In all fairness, Damn is correct. Fukushima is a horrendous man-made disaster initiated by a natural catastrophe. The effects will be felt for many millennia. However, until Japan decides that saving its very existence and all its people is more important than saving face, no real mitigation will occur. There's absolutely nothing I or you as an individual can do about what happened and what continues to happen other than buy potassium iodide tablets (only works for people less than 40 on radioactive iodine nuclides), get N-95 masks, etc. Earth narrowly missed getting nuked last week by a solar storm strong enough to have sent us all back to the dark ages. Same thing could happen should one of our "friends" decide to touch of an EMP event. Hell, there's a super volcano just to the north of us that should it go off, you can kiss the United States of America good bye along with all the people in it. Your decision .... live in fear (real or imagined) or just live? Me, I live for each and every minute of each day ... a day at a time. |

Hahaha, yeah Q, those killer bees were coming in the mid 90's... I forgot about that.. It's kinda like how over half the food we produce goes to waste, but we are going to run out of it because of over population... Balance is all it will take to solve so many issues..
