"Speaking of which, where the hell did Lifewasgood go? Did he decide to take the "go home" option in "cut bait or go home"?"
I guess he decided he was tired of getting his ass kicked. Another guy with a broken record....

Greece's problem is that the Greeks don't want to work. Greeks go to college, then have mandatory military service, followed by maybe 24 working years and retirement at 50 and hopefully live past 80. And have free medical...Oh...and they really don't like to pay taxes. Evasion is rabid. I guess once they get used to working past age 60 and pay their taxes, things will improve....

Between washed up sea lions, toxic belching and meteors on the way, the D&G Index is forecasting a big 2013 for the markets.

No doubt. I guess though, on one hand we will say we are capitalists/conservative yet when we talk all that will come out it anti business propaganda.

I can not remember which one of you two it was that made the statement implying that the US had no intention of ever paying our debt to the Chinese?

It was me. Who cares if we pay them or not? What are they gonna do? Sell their defective infant cribs, poison dog food and the rest of the shit you buy at WalMart to Greece? We're their biggest customer, and they steal from us every chance they get. At some point, we're gonna even that nonsense out.

It would seem through your own conclusion that the US is no different than Greece. Just on a much larger scale.

The US is different than Greece. Here probably 20% never work, they are born into welfare, stay on welfare and get free medical care.
Many just have more children to increase their check.

As I " trolled " through the BLS news release for mass layoffs March 22. I could not help but notice a trend. Comparing the first two months of 2012 to 2013 the number of events increased with the number of individual claimants. All three tables , private nonfarm and manufacturing show an increase In claims. "With this recovery in full bloom . " Maybe one of you could help me explain what I am missing? If things are getting slowly better here why are the number of events on the rise along with the number of claimants? www.bls.gov/news.release/mmls.htm

With this recovery in full bloom .
You guys need to do two things:
1. Quote us accurately. Nobody out here said anything about an economy in "full bloom". 2. We cite examples of improvement in the economy such as housing and continued profitability in addition to factory operations. The three items you cite vary by season, weather and political climate. What you leave out is the huge increase in energy jobs.
Lets look at the aggregate over several months in regards to hiring and claims. Why are existing housing sales rising? Why are auto sales rising? Again, nobody here has suggested an economy in "full bloom". Improvement? Yes. Lets get it right.
*That's enough of that, frankq. The last two sentences were completely unnecessary. - mmhmm, Administrator*

Nobody is disputing those numbers. Learn to read. I really don't care what your view of the economy is. As investors, we're playing the game with the rules we have to deal with. If you guys can't handle it, pack your bug-out bags and head for the cave. We'll send up flares when it's safe for you guys to come out.....
*Sentence removed as it refers to a post that has been removed.* Yeah....they must call you Mr. Big Balls in your neighborhood eh? What are you...like in high school?

1.) you can not dispute those numbers
Oh...Here's the REST of the story from the SAME report.....you guys REALLY need to read stuff all the way through....
The national unemployment rate was 7.7 percent in February, down from 7.9 percent the prior month and down from 8.3 percent a year earlier. Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 236,000 over the month and by 1,966,000 over the year.
Hmmmm............looks to me like some improvement in employment......even with sequester in the mix at that point.........uh.....how do explain this?
