I have seen many point out the the Obama Administration has pursued middle of the road policies, but that Obama is a conservative, not so many. And I have seen many here complain the President has followed Bush's policies, and no one has ever claimed he was middle of the road...... Fair enough

... Many liberals here claim Obama is a conservative, ... I have seen many point out the the Obama Administration has pursued middle of the road policies, but that Obama is a conservative, not so many. he's not a conservative by American standards. but he is pretty damned conservative if you look at the rest of the world. there is NO WAY he could run as anything left of center anywhere other than here. PS: i recognize that we are talking about American politics, and that Obama is liberal by that standard. i just don't happen to think he is very liberal by any other standard.

American Liberals complain about quite a bit about Obama. indeed they do. and well they should. but they can console themselves with the following: the last true blue liberal to run was Mondale.

Many liberals here claim Obama is a conservative, but granted I do disagree with this. He is a Socialist. ---------------- Socialist? Too funny! Especially in light of the fact that many people say that Obama and Romney are interchangeable, which means Romney is a socialist. How I wish you people would get your talking points sorted out......

Republican Glory, of course. Americans Freedom Glory Glory? Freedom? You mean the the same freedom and glory loving republicans that brought us wonders such as the Patriot Act? Me thinks a would have been a better choice than for an emoticon there, nana.

Well it is official. The President has chosen to take the attack approach to Romney in the election process. His attack of Romney and Bain Capital is totally off base. They sank 10 million dollars into a failing steel mill that was being sold because it was failing. They could not turn it around. What the commercial does not say, is Bain capital also put money into another steel mill that is thriving, and has 6,000 employees. Not all turn arounds are successful. Just ask the President about investments in fly by night solar companies that he pushed for. We now see the election will be a series of attack ads, thereby diflecting away the economic failures of the President in his three plus years in office

"Well it is official. The President has chosen to take the attack approach to Romney in the election process..." I fail to see any substantive difference between Democrat Attack Dogs and Republican Attack Dogs. And we will see plenty of both in the next 6 months. From BOTH sides.

Just ask the President about investments in fly by night solar companies that he pushed for. ------------------ Oh, you mean Solyndra? It’s often claimed that the Solyndra loan guarantee was “rushed through” by the Obama Administration for political reasons. In fact, the Solyndra loan guarantee was a multi-year process that the Bush Administration launched in 2007. You’d never know from the media coverage that: 1. The Bush team tried to conditionally approve the Solyndra loan just before President Obama took office. 2.The company’s backers included private investors who had diverse political interests. 3.The loan comprises just 1.3% of DOE’s overall loan portfolio. To date, Solyndra is the only loan that’s known to be troubled. Because one of the Solyndra investors, Argonaut Venture Capital, is funded by George Kaiser — a man who donated money to the Obama campaign — the loan guarantee has been attacked as being political in nature. What critics don’t mention is that one of the earliest and largest investors, Madrone Capital Partners, is funded by the family that started Wal-Mart, the Waltons. The Waltons have donated millions of dollars to Republican candidates over the years. With a stagnant job market and Obama sinking in the polls, the media has decided on a narrative that matches right-wing talking points but not the facts. thinkprogress.org/climate/2011/09/13/317594/timeline-bush-administration-solyndra-loan-guarantee/

This poll has a really small number of voters, so I guess we have to take the results with a grain of salt. What does come out, is people feel the economy is the problem, whereas a couple of months ago everyone felt Romney would not be able to use that agument, as everyone thought the economy was improving.

something interesting has been happening in head to head polling. Romney and Obama voters have gone from about 93% of those surveyed to about 89%. in other words, the number of undecided voters (or those voting for third parties) has increased over 50% in the last month or two. the net result is that BOTH Obama AND Romney are within 1% of their WORST POLLING NUMBERS IN NINE MONTHS.
this is not something that Romney voters should be excited about. but neither should Obama voters.

I believe the President's biggest problem right now is the economy. Everyone thought we were turning around, and all of a sudden it seems we are slipping a little. It is not a matter of actual growth any longer. Perception is we are slipping again. Even I will admit, he has been "Presidential enough" in his first term, but if the economy and the deficit do not turn around, America will vote with the pocketbook.

Bush had it, too. it is not impossible to overcome, but it is somewhat difficult.

Friday's jobs report showed a vastly disapointing number of jobs created, and unemployment ticked upward. Oh, and the stock market is now negative on the year. Also noticed some of the socalled Obama worshippers in the national television media, are now talking about some deficiencies in the President's handling of the economy. Wowser, never saw that one coming. The blinders are coming off. Five months and a week to go before regime change! It's coming.
