We've had cooler than normal temperatures and the news just had it's going to get colder for the next week.

According to the newspaper, we got 16" of snow in our suburb, and there may be another inch or two today. I'm a little surprised that the snowplows haven't come by yet. Well, it is a government holiday.
I have the ingredients for rice krispie bars and crab casserole - two of my DH's favorites. It will help make up for him having to clear the driveway.

Outside, 3 below zero with a 12 mph wind. Light snow. I am grateful the big nastiness went south of us.
Inside, 70 degrees, no wind.

It's a white out again. MN-Investor you are lucky to be home today. I doubt the salt/sand trucks have been able to get much done today. I also hope there are no donkeys on the road for my drive home. I know it's a lot to ask for. Now, I just have to be nice over the next hour to get someone to go start/warm up/shovel off my car

The plows have been out on my street, which I suppose is a good thing. I haven't made my way to the end of the driveway yet with my shovel, and my back is already sore. Thank goodness for heating pads! ETA: I think we've got about 10-12" so far--it's hard to tell with all the drifting.

It's still snowing here, just not as heavily as yesterday.
I was really surprised that the plows didn't get here until 1:00. I suppose a number of city workers took the day off since their kids are out of school.
Take it easy doing the end of the driveway. Take periodic breaks. That plowed snow is always a killer!

We had light snow this morning, just a dusting. 10 above with a high expected of 24 and we may see the sunshine this afternoon. Hopefully all the snow down in the Cities will be gone by next month when we have to go down there for the gun show.

DH blew out our driveways and parking lot yesterday afternoon. I need to buy some salt today to try and get rid of our "skating rink"

The good news: all the snow will be gone. The bad new: it will be flooding the rivers. As long as the gun show is on high ground, you should be fine.

Well, according to three different sources here in the SF Bay Area, there's a fairly good chance of snow on Thursday or Friday night and the the snow level will drop to about 500 feet. They're talking snow that actually sticks to the ground so it should be interesting to see what happens on the freeways around here. We're at approx 1200 feet so if it comes to pass, I seriously doubt I'll head to lower ground for anything at the store. Snow on the ground and a very steep hill are all part of the perfect storm and I'm sure I wouldn't be able to stop the car before I ended up in the bay!

Well it was 25 above this morning, must've warmed up overnight. We are supposed to see the sun again and have a high of 32, but by Friday back down to below zero again
