or so I think) of diapers. I was thinking last night that the $2 coupon from the infant booklet might work on these so I'm going to give it a try after work. The coupon says its for the jumbo packs and these were mega, so it might not work. But if it does, that would be $0.24 for a mega pack! I only saw these in one store, so as with any other clearance deal, YMMV (your management/mileage may vary).

SouthernSavers.com would be a great source for the drug store matchups. I used to be able to peruse a ton of blogs, but since I've been so busy with working and two kids, I usually stick to Frugalsuz and southernsavers. SS has a clickable list where she lists all the deals for that week, but you just click the ones you want and print those. It saves me a ton of time because I don't have to search for the deals and compile my own list. The grocery matchups on that site are regional to the south, but the drug store deals are nationwide, except for areas that get the short ad.
