Geez, as "slow" as it's been, I sure have gotten a lot of free items this month: Mennen Speed Stick, Pantene, Starbucks Refreshers, Smart Balance Spreadable Butter, Sundrop soda, Nestle singles, Good N Natural bars, Bounty Basic 8-pks., Charmin Basic 16 roll pk., and McDonalds Chillers. Next on the list is Ecotrin at WAGs on Sunday. Thank you to the gals who generously shared your coupons with me. I REALLY appreciate it.

Thanks dancinmama. It's been a long time since I received any $ off coupon or CRT. I am glad that I could take advantage of it.

You're welcome! BOGO q's tend to confuse everyone - from couponers to cashiers. In the example you just shared, it works like this: I've been doing this a long time and sometimes I can't seem to wrap my pea brain around the BOGO deals/coupons. On top of that, if you haven't had a similar deal in a while, you have to make sure the latest and greatest coupon policy did not make a change regarding BOGOs. Personally, I'm glad that I can just come here and ask the experts. Where I get thrown off, is when there's a B2G1 coupon and trying to combine that with a B2G1 or BOGO sale. LOL Plus, with all the new store coupon policies, it gets crazy. I usually don't touch it when it gets into that realm. ----- For those who like Milky Way candy bars, make sure you grab the .75/2 IP on coupons.com and also grab it on Rite Aid Load 2 Card. Combined with a sale, will make Milk Way bars cheap.

Ok, ladies & gents (?) - we need guys body wash here. I am down to the last two bottles in my stockpile, and DH goes through a bottle every 2 weeks or so (I know - no idea how as mine last me about a month - 5 weeks). Any good places to get it? Any good deals at the $1 store if I have to go there for a few bottles in the mean time?

leanna, I agree. The B1G150% off confuses me with the B1G1F Q and I leave those deals alone.

There is a deal on Irish Spring body wash right now at CVS. Buy 2/$7 and get a $4 EB. There is a $.50/1 MC in the 5/20 SS bringing the cost to $1 each. HTH ETA: Found one at WAGs too. They have Dove Men's Body Wash 4/$15 and get a $5RR. iheartwags has a link to a $.75/1 printable. If the coupon is still available and you can get your hands on 4 of those suckers, the cost comes to $1.75 ea. - not as good a deal as the Irish Spring at CVS. Oh well; I tried.

Strange. There are NO J4U specials on my Safeway ad or mentioned by any of my 3 area bloggers. I even checked the web site for new offers and almost everything seems old and expires 5/28 (Mon). Ya think, maybe, Safeway is FINALLY admitting there is a problem that needs fixing and/or goodbye entire program. I have NOT received any reply to the online complaint I filed on 5/19.
What the devil is going on w/produce??? Between Tue & Wed I hit my 2 best stores and either the $$ were sky-high or the stuff looked like it should have been clearanced 3 days ago. That should NOT be happening at this tie of year.
Hinil I forget what part of Chicago you are in and what areas are easy for you to travel within BUT we are getting a BIG Walmart near the Chicago/Lincolnwood/Skokie border in late 2013 or 2014. It will be on Touhy about ½-1 mi west of Mc Cormic (just west of Lincolnwood Town Plaza). I have seen and used coupons at Walmart for an ‘any size’ product that is priced at 0.97 and a couple even better ones.
Dancin I have NOT gotten a $/$$ (other than 10/50-joke!!!) at CVS in YEARS. Prob no need to compete so much in my area. We only have WAG, no Rite Aid and Walmart is a bit of a hike (and a major PITA here).
Constanz Did they try rebooting the red machine? That often fixes the issue.
For anyone planning to do the Ecotrin deal at WAG starting 5/27, there is a $1 coupon out there. Bit of a pain to access but its Bricks so can print 2. NOT coming up in my history but try the gsk (glaxo smith kline) website.

