"I'd always figured that by the time I got to the age I am, we'd have the technology to simply buy a new younger body." *You just have to accept who you are and try to live a healthy, happy and full life. I try to take care of myself, but in the end I AM aging, I WON'T look or feel 20 again, and I just accept it. As long as I am happy in my own skin, have a solid marriage and a decent family life, and am a good person...that is ALL I care about.

How far can I go for that? It's actually not a bad fare.

Pepper spray or a travel size can of Lysol spray. I find that it takes care of the smelly people as well as the jerks.

Google it. When I'm not sure, I take the Lysol which is legal everywhere. You can use hairspray but I sprayed it on a dog once and it only made him sneeze. But long enough to get his attention off of me.

I'm torn about this because I'm a bigger guy and could use to lose a few pounds. That being said, when I flew a month ago I could easily get my lapbelt on and lower my armrest. So I've got to guess that the only people who are going to be inconvenienced are morbidly obese. They should still be treated with respect of course but the airplanes only have so much room.

Rukh have her carry spray sunscreen. I asked DH to do my face and he had the brilliant idea to spray me square in the face. OMFG, I am suprised we did not have to go to the ER. I was incapacitated for at least 10 minutes.

"DD is having to endure it now and she was almost in tears about having to take the bus alone somewhere and she is so tired of guys hitting on her all the time.
She is still only 15. It really makes me angry the way some men just won't leave an attractive young women alone. They just keep pushing and pushing and you never know if they are going to follow you when you get off the bus.
Any advice for her?"
*Keep her out of Italy at all costs!!

Good idea! Go to a Dollar Store and get a personal safety alarm. With one push, it puts out a piercing alarm (batteries can be changed and there is an on/off switch). I got it for my daughter when she was at college and sent a few extras along when she moved out west. Told her to carry it when she is alone getting in and out of her car in daytime and at night. My son rolled his eyes when I tried to give HIM one. lol Personal safety alarms can be ordered online as well. I used to be able to get a good one at Walgreens where there is a pull out feature on a cord that activates a LOUD alarm, but I don't know if they make it anymore. It is in the flashlight section there.

There is a backpack too that I have seen with an alarm built in. Online somewhere.

I've taken my travel size Lysol and my travel size perfume thru TSA numerous times, no problem. I used to have a hairspray but for me, it didn't work enough. After the dog incident, I was too scared to try it again for personal defense. Understand I only carry those when I fly. If I drive, I have pepper spray and my Smith.

I like the knee to groin, heel of hand to nose, two fingers jabbed into the eye sockets approach to self-defense. ;D DON'T EVEN TRY TO MESS WITH ME!! If that doesn't work, the new concealed carry will!

I don't want anyone to get close enough to touch me. Or me to have to touch them.
