I was referring to the biological half life. In the body, iodine has a biological half-life of about 100 days for the body as a whole. It has different biological half-lives for various organs: thyroid - 100 days, bone - 14 days, and kidney, spleen, and reproductive organs - 7 days.
Frank I thought you said you read everything? Just trying to educate you on the dangers of what they report and how little you know. www.ctbto.org/
Wonder what happen to the reports that seem to be missing march to June .

Damn, I'm just going to keep posting this until you stop deflecting and answer the question. Have a nice day. I hope you're not holding any gold. We don't need another poster going off the deep end.........
What about my question regarding all that nuclear testing? Come on now....you're the scientist.. Why is Fuki supposedly causing more contamination and deaths than all the nuclear weapons ever detonated above ground over a 30 year span outside of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Just looking for the answer here...

Rape,Pilfer,Ponzi at it's glory.,but FALSE glory.
Ponzi........What's Henry Winkler got to do with this?...............The stocks I sold today didn't pay me with FALSE money.....
GOLD & SILVER Going Higher! WAY Higher!
Well, you've been saying this for a long time..........if gold keeps up the way it has, up might be the only move it CAN make......you might be right....some day. Sad thing is it would need an epic 30%move just to get to it's 2011 high........
But look at it this way, you guys maintain that the FIAT dollar, the Debt Note, the Buck, is a worthless piece of paper......so why does it bother you that gold has dropped to below $1500? If dollars have no value, why worry about how many of them (oh, and it's getting to be much fewer since the plunge) equal an oz.of gold?

THIS JUST IN ... Toot!Toot! has been "rescued"! A rogue band of string puppets and their monkeys, who had been enticed to defect from The Brotherhood of String Puppets, staged a daring night raid on the underground compound where Toot!Toot! was reportedly being held. The raid apparently was successful, according to unnamed sources close to the story.
Evidently, Alex Jones was able to entice the group with the promise of "Bitcoins going higher! Way higher!" The leader of the rescue group was skeptical at first because bit coins are nothing but 0's and 1's in a computer somewhere (as is most of the "wealth" of the world). Seems they were swayed by Alex stating the value of one bit coin had already risen from ~90 FDN/bitcoin to almost 200 FDN/bitcoin and could only go higher, maybe to 1000 FDN/bitcoin!
After the successful rescue of Toot!Toot! and transfer of the 1.98 bit coin reward, the string puppet's found their valued reward rather than going up, had instead been washed away by an Elliott third leg down wave to 45 FDN/bitcoin. In other words, the bitcoin bubble had popped. The future value of their reward was going towards being worthless rather than to the sky as promised.
Outraged, the group went after a hysterically laughing Mr. Jones, who was last seen headed to his redoubt taking little Toot!Toot! with him. Unfortunately, the string puppets were too far behind, thus were unable to extract their revenge. Having defected from their highly compensated jobs with the promise of untold riches based on bit coin value, they now face a very uncertain future.

Another "coincidental" market "incident" sick absolutely sick
Who was crushing Gold ahead of the explosions? Anyone? I didn't think so.
So what are you saying? The bombing at the marathon was instigated by traders and gold haters? More conspiracy? We haven't seen that for a while.....Or are you saying that gold plunged because of the bombings and ensuing panic? Wrong on both counts.

Lol, DOOM I tell ya DOOM ! Aham, " Actually this would only be true if we were still on the gold standard. Since the amount of dollars printed has nothing to do with how much gold there is, it's just like gdgyva said; gold is commodity just like oil or crops. The producers make money at $900-$1100 an oz and that is where we are most likely headed in the gold market. It could trade there for years just like it did from like 1985-2003... Think about how many dollars were printed between 1985 and 2000 and look at the gold charts for those years. The people who got in under $1000 will be happy because they will have made money, the ones that got in over $1000 are going to be mad because they got burned, exactly like the housing bubble that just happened. Honestly it's funny that this conversation is on here now, we have been talking about it for a few years now on market talk.
Coincidentally this is why the USA has a 95% chance of never crumbling, it's built on the pyramid coming half way down and then rebuilding. Why? The economy is built on consumers and we don't need exponential growth at this point to keep growing as the brains in the pyramid vid are claiming. Slow and steady economics with a balanced budget will produce all the results that we will need to make it long term. There is energy all around us. "
A good laugh is always a great way to start the day.

The only people getting crushed these days are the paper holders. Then europe. If you had physical before the end of 2003 . Your still up huge.
It's nice to know that people have profited to some extent on an investment they made 10 years ago. The people that have been purchasing gold over the last two years also got crushed. The fact is, gold traders are selling into strength today. The fact that there is no rebound to yesterday's incredible plunge speaks to the very real possibility that the bottom in gold has not arrived and may not for quite a while. The other interesting issue is the fact that gold is acting inversely to world events now. It wasn't too long ago that any time a terrorist farted gold would run upward. Not happening over the last three significant world events, namely, Cyprus, which was a tailor made event that should have made gold jump 100 points.....it didn't, the North Korean situation, another event that should have been big for gold, and Boston, a terrorist event. Looks like gold has blown it's wad......

