So Kman, any indication from Decoy what the root cause of the conflict is about and/or any inkling of a possible compromise?
It would seem to center around you and Frank.....This compromise can only happen with some sort of mutual respect....At least it's out there.

He doesn't seem to respond positively to much of anything I do to try and make him more aware of what is so irritating. Total denial and redirection each time. I'm not sure why I care. Maybe he reminds me too much of myself, thus my getting in his face about how he relates to others should be turned inward? Hmmmm ....... I agree that he doesn't respond well to criticism or opposing thoughts. However, you're not ranting on your own thread about the... whatever... and locked out of everywhere else...

As the title to that wonderful kids book says, Goodnight Moon.
As for me, I'm out of here too. I'm taking my own advice about the only way to win this game is not to play. Maybe that will calm things abit.
or maybe October .....

Good Evening Bruce,
Way off topic for me as my interest in vaccine research is personal and not in the work place.
I will share some of my experiences, interest in, and research with you in the next couple of days.
Are you familiar with Novavax?Enjoy ... what is left of the evening.DD Bruce,
This is not what I was looking for as an explanation, but it's close. The website is under re-construction and much of what I considered valuable information has been removed. Hopefully, it will be reinstated. Novavax, Inc. is developing a unique vaccine solution against the pandemic threat. The company has created a virus-like particle (VLP) H5N1 influenza vaccine that can be manufactured within 12 weeks of knowing the genetic sequence of a target influenza strain in cell culture without the use of live influenza viruses. The VLPs, spherical particles coated with the surface proteins of influenza, have the same structure as the influenza virus, but lack the genetic material required for viral replication. The H5N1 influenza VLPs contain hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) antigens arranged on the surface of the matrix (M1) protein. The surface antigens are presented in their native three-dimensional conformation which contributes to a robust and cross-protective immune response across H5N1 clades as observed in pre-clinical studies. Interim data from a phase I/IIa clinical trial of the H5N1 VLP influenza vaccine including 70 subjects showed that the vaccine was well tolerated and immunogenic in healthy adults. Two injections of 15 mcg and 45 mcg (based on HA content) were immunogenic. Sixty-three (63) percent of subjects who received the 45 mcg dose developed neutralizing antibody titers against the homologous H5N1 strain of >1:20 (4-fold rise in titer from baseline). These data indicate that the VLP vaccine is highly immunogenic without the addition of an adjuvant and support further development. The vaccine formulation has been further optimized and a dose-ranging study evaluating the safety and immunogenicity of three different doses as compared with placebo is underway.
Novavax is focused on creating novel recombinant vaccines produced via cell culture. The company has developed two proprietary technology platforms–Virus-Like Particles and Novasome® paucilamellar vesicles.
Virus-Like Particles Using its proprietary virus-like particle (VLP) technology, Novavax scientists build a structure similar to a virus except for the genetic material required for viral replication, without the use of an adjuvant. Once injected into the body, VLPs attach to cells and trigger an immune response sufficient enough to protect a person, if they are exposed to the virus.
VLPs may have a number of advantages over traditional vaccines. Because they more closely match an individual viral strain, VLPs can trigger a more robust immune response. In addition, live virus is not needed to produce a VLP vaccine. Rather, Novavax scientists need only the genetic sequence of a virus to quickly create a VLP vaccine against it. Because VLPs do not contain viral nucleic acids (DNA or RNA), they cannot replicate, and therefore present no threat of infection to a person being vaccinated.virus.stanford.edu/uda/I hold long, short, and trading shares of Novavax.www.novavax.com/

D.D., I know of several doing things like that.. They are in between and rock and hard place financially. They are now in the real costly area and do not have a producing product, yet. This is like the group at ALSA where they are working with T-Cell system to attack cancer cells by creating an personal polypeptide extract of the cell. This is like shooting at bacteria in the cells. Both are about 10 years and 100 Millions USD away from a product they can sell. Most are dependent on people like JNJ that are now coming into the R&D at a later stage. Roche just bought the remaining shares of DNA so cash will be freed from this for personal investors but with the Pharmaceutical Business Model broken it is hard to see where all the cash will be coming from. You need to have real products like DNA to make money to pay your own way into new products.. The last problem with Influenza Protection is 80% of the population is located where the system can not pay much for the protection. It has to be cheap and that will not cover the R&D cost per several Drug manufacturers I talked to about Salmonella Polypeptide injections. Just a thought, Bi Metal Au Pt
