Spinning what? All I'm asking you guys is to provide the source information for your statements of one million jobs lost due to sequestration. That's all. We'd love to know so that we might adjust our portfolios accordingly. After all, this is an investing discussion site right?

My statement was only this ... That mass layoffs were up Jan and Feb of 2013 compared to the same months in 2012 . That did not correlate with much improvement with the overall employment picture you boys seem to insist is getting better. Nation wide not by state.

No.....your statement was that one million jobs would be lost to sequestration. You keep telling me to be patient, and you give me the kind of stuff like you posted above about mass layoffs. What I see in the same report is the statement above, that is self explainitory. I don't know how lower unemployment and increase non-farm payroll year over year means a worse employment picture than last year. Notice that the paragraph starts with the words "The National" . I don't know how you get a massive job loss from that paragraph, which basically sums up the report. The fact that non-farm payroll is up that much is actually a better sign. Whatever... Thanks for playing......

I haven't? I've "referenced" everything you've cited. I don't have to hope it works. The fact is, sequestration is NOT a cut, it is a reduction in the increases previously agreed to. You guys need to read up on sequestration and stop buying into the hype. I thought all you prepper types didn't believe in the media...On the other hand, the sources you cite seem to have all the "evidence" I need to dispute your statements. With sequestration just underway your number will be showing up in a few months. Like I said 
before it takes 90 days from the time a warn notice goes into effect before the actual layoff 
occurs. Since the cuts just started it will take some time. Your million is coming.

Again..it's a 2% reduction in the INCREASE to current spending. The sequestration is a cut in the increase, not a cut in the budget. Look it up. Believe what you want. I really don't care. Read the disclaimers in the report you cited.

Here's a paragraph from Linda Levine's report dated January 7, 2013, after her report on sequestration:

In its August 2012 economic forecast, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that the

annual average growth rate of real GDP will gradually approach the growth rate of potential

output over the 2012-2022 projection period. As a result of this slow narrowing of the output gap,

the unemployment rate is forecast to 5.9% by 2017.

Doesn't sound too bad to me.

Actually, much, if not most of the cut will be in the form of smaller, if any, raises and cuts to overtime as was done for security people dealing with tourists at the White House. The CBO states a "worse case scenario" of 300,000, but is quick to say that they don't expect that. While there may be some temporary losses, your one million is not going to happen. Obama will tell you differently, but he's obviously committed to scaring the hell out of whoever he can after his "dire" consequenses threat. In fact, trying to scare people has been his stock in trade in the second term.  If you guys really worry about the printing of money and inflation, you'd best hope that they cut some more......

And the debt/gdp party going on,oh my!

And what are they going to do? Quell the greater vs less factor by that point and time,as there is such a thing as rising population and with that growing classes in age from each.

Reports are they plan on breaking the mirrors with gold and silver coins, blowing the smoke away and stopping the spinning wheels spinning revealing who (or what) is really behind the curtain (or door number 2).

Reports are also coming in about the Illuminati, the Bilderberg group, the Rothhilds, Trifecta, Russian mafia, unnamed aliens and the Boy Scouts coming together in a coalition to thwart the black ops attack. 

Evidently Corporal Ben and Lt. Timmy have been given control of the coalition forces. The forces of economic evil have the Sock Puppet United, Inc black ops team in 'The CASINO" surrounded. Things are not looking good for the forces of good. Word has reached us there appears to be huge flocks of sheep now up close to the walls. Some are saying they may be wolves in disguise waiting for the orders "to sacrifice themselves and go over the walls".

Meanwhile it appears the Commander Ben and little Timmy have rounded up hoards of sheeple and placed them between the wolves and the arrayed evil army to act as human shields should the black ops team get really pissed at the shenanigans and up the ante. How and when this will end is anybody's guess at this point.

Some (not many) are wondering the fate of Toot!Toot! Although guaranteed safety by the black ops team, nothing has been heard concerning Toot!TooT!'s whereabouts or status since the start of the hostilities.