My Wags would only take off the 50% item on those type of deals, so it's not worth me wasting my coupon on. Sounds like those of you who have CVS are able to get some rocking deals with this sort of thing! Ok, ladies & gents (?) - we need guys body wash here. OMG, I just had an awesome time on the hounding trail. First of all, I have to say that my CVS is the absolute BEST....regarding BEST Foods Mayo, that is. ;D I had an oooooold rain check and (6) $.55/1s for Kraft Mayo that I HAD TO HAVE to make my scenario work. They had been out and I asked for it to be ordered. In the meantime, I clipped coupons for the Best Foods mayo ($1/1 from the 5/20 RP) and thought I'd ask for a substitution if they didn't get the Kraft in. Sure enough no Kraft, but the morning AM was more than happy to substitute the Best Foods. ;D I decided that I would ask the cashier if I could use the $3/$10 cosmetics CRT on the Pantene. I said, "I can't use this on shampoo, can I?" Her response, "Sure!!" ;D CVS - Trip #126.00 (8) Pantene (they're ringing up at $3.25 at my store) 9.00 (6) Best Foods Mayo (substitute for the Kraft rain check) 2.00 (2) Heinz Mustard 1.69 (1) Ragu 1.59 Sales Tax 40.28 Subtotal - 3.00 $3/10 Cosmetics CRT -10.00 EB (expiring 5/27) -13.00 (4) BOGO Pantene - 6.00 (2) $3/2 Pantene - 6.00 (6) $1/1 Best Foods (an even better Q than what I had for the Kraft!!) 2.28 OOP - 2.00 EB .28 OOP --> $4EB (Pantene) / $3EB (Best Foods Mayo/Ragu) AND a $5/$15 at the bottom of my receipt!! I had the $2 EB in my hand and the cashier asked if I wanted to use it. I told her I didn't think I could, but she insisted that it would take. Yep, slick as snot. The whole transaction was a complete fluke, but it worked out soooo good. ;D That's the second time that the register allowed me to cut into sales tax this week. Hmmm....that could change my shopping drastically at CVS. Safeway (same shopping center as CVS) 13.75 (11) Farmer John breakfast sausage 5.97 (3) 64 oz. Welchs Grape Juice ($1.99 ea. w/ in-ad Q, Limit 3) 19.72 Subtotal -11.00 (11) $1/1 Farmer John (5/20 SS) - 3.00 (3) $1/1 Welchs (2/12/RP) 5.72 OOP While I was in Safeway it dawned on me that because the cashier had no problems taking the $3/$10 cosmetics CRT for the shampoo, I could cobble together another scenario on a different card and use my last (3) Pantene BOGO Qs . Luckily CVS and Safeway are in the same shopping center. CVS - Trip #2$19.50 (6) Pantene 1.36 Sales Tax 20.86 Subtotal - 3.00 $3/$15 IP (from saying something about my pharmacist on FB) - 3.00 $3/$10 Cosmetics - 9.75 (3) Pantene BOGO - 3.00 (1) $3/2 Pantene 2.11 OOP --> $4EB (Pantene) Nob Hill (across the street from Safeway and CVS) $3.29 (2) 8 oz. Tribe Hummus BOGO - 1.50 Tribe Hummus 1.79 OOP McDonalds (in the same shopping center as Nob Hill) Picked up another FREE Berry Cherry Chiller So to recap, I "bought" $85.15 worth of product today (sale price value). I used $9 in CRTs, $12 in EBs, $54.25 in MCs, paid $9.90 in OOP and got $10 in EBs back. Can't beat that with a stick. And now I again have a decent shampoo stockpile again.

Oh, and I searched and searched my CVS for the tearpads for the Loreal and the Revlon and, as I suspected, nada. But considering how well everything went today, I'm not THAT bummed.

Thanks, DM & leanna. We have CVS, Wags, WM, Target...and that's about it. DH goes through SO MUCH bodywash its insane. I think the CVS deal for Irish Spring is on the bars too, right? Maybe those would last longer. He refuses to use a body sponge, so he just uses several handfuls of the liquid for each shower (and he showers 2-3 times per day!!).

