HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! On behalf of Suzi Q and all of the gals here, WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME to the Grocery Challenge from me - dancinmama!! ;D If you have never clipped a coupon, or even if you have been using coupons for years, we'd love to have you join us. We are a crazy, fun-loving, and very friendly group of gals just chatting with one another about how to save big money using coupons. We are willing to help anyone, at any level, in any way that we can. Don't think that you have to read through the pages and pages of posts to join in - most of it will be old, out-of-date information anyway. Just go to the last page of the thread and introduce yourself. Tell us what area of the country you're from and where you shop (grocery stores, national chain stores, Target, WalMart, etc.). We'd love to have you join us on a regular basis, so don't be shy - just jump right in, have some fun, and save a ton of money in the process!! NEWBIES/OLDIES: If you post a HOUND ALERT requesting coupons from others, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE also post which insert/where the coupon can be found (Example: 1/2 SS) so that we can find it easily without having to research it ourselves. ALSO, if you need the coupon for a specific deal, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE try to remember to post the deal with your HOUND ALERT so that someone who may have the coupon(s) can decide whether they want/need to do the deal before sending out any of their coupons. THANKS!! POSTING ABOUT A DEAL / HOT COUPON: Some people get overwhelmed by the number of posts and only have time to skim the posts for the information that they need the most. If you are posting a deal, please post something that makes it stand out like "CVS DEAL ALERT" or if you are posting to tell us that there is a new, hot coupon available, please post something like "$3/1 WHOLLY GUACAMOLE IP ALERT". We want to make this thread as fun, friendly, and helpful as possible. These suggestions will save EVERYONE a lot of time when they are trying to "catch up" and read through past posts. Now let's have some fun!!

Just got back from grocery shopping. I shopped 2 stores and what I normally spend around $260-$270 on.....I paid $188!!! That is huge for me. I stocked up on cleaning supplies, toilet paper....got 10lb of chicken (great for gumbo, stews..etc), stew meat...after school snacks when my kids bring all their friends here to eat. Milk, fresh produce.....lots of stuff! So proud of myself even though it isn't as awesome as the deals you all do! I made my menu around what was onsale and used coupons.

imanangel good job! the first time i did it i did about 50% savings as well I guess there is a really good deal on Maybelline Baby Lips for 2/12...Heres the scenario: ***DEAL IDEA*** Buy 5 Maybelline Baby Lips $3.99 Buy 5 Maybelline Baby Lips $2 (50% off) = $29.95 Use (10) $2/1 Maybelline Lip Product coming in the 02/05 RP Inserts = $9.95 + tax | Earn $10 Cash Card Final Price? Just pay tax! Would be great to add to the giftbaskets you guys like to do ;D she recommended getting in touch with CVS and having them pre-ordered so that you can actually get them + possibly ordering the Qs online

I could convert $10 in EBs to another $10 GC!! I was going to do the Pepsi deal this week, but I have a rain check that is better so I decided to wait and use the rain check. In the meantime I have EBs that I'd love to convert. But the chances of my getting 10 coupons are probably slim to none.

Ok ladies...I am in this month. Changing some things in my schedule to allow a little more time to devote to couponing and saving. I have been a follower on and off for over 3 years now. I believe I found ya'all on MSN when I was preggo with the twins who just turned 3 this month I am in New Mexico and shop at Albertsons, Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Smiths which is a Kroger store. I am not starting with a huge coupon stash so will just have to work on what I can. I want to thank all the ladies (and the guys) I have learned so much from over these 3 years.

twins welcome!!
Speaking of Albertsons, here on the Central Coast, they have boneless, skinless chicken breasts onsale for $1.79/lb, steaks for 50% off (so it would be about $4.99/lb for NY strips) oranges 2lbs for $1 and a bunch of buy 10, save $5 deals. I also got a coupon book from them in the mail ;D

Can someone tell me why someone would want to purchase 2000 clean and clear coupons? Is there a great deal somewhere I don't know about?? TIA Where did you see this? Somebody asked me on ebay. They saw my listing for the C&C coupons and I am just scratching my head as to what possible deal they could be working to justify 2000 $2 coupons for clean and clear??? I get that amount on the KY (been asked that question for those too) but C&C??? I was hoping maybe somebody on here knew of an upcoming deal....

TWINS: Welcome!! Kroger is having an awesome Mega event sale in most areas, let us know if you need any coupons to match the sale.
ANGEL: Good job on such good savings on your first trip.
Stock is going to be a major issue on the baby lips deal, unless you have multiple stores to access, but maybe they will get some in especially for the sale, you know they sometimes put up special displays for new/newer products like this....

Frugalsuz, cosmeceutical is a real word! I'm trying to remember what it is, it's like pharmaceutical cosmetics, like concealer that has sunscreen or something like that.

I wonder if it's good on travel size. Maybe it's a MM at Walmart and they can get overage???

Leanna and Constanz: What is the Rite Aid toilet paper comparable to? That's a good price and I was thinking of buying some.
Mawmaw: I got your envies out yesterday.
