Last night DD brought the kids over for a swim. DSIL is into working his 18 hour days with the harvest mode. Right now he is mostly trying to sleep during the day and with 4 young children in a very small house it is difficult. She brought their dinner over and popped it in the oven to cook while we swam. That gave DSIL a couple of hours of peace and quiet and we got the kids cooled off before dinner and bed time. Today I'm going to go with DD to the parade in there town. The oldest two are going to be on a float for T-ball/baseball. My job will be to stay with the littles while she gets the olders to where they need to be and then picks them up afterwards. There is really all I have planned for today.

We had our regular swim practice and then hit the grocery store. Glad I went early, as it was getting busy when we left. I am making frozen yogurt for dessert tonight.

Good Morning Kids! I'm trying to get moving here, as the kids will be here around noon. Lots of fireworks going off late into the night, so I don't think I fell asleep until between 1 & 2 am. Please pass the caffeine!

How fun, that they get to be on a float, in the parade! Have a good time!

Well, we had a nice visit with DD & her DH. I was hoping for a bit of quiet after they'd gone back home, but one of the neighbors is already lighting up some fireworks. Silly, because the sun is shining brightly. (The weathernerds blew the forecast again.) Oh well, I'll try & take it easy for a bit before I think about all of those dirty dishes in the kitchen.

I've been sitting at DD2s for a couple of hours, mostly by myself, because I don't know anyone and don't want to make small talk. I think I'll probably leave before long.
People are being polite/kind and if I were more outgoing, I would have a good time. But it's just not my thing.

We had a good time at the parade, it is a wonderful small town parade. The kids filled DD's largest mixing bowl full of candy. When I got home I had a little lunch and then decided to lay down for a bit, slept about an hour. After that I sat down in my chair, turned on the TV, and slept for another 2+ hours.

It's 100 outside already. I should have started washing my car sooner than I did. But it is done. All waxed and detailed. She is so pretty now. Anybody need some light snacks and drinks?

Good Morning Kids! I'll grab some fruit, NancysSummerSip, because I ate too well yesterday. Thanks for serving up some snacks! Another cloudy day. Plenty of noise from fireworks last night. So, we slept in.

Today I got the tire sensors replaced and that made the annoying message and blinking light on my dashboard go away. I also finally caved and took a water sample to the pool supply place in town and they tested it and we had a good conversation on what needs to happen to to get everything back into balance. That did mean that I had to text DD and tell her no swimming today since I dumped two gallons of liquid chlorine into the pool and will add a third gallon this evening.

I had 2 sensors replaced & it was around $500. That's the reason why I haven't been in any hurry to replace the other 2 when they died. One of these days, but not today. It is hot in the house. The air conditioner just isn't keeping up.

If I remember correctly we have basically the same car. I have the Traverse and you have the Equinox, so I have 3 rows of seats vs two rows of seats. I did get it done at a tire shop rather than the dealership.

My regular mechanic doesn't do tire-type work, so he referred me to a different shop. I wasn't impressed with the price tag.

Ugh. It's after 3AM MST and I really want to go to sleep! I'm tired, but not sleepy. I can't shut my brain off.
I hope you are sleeping well.
