D.D.,  I know of several doing things like that.. They are in between and rock and hard place financially.  They are now in the real costly area and do not have a producing product, yet. This is like the group at ALSA where they are working with T-Cell system to attack cancer cells by creating an personal polypeptide extract of the cell. This is like shooting at bacteria in the cells. Both are about 10 years and 100 Millions USD away from a product they can sell. Most are dependent on people like JNJ that are now coming into the R&D at a later stage. Roche just bought the remaining shares of DNA so cash will be freed  from this for personal investors but with the Pharmaceutical Business Model broken it is hard to see where all the cash will be coming from. You need to have real products like DNA to make money to pay your own way into new products..  The last problem with Influenza Protection is 80% of the population is located where the system can not pay much for the protection. It has to be cheap and that will not cover the R&D cost per several Drug manufacturers I talked to about Salmonella Polypeptide injections. Just a thought, Bi Metal Au Pt

toys?? what kind of toys?? MOON did you get ME anything?? i loves me some toys.. I got some new toys for Super Iron.. A New secondary CUP Board with 8 more 4 core IA64s Got the MMXII run before 5PM with all the new data in it from the FED at 3:30pm.. that is less then 90 minutes with me doing the data entry.. Used to take the week end with a P3. Love my new toys.. The Alpha group LUX want me to go ahead and increase the scope of MMXII for future trading.. After they took my idea in march and rejected it.. Now it when Can I get it done.. Frank I need help!!! |

Ahhhh I remember those days of upgraded sound and video cards ... more and more memory. I used to live by the montra that "if a lot is good and more is better, than TOO MUCH must be juuuust enough!" ........ but they wouldn't stop producing bigger and better and badder ..... I had to draw the line someplace  My wife appreciates that I drew that line ;D You never really lose those skills though ... they're just a bit tarnished. A little "spit and polish" and they're good as new! |

I have a Unix work station with six cores and 24 gigs of memory and GTX 570 cards..CUDA Nice system for games.. You think my son thought of that when we went to Fry's. Yes it is a North Bridge from the Kingdom of Games!! The Sales man keep say .. We can save you money with the 4 core.. My son Looked at him and said.. Not if you want this sale.. OK I have a son who also like to max out the dream but no wife to say no..My late wife would say .. Make that two. For just a few hundred more you can get so much more.. My first S100 system cost over $15,000 and that was one cpu at six meg with MPM!! and 26 meg Hard drive... We used one user as a data-logger for the test of remote data collection.. Now ....  Nice systems you've got. I used to build my own rigs, big into gaming so I had to have the latest in vid cards and processor speeds. I overclocked like a bandit
