The Brita Rebate.....given the company's wishy-washy attitude, should we trust them and still do the rebate? I'm concerned that they act like Renpure Organics and not honor the rebate cos we use ECBs to pay for it. What do you ladies think? Any opinions on this ladies? Thinking about doing the CVS Brita deal (got a raincheck). Thanks picghaw, I did the rebate the first time around, mailed it on 9/10/11, and didn't get my check 'til two weeks ago. This time I have heard there is a lot MORE drama getting the rebate. I would tread carefully, and perhaps even contact Brita directly to make sure they will honor them. Good luck!

This deal wouldn't be worth the mileage (at least not for me), but VV is Video Values, which are commercials you watch on the RA website to earn coupons. The deal at RA is IF you watch the VV TODAY is this: 3 Pronutrients Omega 3 50 ct 9.99 buy $25, get $10 UP use 3 VV coupons for $4 off Pronutrients (you need 3 diff accts for VV) use 3 $5 MC $2.97 + tax OOP get $10 UP, this deal is courtesy of Slick Deals...

Thanks ladies, I just don't do the RA thing too much and I don't want to waste the UPs but then again, $10 ups is pretty good...Sooo the Commissary is $6.99 for the Omega 3s and I use these cause I weight lift..and i have several $5 coupons that expire next month...so they would be $2ish..I mean that is a good price but I like free/close to free better ;D

Thankfully, the Brita's and Renpure's are the exceptions to the rebate world. Unfortunately, b/c they piss off so many couponers we tend to hear more about them than the one's that do come through on a regular basis. Of the 10 rebates I submitted in December ALONE, I am only waiting on Brita. I submitted my rebate before all the brouhaha, so hopefully it will come through anyway. If it's a product you already want and are willing to buy, it could definitely be worth the stamp. JMHO

Pubbler: I wish I had read your post before I left to go to Kroger. I did the mega deal there and didn't know anything about blinkies. We aren't stocked up on cheese items like the past but I did have a good week cherry picking. I got over $200.00 worth of groceries for $60.00 shopping Meijer, Kroger, Walmart, Rite Aid and CVS. It'a a lot more challenging today to get the good deals and I'm trying to concentrate on food items we use the most. Next week will be Ortega items at Meijers. Saveinla: Thanks for your Kroger scenario yesterday. I got the $1.00 catalina for Kleenex. Lena: Great job!

OMG just popped up to Publix and even Hubby was impressed with what we came home with and the price. Still have not got a stock pile of coupons, so still working with the BOGO's but getting what I know for a fact is cheaper than Walmart and things we normally buy. That is still giving us a stockpile, still working on the toiletries. Going back and forth between CVS and Walgreens and I think Walgreens is winning so far. I am checking out the flyers online plus Walgreens is just down the street and a CVS is def. out of the way. But I am waiting for an extra 50 bucks to have on hand. You are the best, not sure hubby at the moment is ready to get around to different places for the deals and I have no wheels but he IS getting on board and I can't believe it has taken me this long to realize how much a person can save......WOOOHOOO I'm excited, not getting as awesome deals as you all but getting there.

A helpful hint about the rebate - just buy the Omega's when you buy your regular groceries. Should have a nice long receipt, and in my opinion, companies are less likely to deny based on coupons in that case. Wish you were closer by...I've got a lovely stock of Omega 3's I would gladly give you!

I agree with leanna. If WAGs is really convenient, then put your focus there first. Then when your car is up and running again, you can branch out to CVS IF it isn't too far away. I would definitely take the cost of gas into consideration.

UGH I am NOT happy. I just went to CVS and had the manager confiscate my rainchecks. He refused to give it back. I told him that I still had coupons he said it was 3 weeks old and the cashier didn't write a quantity. I told him I was calling corporate. All he had to do was write a number in the quantity box. I looked online and saw that rainchecks don't expire. I sent an email to the corporate office because they don't open till monday.
I bought the rest of my Pantene not the ones that I wanted but I didn't want to lose those Qs too. I probably still paid more than I should have.
I bought 18 I would've paid $89.82 plus tax. OOP $30.72 including tax
I also bought 3 dishsoaps and 3 dollar items used $4 EB 3 Qs plus my raincheck of 88 cents each OOP 0.55

My papers are such a mish-mash this morning! I got my one delivered, and bought two different ones at the store, a NYC one that's only 1.25. It had the P&G and 2 different RP, but no SS. Then the paper from the neighboring city had 2 RP, 1 SS but no PG (I thought I checked, but not good enough), and my delivered paper has all 4...
