Not a huge surprise...NASCAR had to make a statement. Ultimately, it may not keep Logano out of the championship round, if he does well at the next two races, since he's not far out of the top four. Interesting that a number of polls on the Internet showed the majority of fans in favor of Kenseth getting NO penalty at all.

Cannot wait to see fan reaction to Logano at Texas during driver intro.

If Nascar gives into all the backlash, then yep, I think it'll be reduced to just a giant fine.  But if I was betting money on it, I'd say it only gets reduced to a 1 race suspension.  2 races is too much for the crime.

Two-race suspension upheld so far, but there is still the final appeal. I don't see him winning it on final appeal, though. The force of the fans is with him, but NASCAR is ticked about it. I don't have an issue with punishment; just that in this case, it is inconsistent with what has come before. Harvick slows down and wrecks other cars and gets nothing?

WooHooo for another win for Jr!  I do think it's funny that he won by 3 feet in his pit box when the caution came out.  Talk about a random way to win.  lol


I'd bet money on Harvick, but I'd love to see Truex Jr win it all.   I'd have no problem if Gordon won it either.   Basically, anyone but Kryle.   which means of course, that Kryle will win and I'll have to destroy something. 

You know that Matty had to be celebrating when all of Penske was eliminated.

The zoo in Homestead introduced a new big cat exhibit and lined up the 4 remaining drivers die cars and turned the cat loose.  First one he went to would be the predicted Champ.....he went to the 4 car first.   Harvick #4 the win.  Anyone but Kyle!

I think that general consensus is that Harvick is favored, given that he is the defending champ.
But Gordon has the most on the line here, given that it is his last race. I think he will take the most risks.
Kyle tends to take himself out of these high-pressure situations due to his own stupidity; it's shocking that he hasn't yet, but I think that's mostly due to stupider situations occurring around him that took other drivers out ahead of him.
Truex is the sleeper here. I think he could sneak in and just steal the whole thing.

I am glad we have tickets to this one. We have to arrive at the buttcrack of dawn, almost. We are going down as part of a group (our local Mustang club is featured at the track, so watch for us!).

I think if Truex wins it'll be the feel good, heart strings win.  Everyone knows how he was screwed by MRW and knows what his gf has gone thru.  did you know she is still receiving chemo once a month?  Plus a small, one car team that is NOT based in NC.  It's been a long time since a 1 car team won it all.   I'd cry right along with everyone else is he wins.

Gordon winning would let him go out on top.  That's another thing that doesn't happen often.  It would be great for him and his fans.

Well, it was quite the ending at Miami. Busch got pretty good fan reaction; can't fault him for the comeback, even though I am not a fan. Harvick got booed quite a bit. But Logano drew the biggest hate of all. Every time he got passed on the track, people cheered. And Gordon still goes out a champion, despite the Drive for Five coming up short.
OK, the countdown begins....three months until Daytona....

Aw, sorry he did not win. But second is a better day than the one he had at Daytona. He's in a good place this year, I think; he's settled into knowing who he is and what he needs to do. And more importantly, where he fits in the Earnhardt family legacy. He's not his dad, and he not only knows and accepts it, he has come to embrace who he is as Junior. And I think that has made him a better, more approachable driver. That win will come. I am going to bet it will be Sunday, May 1 at Talladega. Could be sooner, but I think Talladega will be the one.

Mike Wallace was attacked & severely beaten after a concert last night in North Carolina.  His daughter was also attacked & beaten.   Mike was knocked unconcious & then kicked in the face at least 3 times.  Kenny Wallace blew it up on twitter & facebook.  Naming the company that the guys work for (they were driving a company truck).  The 3 men were arrested & released before Mike & his daughter were even out of the hospital.  It's the 3rd arrest for two of the men for the same thing.  Beating the hell outta someone after a concert/event.    Check out Kenny's twitter page & FB page.  He has pics of Mike.  It's bad.

Remember that one time Tony Stewart drove around in his own poop and I'm pretty sure he still won the race! That was my main man back in the day. I used to always root for him when he was in the orange car, mom said I chose him because of the color and he was easy to keep up with. When he stopped driving for Home Depot I stopped watching. 

I haven't watched NASCAR in years though. I tend to want Danica Patrick to do the best now.
