Doubtful sun, there has to be consumers to keep profits growing. We might be designing, building, and implementing robots here because immigration is soon to be a thing of the past. However, look at the mess that China and the emerging markets are in. It's going to take a lot of cash very quickly(next 10 years) to keep the corporate structure going, and I have no doubt the elite know this.

Well sun George was wrong about tapering, which I will remind you that I have been basically the only one saying this will happen.  He makes some valid points, but what is happening is a re balancing of the global economy.  You can keep listening to people that are wrong if you want, I have a good piece wrote up about robots I will post later on Investing Perspectives.

Not sure where you're going with the scripture reference.  Care to elaborate with some of your thoughts?

BTW, I forgot to mention the great call you made a couple years back about the bottlenecks in the NG market that we are working our way through now.

I read George's posts for intellectual workouts, as some of the posts provide opportunities for deep though and critical thinking. I don't subscribe to any of the economic content for my investing. I actually leave that to my financial manager. Anyway, as for the scripture reference ....

I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:23-26

The saying was a response to a young rich man who had asked Jesus what he needed to do in order to inherit eternal life. Jesus replied that he should keep the commandments, to which the man stated he had done. Jesus responded, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Where I was headed with it is the uber rich (corporations) are not really wealthy. They can't buy what's really important with all the money in the world. They may believe they're creating a world where only they will live an eternal life of leisure and luxury. It will be built on the backs of the billions and the resources of the world. They believe they're above and apart from other living beings. Ultimately, they'll find they're sadly mistaken. The path the human race is on is unsustainable.


This is just my opinion mind you.

This is just my opinion mind you. 

I understand what your saying about George's posts, nothing wrong with free thinking sun.

I also agree that there is most likely a portion of uber wealthy people that believe they are better than everyone, however, I don't believe that they are trying to create a world that only they will flourish in. Aside from internet doom and gloom/conspiracy talk there is no substantial evidence to suggest a plan of world enslavement. I can point to the giving pledge as an example of the wealthiest people in the world giving away tons of their wealth, just as the scripture you quoted suggest that they should. Peak oil has been thrown out the window, there has been tons of advancement in fields like kinetic energy, and 3d printing is going to change the resource game forever.

Keep the faith my friend. The meek shall inherit the Earth, and it's being done through socioeconomic cycles that go back a couple thousand years.

Nothing like the altitude in the mountains. The Mrs and I were in Kananaskis about 8 years ago in May. It was sunny and warm, by nightfall the clouds had come over the mountain and by morning there was like 2 ft of snow. It was awesome!

Yes it was. I had a great time with my son. Next year we go east and base somewhere on the coast and spend a little more time in each place. We hunt the big northerns and walleyes in a few weeks in Canada.

We're going to the Woman River area. New for us. We usually base at Eagle and take excursions to some remotes. How about the D,G and C right! I'm telling you, we may be on to something...LOL!!!
