Oy, peeps. It's been a week, as they say. I am pooped. I am going to try and get a nap in tomorrow, before I leave for the wedding in the afternoon. I just have to wet-mop the floors in the morning and fix DH some dinner.

Morning to all my peeps! Floors are done and now I need directions to the wedding venue. I was not a fan of the invites. Brown with brown writing; very hard to read. And an RSVP card as part of the invite (not detachable) with no return envelope. How does that even work? Oh, and it's an all-cash bar all night, no credit cards accepted.

It doesn't sound particularly "user" friendly, for the guests, unfortunately. I haven't been invited to a wedding in years. Now I have one in June and one in July. The one in July, I'm not going to, because it isn't local and I don't know the bride, or the groom. They are my brother's step kids, from his 3rd marriage and they lived in another state growing up. I will send a gift. It seems so odd to get a wedding invitation with a QR code on it, to me. And to be invited, to go alone. Those are just quirks of mine though. Things I'm not used to. I hope things go well for you and you enjoy yourself.

The correct address should be the American Legion Hall a few blocks south of the empty lot.

It looks like we are in for a beautiful day today. I will head out to work in the yard as soon as it warms up some, right now we are still in the mid 30's degree wise. I hope the irrigation guys who up today. They came by Wednesday, dug a big hole in the yard and haven't been seen since. That is the way this guy works, and I know it, but this is a small town and it is hard to get someone out to do this type of work, especially if you aren't already an established customer. In addition the farmers, rightfully so, get higher priority.

Good Morning Kids! I'll have to catch up with you later, as I'm off for a full day of mischief & mayhem.

Good Morning Kids! I'll have to catch up with you later, as I'm off for a full day of mischief & mayhem. Jealous! My fire alarm keeps going off. It blared for 20 minutes at 10:15. Then for 10 minutes at 11:50. I've heard that you have 2 minutes to get out, once a fire alarm goes off. Thankfully, there hasn't been a fire. I've been ignoring the alarm. Although I did get up and get dressed earlier. Just in case.

I can't figure out QR codes. I tell these young ones exactly that. My cousin with Stage 4 cancer sent me a QR code to send her money because I didn't want to use the GoFundMe because it keeps so much. I was using Paypal. She finally sent me the email address. How hard is it to send an email address?

I worked outside all afternoon and I'm tired. I've had a shower and as soon as I finish eating my dinner I will be retiring to the recliner with my ice pack. There will probably also be a dish of ice cream involved in that at some point.

I am back from the wedding early (relatively speaking). Oy vey. 1. the bar opened an hour before the ceremony started. Which meant guests drank during the ceremony.
2. the ceremony was 45 minutes late 3. the officiant (the bride's aunt) was wasted and wearing a low cut dress and hooker heels, and blew most of her speech.
4. the best man was wasted by the time he gave his rather gross-out speech that was too long. 5. appetizers were an hour late and ran out after 20 minutes.
6. dinner was 90 minutes late.
7. the gals working behind the bar looked rough and tough enough to drag boulders with their teeth. The drinks they poured were apparently lethal-level strong. 8. The members of the bridal party failed to bring two-sided tape. Those dresses should have been sort of sexy, not sliding off. 9. the DJ's musical selections were good, but about 50 decibels too loud for the size of the space. 10. The bride looked amazing! A mermaid illusion gown. Not an easy one to pull off, but she did.
And that's just some of the good stuff. I need to go to bed, but will continue tomorrow.

Well, since I didn't have to attend, it sounds interesting. Haha. I can't wait to hear more about it! LOL (from your point of view.) 😊

Good Morning Kids! Yesterday was a full day, as DD had another bridal shower, and although it was a bit of a drive to get there, it was all very nice. NancysSummerSip, your wedding sounds very interesting. I pray DD's doesn't have so much drama. (Nope, no alcohol. Unless people sneak in their own.)

I actually slept pretty good despite how tired and sore I was. Yesterday I stepped into a deep hole in the yard and am actually very lucky I didn't break my leg. Today I have a nice knot on my shin and bruise that is in a line around over half my leg. It is very tender and hurts. This hole was is lined with some type of plastic thing and I don't know it's purpose otherwise I would pull out the plastic and fill it in. Today is cloudy and windy so not sure how much I will do outside.

OK. wedding continued as I refresh with green tea .... 11. If the bride and groom make an effort, guests should, too Showing up on a Saturday night in shorts and a Megadeth T-shirt is not my idea of wedding attire, just saying. 12. Unruly children should be made to fall in line, or be removed. The couple was nice enough to allow you to bring them, so do the right thing. 13. If you are part of the bridal party, look the part. Father of the groom (came in jeans and a button down fishing shirt, I mean you), take note. Your wife looked lovely, however. 14. No woman wore white (yay!) except the bride. Tattoos there were. Piercings, too. Hey, it's a different world now. 15. If you RSVP affirmative, show up (unless there is an emergency). I was one of six office invitees. I was the only one who showed. The other five confirmed yes, but did not show up, 16. Don't use the occasion to spill dirty family secrets, as one member of the bride's family did to me. Yikes, dude. I did not need to know THAT. 17. Note to the wedding party (groomsmen, best man, maids/matrons of honor) - walk together like you kinda like each other, not like one of you might have COVID or scabies.

My cousins first wedding I had never seen such a collection of tattoos and unusual piercings in one place. The bridesmaids wore beautiful floor length chiffon dresses and doc marten boots.

I am not a fan of the tattoos being visible, but the bride did have one showing (a rose tattoo on her back) so I guess it would have been hard to tell everyone else to cover up. Honestly, she did look fabulous. The mermaid gown is hard to pull off, but she has a lovely figure with actual curves, so on her the dress worked.

Can’t picture a button down fishing shirt?? Sad that he couldn’t make a better appearance for his beautiful bride daughter I couldn't either until I saw that one. What made it awful was the fact that his wife was wearing a very nice pink silk and lace dress, looking very classy. He looked like he was heading out to scrub barnacles off the SS Old Fishing Fart.

At my brother's wedding my sister & I had the job of keeping the mother of the bride out of the bride's changing room, so the mother of the bride did not see the bride's tattoo. The tattoo was kept a secret until my nephew was born. (Brother was deployed so her parents were there for the birth.)

Good Evening Kids! Apparently I haven't yet recovered from all of the activity this weekend, as I'm pooped. Hoping to get to bed at a reasonable time tonight, so I can feel somewhat "normal" tomorrow, whatever that is.

After Maddow woke me at 2:15 AM on Monday night into Tuesday morning, I went to bed early last night.
No cats woke me, but I woke up about 3:30 AM and didn't get back to sleep. I do not understand.

Good Evening Kids! Another busy day, as the alterations are now complete on DD's wedding dress, and we got to pick it up. She modeled it for me, and it looks good. The only problem was, as we were leaving, it began to rain, mixed with hail, so DS & I ran for the car, and drove it up to the door so the dress wouldn't get wrecked, but thankfully the weather settled down by the time we got the car to door.
