nickyleey,
Welcome back. Congrats on your new daughter and sorry about your dad. It must be hard for you.
Nothing much going on with the drugstores. There was a glitch with the Schick shave gels, but it's probably been killed now.

Hey Hounds!! How has everyone been? I haven't visited you all since before Christmas. I see you've all been getting some great deals as always! I've been couponning when it comes to groceries and also getting the good deals at Target. I haven't been doing the drug store game because I've been too busy and the deals there just got to be too few and far between. I would like to get back into CVS or WAGs, if I can find the time. I had a baby in December, a sweet little girl. DH, DD (4), and I just love her to pieces. So that's why I've been so busy! Also, my father passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago. It breaks my heart that he never got to meet the baby. My mom is doing OK, just trying to get her finances in order. He had a good life insurance policy so I think she'll be OK but I'm also stockpiling things for her and helping her out with coupons when I can. Mom is only 60 so she has to make her money last for a long time. So that's what I've been up to. I hope everyone had a nice holiday and a great start to the New Year! Are there any deals at WAGs or CVS this week that are good for someone trying to get back in the game with no RRs/ECBs? nickyleey: Wow, your life has been busy. So so sorry to hear about your father. I lost my "hero" over three years ago and still miss him a lot. So now you have two little princesses. How wonderful. No wonder you've been busy. I agree with you that the drug store game is not what it used to be, but there are still some deals to be had. I do not shop at CVS every week any more. I am happy if I can roll here or there before what I have expires. Glad to have you back with us.

I didn't get mine today ( I guess because of the holiday) and I really wanna check the ads as I have to go to Smith's tonight to pick up a prescription so I wanna see if I should shop tonight or tomorrow

CVS: found boxed pampers for 75% off, $5.74-$1.50 mc is a great deal to me! I paired this with the clearanced l'oreal ( I found the coupons saveinla) fire a fun deal.

misspt, for the CVS Skintimate deal, and the L'Oreal, too. My CVS had the dry skin Skintimate @3.49 (on sale from 3.99) plus each had a $2 peelie, plus each gave $4 EB. And the L'Oreal - made $1.50 after coupons for the yellow bottle stuff. I really really like making $$ buying stuff I use.

My dad's been gone a long time now, but I know how tough that is. Wonderful news about the new little one though-- congrats for her! I have no input on the store deals unfortunately. I have ended up in the new RA test market, so I've dropped out of the deals there. There is no CVS in my area either, which is where most of the fun is lately. I'm mostly just a lurker here these days cause I don't have much to contribute. I'm sure someone will give you some good ideas though.

twins & more centsibleshopper & southwest savers both cover your area. I know centsible had the deals & matchups listed on Tue but she does have stores you do not & I know her natl chain (Safeway & Albertsons) prices do NOT match my metro Chicago prices.

Also, the Albertson's in AZ is no a corporate Albertson's, its Albertson's LLC so they have different prices then other states as well as they don't use the Albertson's card

Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers. Everything went well with the surgery but it was a very long day. Don't know if any of you have ever had a jaywire put into your breast, but that was the most uncomfortable part of it all. They did use lanicaine or some other kind of caine which totally numbed the area, but still. It's amazing how many people wander the halls of a hospital the number of people employed there. I will get the biopsy results back in a week so my fingers and toes are still crossed.
nickyleey: I am so sorry for your loss. I was pregnant with DD2 when my mom passed away. We were going to name her Molly (DH's fave name) but she ended up being Marian after my mom. She's just like her, too: same personality, same love of science (she's the med student), and other than hair color, looks just like her. I really felt like I was raising my mom. My daycare gal just loved her and called her "an angel baby". Maybe your new arrival will have some of your dear dad's personality, too!

Twinmama: Got the envie. Thanks so much. Isn't it weird that we live in the same state, not too, too far away from each other, and my papers did not have this rebate form.

I have rain checks from CVS so I would definitely use them. Could you please PM me the denomination and how many you have to make sure it's worth your stamp to send them? TIA ETA: I thought "babbling" about deals was our main purpose here. ;D

With the slowdown in the drug chain deals, this may be the way it is for a while. The drug chains used to ALWAYS keep me busy - so many deals every week; the grocery chains - not so much. That is why I always emphasized the drug chains in other "couponing" threads, because they have always been the couponers' bread and butter. As for me and the grocery chains, I've always felt lucky to get one or two good deals a month at Safeway and maybe one a quarter at Nob Hill. You just have to keep collecting your Qs and keep looking at the blogs until you "hit the mother-lode" (a great freebie) and then "swoop" on the deal (as DS would say ;D ). Hopefully things will pick up at the drug chains, but I'm thinking it may not happen until the economy turns around. That could be a while.

Sorry suzi. So I could get 12 cans with those coupons!! That would be AWESOME!! ETA: I see it now. I don't know how I missed it. Thanks again.

Frugal Suz: I have $4.00 towards $25.00 on the Advil monthly UP reward. Can I apply that to next week's Robitussin's deal you have laid out on your blog? Also, there's a $1.50 Q from the Diabetic coupon book. Would I be able to use that with the MQ and in-ad Q?

Robitussin is part of the monthly advil deal and your 4$ should carry over. If the 1.50 Q is a RC48... Q you can use it with the in ad RC49.. & MQ.

Hi everyone!!! I know it has been ages since I have posted or been on the boards. My life has been crazy and I went from a part time job to a full time job. I am sad to say that while I am bringing in more money I am not saving as much as I haven't found/made time to coupon. I am slowly trying to pick things up again here and there. I have 2 wags close to me and 2 on the way back from work. A CVS JUST went in close to my work!! I am SOOOO happy to have a different store to add to the drugstore game! I already signed up for my card and I got some ECB already. I heard about the shaving cream deal and got about 6 cans Now to keep it going and figure it all out! What is the best site to explain the CVS game? i heart cvs? did anyone hear if the shaving cream is still going? How do rainchecks work with ECBs? how is everyone doing? It's been too long! I hope to be back in the loop more here, but I am realistic and I am not sure how often I will get on here. *waves* hope to talk soon!
