Virgil, I am willing to have gayness with you so you can get the discount. Just this once, though. I don't want you to get hooked. ![](http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/smileys/1-1.gif) I'm with Avis on this. If they want to offer a discount to whomever, for whatever reason, they ought to be able to do that. I think it would be a useful service they were more transparent about it.

Virgil-this wasn't exactly your finest hour. from your opening post: "Gays should by no means get discounts. On anything. Ever." It's sarcasm, Tenn. ![](http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/smileys/eyeroll.gif) The whole OP is positively dripping with it. If you legitimately couldn't tell, I hereby declare satire on the web well and truly dead. The entire point of this thread was to get you to admit that you (and various others) value an organization's autonomous right to offer discounts to groups and organizations of their choice above "making things equal across the board". I did that. I did it because I agree with you. The only difference being that my values don't suddenly reverse priority when the organization being offered a discount is a church group. Yours do, and despite a valiant attempt to bury the issue in "she could get a travel agency discount" minutia, everybody here knows it. Let Avis give discounts to gay travel agencies. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/thumbsup.png) Let water parks give discounts to church groups. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/thumbsup.png) Still no feeding the trolls. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/thumbsdown.png) Virgil-if your well documented hostility toward gays wasn't so apparent, your sarcasm would have been quickly realized. I would collect all your previous hostile/negative posts but Proboards' search function is useless. And you admit you set a trap for posters with this thread. In the past I have seen the moderators warn posters setting traps was trollish behavior and to knock it off.

![](http://forums.clubrsx.com/images/smilies/yeahthat.gif) And I don't see where you have any basis for calling Dom a troll. He's a regular poster that disagrees with you.

Virgil: "If a homosexual man was attending services and insisted on exhibiting or talking about his orientation, he'd be asked to leave by the ministry, as would a vocal atheist, or a brazen crook, or anybody with open contempt for Biblical law and church doctrines."
Virgil-Would a gay person bringing his/her partner to your church services, and asked by the minister what their relationship is with each other and honestly answered, be asked to leave by the ministry and congregation?

"Baiting" (trapping) per the CoC is putting a poster in a position where they're compelled to answer out of spite, or frustration, or in a way that encourages them to violate the CoC.
The only 'entrapment' in this case is a systematic, logical reduction of your arguments to demonstrate the existence of a double-standard. If it was reasonable to expect that you'd blow a gasket because of that (I didn't think so), then I'd be guilty of violating the CoC.
Consider it a mark of respect. There are posters on this board whose arguments I don't dissect precisely because there is a reasonable chance they'll blow a gasket.
If they were just two men acting like everyone else, I guarantee you that nobody would assume they were sexual partners. If they were holding hands, kissing, fondling each other, etc., my guess is that the minister would take them aside after church, clearly explain to them the church's position on the matter, and possibly take them through a line-by-line study on what scripture has to say about homosexuality.
Beyond that, I honestly can't see a reasonable couple continuing to attend. If they did continue to attend, it would be viewed with heavy suspicion. Like a man going to the local "Hear Me Roar" Women's Lib chapter and asking to sit in on their meetings. One couldn't help but suspect he wasn't there because he believed in the message being preached.
There are more than 20 posters on NMSNM who regularly, starkly disagree with me, and only one I consider a troll. We'll leave it at that.
