You two (You two being damnotagain and frankq)! Cut it out with the digs at one another. Disagree civilly, or ignore one another. Anything else is kindergarten material. mmhmm, Administrator

If "you two" don't cut it out, your posts will be disappearing. Nobody said you couldn't disagree. Please do. Just do so civilly. That means "without insult".

Busy day again today, just wanted to stop in here at coffee time and ask; Whatever happened to........ The recovery in the US is all just smoke and mirrors? Without the economic recovery from the balance of Fed intervention and consumer spending, this question wouldn't even be coming up right now. The Federal Debt Is ... Shrinking?

Awwww ........MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM.................. Alright.....I'll stop asking him to provide any details on his ridiculous claims. My suggestion would be to spend some time thinking how to reasonably ask for details in a non-personal, legitimate, non-emotional manner. I'm just as guilty of anyone for asking pointed questions more for the purpose of stirring the pot, especially when I'm on the prowl for a good fight. One of many things I'm trying to correct as we all should.

Well looks like the markets are trying for a turn around from the open. Close to even now, a good thing. (after all this is the "market talk" board) Right just like the puppy's and rainbow thread

Well we have now turned positive. Nothing wrong with rainbows and puppy's as a break from ALL the Market Talk on this board. Well...so much for the correction I was looking for........for now anyway.

I'm just wondering ... after all our efforts we still ALL SEEM TO PREFER BEING SNARKY ? Jesus, I get this all day long from my teenage boy, I don't expect to see it day after day from us supposed ADULTS!!! There, I feel better now. By the way, back on topic what ever happened to ... ah ... um ..... oh, hyperinflation .... um .... replacement of the USD as the world's reserve currency (seems bit coins is out for that coveted designation) .... ah ... the siege of "The Casino"?

I think snarkiness becomes a habit after awhile, sunrnr. Like any habit, it's not easy to break. It'll take practice and there are bound to be some slips along the way. The important thing, as I see it, is to make the effort honestly and fairly.

ALL OF US, myself included, need to just not feel like we have to respond to a comment that we do not agree with. If you can not discuss someones comment nicely than just pass it by and let it fade. We all know it will drop down and no longer be seen within a day or two. We can make this a board with legitimate discussion and opinions again. WE DO NOT ALL HAVE TO AGREE.

Whatever happened to ..... common sense? How does that saying go "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" or something like that? Seems the Fed is insisting quantitative easing will eventually pull out of the huge hole we're in economically. QE infinity will continue with the fed buying agency mortgage backed securities at a rate of $45 M a month and longer-term Treasury securities at a rate of $40M a month. From the Federal Open Market Committee's May 1 press release ...
I personally believe we're still in a period of deflation, not inflation. Would not some inflation actually help the situation? George Ure sums it up this way.

*chuckle* Tofu's easy. It just picks up the flavor of whatever you decide to cook it with. You can do almost anything with the stuff. Glad you're out of the hospital and home to recover, Bruce. It won't be all that long before you're feeling back to your ornery self.

I think snarkiness becomes a habit after awhileI think the Bible says, snarkiness is next to Godliness.... It is. Godliness slaps it down about twice an hour. It used to be twice a minute, but snarkiness is beginning to get a bit slow to get up.