So, are you saying that gold will end up at $1000? Are you also saying that speculation has played no part in the price of gold over the last several years?
Wonder who did all that over night buying?[/b]
Wonder why gold was up $35 and is now struggling to stay in the green at the close? Looks like lots of selling into any interest right now.....

What wasn't clear about it? I guess since you think I was talking about corn at $900 I should really expect much though... There was nothing all over about it at all, it's called making a point, I know that you guys have a hard time doing that. Gold is a bubble (ponzi) just like housing was before it crashed. Some are still happy with their house because they got in before the bubble inflated, just like some will be happy about their gold long term. I went on to make the point that this is also a good representation of the US economy overall, how it can fall and rebuild because there is always someone at the bottom(first in) that is making money. The people at the top of the pyramid don't make shit our way of doing things, and that's why the brains in the pyramid video are so far off base it's funny. In their case, past performance is not indicative of future returns.

The bold part was a post I made on PM Q, he brought it over here but didn't put it in quotes just surrounded with quotation marks. I think when the dust settles it will be the producer price that will dictate the market. They are making money at $800-$1100, and yes I think there has been rampant speculation in the gold market..

As usual your patience is as lacking as is your ability to process information. Lets give it thirty years. In the mean time , study the health effects from from Chernobyl , Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Most died or showed severe health issues years later.

And as usual you demonstrate an exceptional ability not to research anything you attempt to discuss. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are the most researched nuclear events in history. Just so you know, World War II ended in 1944. There has been almost 70 years of research regarding the event through 3 generations now. Chernobyl was 27 years ago. Plenty of time to accumulate data. Again, when you cannot answer a simple, logical question, you deflect. Any time you are asked to explain how situations differ from your assertions, you answer is "give it some time". The only person here that can't seem to process information is you. I posed a simple question to you. I've shown you sources explaining how and why I-131 is found in Philadelphia other than from Fuki. You have no rational responses as usual. Nobody is claiming that Fuki is not an issue, but worldwide contamination threatening the lives of our children is a stretch even for you guys. If you can't show quantitative data from sources other than "greenmons.com" I suggest to limit your comments to your "MySpace" page. Thanks.

The data stops in September 2011 . 2 years of release Information missing . Since huge amounts were washed out to sea. The effects will show up soon enough.

" The main radiation risk would be from the food: eating locally grown produce, such as fruit, could add significant radioactivity to the body."
In 1968, the United States declared Bikini habitable and started bringing a small group of Bikinians back to their homes in the early 1970s as a test. However, in 1978, after a French team of scientists did additional tests on the island, the islanders were removed again when strontium-90 in their bodies had been shown to have reached dangerous levels .[9] It was not uncommon for women to experience faulty pregnancies, miscarriages, stillbirths, and damage to their offspring as a result of the nuclear testing on Bikini.[10][11] The United States provided $150 million as a settlement for damage caused by the nuclear testing program.[12] source: yours again
Now I know we discussed the food pyramid . Where you mentioned xenon was good for you .
Lets discuss the food web? DNA and birth defects.

Dude.....For thirty years, numerous countries blew up large scale nuclear weapons on islands, on ships, underwater.......by the hundreds....Do you really think that "huge" amounts of radiation never touched the water before? And what "huge" amounts are you speaking of pertaining to Fuki? Can you quantify that statement? Can you explain why decades of nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands and elsewhere has not produced effects such as those you say will show up, like everything else we discuss with you around here, "soon enough"?

Now I know we discussed the food pyramid .
Lets discuss the food web? And again, you have no comprehension. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT TESTING OR RADIATION BEING HARMLESS. Of COURSE RADIATION/CONTAMINATION IS A BAD THING. I AM CHALLENGING YOUR ASSERTION THAT FUKI IS A NUCLEAR DISASTER WITH CONSEQUENSES FARTHER REACHING THAN ANYTHING WE'VE SEEN. I have simply asked how Fuki could contaminate, by your estimate as well as your sources, which we've shown are questionable, half the earth, when we haven't seen that with all of the above ground testing of nuclear weapons, which are far more potent, over a 30 year timeframe. I have asked repeatedly, how Fuki could do more damage in a shorter timeframe and all the way to (supposedly) Philly, than lighting off nukes in the middle of the ocean. If you can't stay with the subject it's really going to be hard to have a conversation. Yep.....we're back to the "Direct Questions are your Kryptonite" thing again. Just like old times......I'm sure you'll actually answer a question "soon enough"......

In nothing you posted has there ever been 600,000 exposed fuel rods at risk of burning off into the environment.
Bombs , atolls or Chernobyl will pale to Fukushima. Chernobyl radiation is still showing up around the world. It will not be our problem frank. That is the difference between me and you.