Ok I have finally finished out my week of deal stalking, so this is what I did:
CVS: This was done over 4 trips to the CVS by my work/the one by the grocery store. 12 Schick disposable razor packs (3-4 ct., got a mixture) @ $7.99 4 Skintimate shave creams @ $2.29 = $100.46 - 6 BOGO Schick Qs (varied in the amount taken off, totaled $54.86) - 4 $.55 Skintimate Qs OOP $47.98, got back $50 EBs (should've been $40, but I had to get one force printed when a cashier voided an item rather than scanning the BOGO Q, and the EB popped up the next time I bought something so I got an extra)
Meijer: Not the best week - I've had more trouble getting awesome deals here, but I usually have coupons to use, they're just not as amazing as the drugstore deals. 2 Birdseye Veggies @ 3/$4 1 Daisy cottage cheese @ $1.79 2 Oikos Greek Yogurt @ $1.25 = $6.96 - 2 $.50/1 Birdseye Qs (double) - 1 $.35/1 Daisy Q (doubles) -1 $.50/2 Oikos Q (doubles) = $3.26
Target: Thanks to the tutorial on BOGO Qs, I scampered on over to Target 3 Crest Optic White Cool Mild Mint @ $2.99 1 Swiffer Sweeper Starter @ $8.99 1 Swiffer Sweeper Refill @ $4.49 = $22.45 - $2 Swiffer Starter Q - $4.49 Swiffer Refill (free wyb Swiffer Starter) - 3 $1 Optic White Qs = $12.96, got back $5 GC for the toothpaste
Be careful if you go to do the Target tp deal - the other flavor of Optic White doesn't produce the GC. I am glad to be rid of those Schick Qs - they caused me 4 awkward exchanges with cashiers that I would love to never do again!

If you have the Reinventing Beauty mag, there is a $1/1 Q in there or you can use the $.50/1 from the 5/20 SS. If my DH went through body wash like that, I would seriously consider switching to bars. I'm pretty sure that 6 bars would last a lot longer than one bottle of body wash. If they are out, don't forget to get a rain check.

Hi all! We are back from our trip to San Diego and Disneyland. DS looked awesome in his cap and gown and we are now officially DONE with tuition & room&board payments! Yea for us! We worked so hard to be able to get the three kiddos through college without any student loan debt. Hounding definitely helped us tremendously so I can say that all of you had a hand in our ability to pay for their college! Thanks! Disneyland was great. We all had a wonderful time.

I'm looking at the Wags ads for the next few weeks on SlickDeals. Week of 6/3 - Softsoap bodywash BOGO at $4.49 Week of 6/10 - Gillette Body Wash $4.79 ea - Buy $30 or more of Gillette/Old Spice etc, get $10 RR Basically, nothing pops out at me as a freebie. You could take those products I listed and do some coupon match-ups. But I think your earlier thought of just going to the Dollar store might be a good one, given how much product your husband is going through. I don't have CVS here, so maybe someone will know of an upcoming deal with CVS. The last good bodywash deal I did was for Olay bodywash with a P&G rebate. I think that was a few months ago. Hopefully we'll get some men's bodywash deals sometime soon and you can go crazy and stock up!

Just a quick question re the Pantene deal: my insert says 2/$6.50 w/$1 EB limit 1. Are you all getting multiple EB's? I'm seeing $4 EB's if you purchase 8 of the Pantene Pro-V. I have 4 BOGOF q's, but only 2 of the $3/2. If I'm reading the posts correctly, I should still come out okay: 8 Pantene $26.00 -$13.00 (4 BOGOF q's) This could be minus $19.96 if the $4.99 comes off. That's usually what happens at my CVS -$6.00 (2 $3/2 q's) =$7.00 + tax or if it takes off the $4.99 each, it would be $1.04 + tax. I have $4 in EB's I can use so if it ends up being $3 + tax, that's still not bad for a good shampoo. If the $4.99 is deducted, then I'll use a $1 UP and pay .04 + tax. That would be much better!

I need to look at this pantene deal again. I use shampoo as bodywash too. But I think I will get the Irish Spring bars for DH (he just said that he would use them - yay!!). I need to get a bar holder for the shower, but that's ok. Maybe one of the suction cup ones that I can throw in the DW to clean.
