Too many skins! Please tell us what you use.

I recall that the VSilver originally had the same 'gradient' background pattern as the Tan Cream Gradient - it changed to the current background design on that skin some time later.

(I like using the VUncia on occasion just to switch things up and have a change of pace).

I just checked out Ivy, and it's pretty nice! I do need to ask though - what are the "basic" colors? because I'm used to seeing screen names in certain colors, others in something different, and there's something funky going on with the account colors overall. moon? can you help here?

i'm not sure how to answer that chiver. the skin colors don't affect the colors people chose for their user names. they may look a bit different depending on the skin though.

the font colors associated with skins only affect the links, and that of normal posts (ones that haven't been formatted with special colors).

ahh...I think I figured it out - your screen name was throwing me a little. you've got a flash color, but your base color is the same as the base for the "default" skin. this Ivy one has a black base color, which was only used in the default skin for users that had deleted their accounts. that may take some getting used to.....but I'll figure it out. I like this Ivy skin. ;D

I like the Ivy skin too! I had been using Pink Roses, then Lily, now I'm using Ivy. I really like the Ivy one. I did enjoy the gifts one during Christmas. ;D

I've been using PinkRoses for a few months (again, because of the white/gray background on text), but I like the VSilver and Vunca for the spash of color that's in the top banner (VSilver) and the graphics (VUncia)

Mskitty, everyone has skins. Go to "Modify Profile" and down to where it says "skins" and you have a list of choice. I love the Lilies one but everyone is different when it comes to what is pleasant on the eyes.

More than likely cause it's a new skin. Eggs wasn't listed either and that's the other new skin. I like the Lilies one as well.

femme, it's because i created eggs and lilies as seasonal (easter) skins. eggs will be deleted after.. lilies, maybe or maybe not.. it's pretty so i may just keep it.

I am partial to green and this the ivy skin is easier on my eyes than any of the other ones. In some cases the font colors clashed too much with the background.

cheesy, what about the Lilies? i have a preview of it on the first page, but didn't include it in the poll because i initially meant it to be a 'holiday' skin (for easter).. but i may keep it around though..


it's also muted, imo.

The lilies is a nice subtle (muted) color and easy on the eyes - not as "Green" as the Ivy though - I'd describe it more as a teal color than green.

It is actually not too bad. I'll use it for a bit, and probably go back to ivy! I agree, SL it isn't as green. It actually seems more bluish grey on one of my monitors.
