Good Morning Kids!  I really slept in this morning.  Could've stayed in bed longer, (yes, I'm STILL tired), but I need to pretend to be a productive adult.  


Our high is actually in the mid-50's today, which is a very warm temp for this time of the year, but it is very windy outside.

I also slept in this morning and it felt good.  I will have the 3 youngest grandkids this evening.  I'm going gangbusters on getting ready for Christmas and would love to have my shopping completely done by Christmas.  I'm close but Mom will be the difficult one to finish up.

I have also been working on a couple of different family picture projects.  This year at two different times we have taken informal pictures with Mom and various family members.  One was at a birthday party this year and we got one of all the grandkids and great grandkids who were present with Mom and the other was a 4 generation picture at my place with Mom, me, DD, and DGD's.  I took those pictures and had them made into a two sided ornament for the Christmas tree.  I actually had 3 ornaments made, 1 for mom, 1 for DD, and 1 for me.  I also got the pictures printed, since I know Mom likes to have printed pictures to be able to show people.  Then I went the extra mile and wrote the dates and all the names of the people in the picture on the back.

I also got pictures printed of the two youngest grandkids for their ornaments.  These pictures just slip into a little frame that hangs on the tree.  DD got me the frames with the years they were born but I never received a picture.  I finally found a couple of pictures of them as newborns and got them printed.

I've been hitting the Christmas shopping early too this year.  And, I'm ordering one of those power shovels to help me keep the sidewalk clean this Winter, because DH has been working so many hours that he's not going to be a lot of help.  I started putting together my Christmas card list last Thursday, and realize I need to order more cards. This weekend I'll be wrapping the gifts that have already arrived. 


I have a theory on why I'm doing so much early.  Thanksgiving is late this year, so I'll have one less week between Thanksgiving and Christmas to get ready for the big day.

Cards are ordered and within 30 minutes I was notified they had been shipped.  Because I was ordering early, it was 40% off.
