1.) you can not dispute those numbersOh...Here's the REST of the story from the SAME report.....you guys REALLY need to read stuff all the way through.... The national unemployment rate was 7.7 percent in February, down from 7.9 percent the prior month and down from 8.3 percent a year earlier. Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 236,000 over the month and by 1,966,000 over the year.
Hmmmm............looks to me like some improvement in employment......even with sequester in the mix at that point.........uh.....how do explain this? Sequestration has not even begun to be felt. .. Look Boeing stock up .... As the layoff of 800 in the US. Your profits reflect or do nothing for American workers. You bitch about buying Chinese shit. Better get used to it. Didn't Gm and Suzuki of American close two plants in Michigan this year. No matter profits up.

wonder why the BLS will no longer be reporting mass layoffs or the number of green jobs?
Thats right it sequestration. BS they know what's coming. Those numbers above say it all
There has been an increase in mass layoffs and claims compared to the same months last year.

I'm looking over my statements for the last few years. Looks like I'm winning to me........LOL!!!!!!1
Sequestration has not even begun to be felt. ..
And it won't be, because it's only a percentage of an increase, not a cut. You guys don't even know what the math of the sequestration is. American Suzuki shut down all auto production. It happens. Unfortunately, not all business plans pan out.

Didn't Gm and Suzuki of American close two plants in Michigan this yearOh...did you mean this plant? Read on ......... PARMA, Ohio - The Parma General Motors plant is expected to receive more employees, the city’s mayor, Tim DeGeeter, told NewsChannel5 on Thursday.
The Grand Blanc Weld Tool Center in Michigan will cease operations in July, sending more workers to northeast Ohio.
"The plant currently employs 323 hourly and 28 salaried employees," said GM spokesperson Tom Wickham.
Wickham said the more than 300 employees will receive "officers" ( looks like a typo. I believe that is supposed to read OFFERS) at GM's Flint tool and die plant, the Warren tech center in Michigan and GM's metal center in Parma.
"I like receiving these calls so this is very good news for us," DeGeeter said.
He said the city's plant manager not only called to share news of more employees to the plant, but also called to inform DeGeeter that GM would be investing $10 million in new equipment to the facility as well.
"That tells me the plant will remain strong, healthy and vibrant… A lot of that goes to the men and women that work there, working together with management and doing things right. That partnership is so important. The men and women who work there get that and we're so proud of that," DeGeeter said.
News of a plant closing is something DeGeeter said no mayor wants to hear, especially in Parma, where GM is still the city's number one employer.
"If something were to happen at that plant, it would be extremely difficult to provide the quality of life, services that we give to our residents,” DeGeeter said.
It is rumored most of the employees from the Michigan plant will be re-locating to Parma, although Wickham and other GM officials said it's too early to confirm.
DeGeeter said Parma's facility currently employees more than 1,400 workers

Again .......READ THE WHOLE THING........ if you want to debate, that's fine, but don't come to the table with an empty plate all of the time. At least try to make it interesting.

And as usual, you can't read. We were talking about the BLS report that you misquoted. But, since you mentioned it......
Wow...a whole 300..........jeez...the end is near!! Just curious. Aren't you the same guys that screamed bloody murder when GM got government ...read..taxpayer investment that ended up saving a million jobs? Aren't you the same guys that are insisting that the government never got their money back? Aren't you the same guys that said that GM should have been allowed to go broke? Now you want to cry about the 300 jobs? You guys can't seem to make up your minds. Seems to me that you won't be happy unless you see misery at every turn. If it doesn't exist, then you'll damn well create it because misery loves company. Go....be miserable. Let us know how it works out. As far as the BLS is concerned, I think we've shown that you can't read reports now haven't we?
Just curious, since we all know that you're not an English teacher, what is it that you do/used to do?

Seems like a duel where both participants have delivered fatal wounds to each other, but are waiting for the other to die first so they can proclaim themselves "THE WINNER".
Ain't gonna be no winner in the game being played out. We're all just expendable pawns.

"University of Texas took delivery of one billion dollars in physical gold.
If you do not hold the physical in your possession you do not own gold.
Very difficult to find gold or silver in area coin shops."
This appears to be not quite true...: Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) and freshman state Rep. Giovanni Capriglione have a plan to create a “Fort Knox of Texas” so that the state can start hoarding gold.
Giovanni has filed a bill to establish a Texas Bullion Depository to store the $1 billion worth of gold bars that are owned by University of Texas Investment Management Co. (UTIMCO), which are currently being housed by the U.S. Federal Reserve.
Speaking to conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Tuesday, Perry said that lawmakers were in the process of “bringing gold that belongs to the state of Texas back into the state.” Beck has been a longtime paid spokesperson for the precious metal seller Goldline, which agreed to refund up to $4.5 million to former customers last year after being sued for marking up gold more than 50 percent.
“If we own it, I will suggest to you that that’s not someone else’s determination whether we can take possession of it back or not,” Perry told Beck.
Former Rep. Ron Paul on Thursday explained to The Texas Tribune that the gold would be safer in the hands of Texans.
“If you think gold is a hedge, or a protection, you always want it as close to the individual and the entity as possible,” Paul said. “Texas is better served if it knows exactly where the gold is rather than depending on the security of the Federal Reserve.”
For his part, Capriglione said that he had gotten the idea while attending a tea party rally with Perry in Tarrant County earlier this year. www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/03/22/texas-takes-step-toward-secession-with-rick-perrys-plan-to-hoard-gold/It seems that this hasn't actually happened yet, and there are still people that actually believe that Texas will actually secede...I think not. Even Perry admits that anything he has said about that is a joke. Quite a bit of grandstanding though. By the way, a quick check shows that these guys seem to have plenty of gold and silver coins according to their web sites, that shows current inventory.. texasgoldandsilver.com/page10.phpwww.bulliondirect.com/

Yeah, Cyprus is the beginning of the end......the bailout consisted of a whole 13 billion dollars. That's what China creates every week. Chump change in the cushions of Mao's old sofa. We "lose" that much in tollway change every year in the U.S I'd bet.......

China is trying to move away from the corrupt banking practices of the IMF and the World bank.
With BRICS accounting for 25% of global GDP while having 40% of the population they are working to establish their own world bank. That is going to bring some real change. Mao could afford a new couch.

Thats some improvement in employment.
In the week ending March 23, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 357,000, an increase of 16,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 341,000. The 4-week moving average was 343,000, an increase of 2,250 from the previous week's revised average of 340,750. www.dol.gov/opa/media/press/eta/ui/current.htm
revised up as always.
Found some interesting information on all those green jobs you talk about .. They Will be harder to track since the BLS is laying off the department that keeps track of all those green jobs. Something to due with sequestration.

Found some interesting information on all those green jobs you talk about .. They Will be harder to track since the BLS is laying off the department that keeps track of all those green jobs. Something to due with sequestration. I never talk about "green" jobs. One interesting thing about sequestration though, the Pentagon has reduced the number of unpaid furlough days that they give civilian employees to 14 from 22. So.....they are actually giving these people LESS days off without pay? Doesn't sound bad to me..... Below is data from the report that you cite. Looks like a reduction in all categories to me. I don't see anything in the report pertaining to Green Jobs or any department overseeing green jobs or anything pertaining to laying off any department at all. It's possible that I've missed it, so if you could provide the quote and the location in the report that supports your claim, we would appreciate it. Wow...That's a lot more states citing fewer layoffs than more layoffs.....
Not seeing a whole lot of sequestration damage here. In fact, even the President doesn't talk about it anymore. He's back on gun control now so that we'll just forget that he said that sequestration would be catastrophic.........
