TMR happy to help as much as I can. Awful that you are getting these big bills and worried. When you are ill and recovering you need peace not worries
That’s why we’re so glad we have regular medicare and can afford a medigap insurance Both of us fighting cancer has been overwhelming. We would have had sooo much more stress just trying to understand all the diffferent bills let alone pay them
When you feel stronger suggest you make an appointment at hospital. The hospital will have someone who can help you with these bills I’m so very sorry

At least I'm still around and can deal with it. Or try to. It's a lot. The people I've talked to/dealt with in the past about this kind of stuff (hospitals/dr's offices), haven't usually been very nice. Hopefully, I'll have a better experience, this time.

Medicare Advantage plans are supposed to cover what Original Medicare (Parts A and B) covers. However, they can apply different co-pays, so what you'd pay for a particular service through Medicare Advantage can be more than what you'd pay under Original Medicare. Ambulance fees are one example. Your ambulance costs should be covered, but maybe not 100%. Don't pay anything until you or your agent have talked to the people at your Medicare Advantage plan.
If you want to know what's covered, and what are the co-pays for various services in your Medicare Advantage plan, you should be able to download a copy of the plan information. They are a few hundred pages, but are mostly written in understandable terms and it is pretty easy to find the information you are looking for.
Good luck, TMR.

One other thing to consider is that the Advantage plan may not have received all the claims, especially if there are corrected claims etc. The Change Healthcare security breach has meant that no claims are moving through that system to the insurance companies for over a month now. Change Healthcare is the largest clearinghouse so there is a good chance that you claims would need to go through their to reach your Advantage plan.

Good Afternoon Kids! It was a long night, as DS had some nasty coughing fits, and I ended up running to the nearest 24 pharmacy after midnight to pick up something to calm that cough down. I'm still waiting for a phone call back from his doctor. I don't want to bring him in, as I found out this has been going around his new place of work (thanks for the warning!) and it's apparently highly contagious. No sleep for me, but I am going to try to get him some rest (and me). The temps still aren't "warm" here, but with the high sun the snow is melting nicely. It'd be nice to have it gone by Easter, but I don't know if that'll happen. I'll probably keep DS at home anyway. Don't wanna share whatever this is (and yes, we did a Covid home test, which came up negative).

So much for my car wash, last week. I had a doctor appt today, so had to out. Initially there was rain. It turned to snow before I got home.
My blood pressure was still too high, so dr increased one of the new meds I'm on (new since heart attacks, this year), rather than add another med to the mix. I'm glad about that.

Peeps, sounds like a few have had a rough week. I did PT twice this week; never realized how much work it is. I do it every day, just twice a week with the therapist. Those guys are tough. Got a lot of house stuff this weekend: cleaning rugs, wash the car, laundry, floors, that kind of thing. We do have swim practice tomorrow and I will do a quick Walmart stop.

Good Evening Kids! I never fully appreciated PT NancysSummerSip, until I injured my back many years ago, then it happened again, but at least the 2nd time I knew not to waste time waiting on muscle relaxants, and I called my doctor so I could get referred to PT. Those people seriously do God's work in relieving pain and getting movement in your body. The doctor did get medication for DS, basically a prescription strength of Mucinex. Hopefully we'll begin to see some real improvement, although he is a wee bit better tonight. Today's focus is on Good Friday. But other than picking up the meds for DS, I don't dare take him out into a crowd, for fear he could pass whatever this is onto someone with compromised immunity. I'm not sure yet what we'll do for Easter Sunday. I want him to regain his strength, and I don't want him to share, or pick up something worse from all of the visitors we're likely to have at church.

My favorite aunt was somewhat of a surgery addict. I never understand why, but she was.
She had surgery on both shoulders. Because she lived about 45 minutes from a physical therapist, her husband built a set up at their house. He made her do the exercises. She said she would be crying because of the pain and he would tell her, you won't be able to use your shoulder if you don't do the PT. Do it.
She told after each surgery that without him, she would not have done the PT.

Well nuts! DD's future FIL just tested positive for Covid. I knew it was making the rounds again, but this is the closest brush we've had with it so far this year, not including when DH had it the beginning of the year. Time to hunker down.

I think I self-inflicted PT this morning. Swim practice, Walmart, washed the car, cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed the rugs. But my favorite soup is on the stove: turkey meatball chicken noodle with bok choy and carrots. Sounds like a mishmash but I do love it.And I made enough for the week. Laundry is running at the moment. I do have two rugs in the living room left to do, but DH is watching TV, so I won't bother him. We will go to the farmer's market and gourmet deli tomorrow for some treats and local veggies.

Good Afternoon Kids! I posted a bit earlier, but apparently the computer ate it. Anyway, I did get an apple pie baked, and I dropped off some Easter candy at DD's place, but didn't enter just in case I'm carrying whatever illness DS is fighting right now. Tomorrow I'll put a ham in the oven, but DS & I will be able to eat whenever we want, as DH got stuck working.

I didn't want to go anywhere today. But I needed groceries and knew I wasn't going to want to go anywhere tomorrow either. So I got up and went.
I've been having trouble with my washing machine. After it finishes a cycle/running the automatic locking latch doesn't unlatch.
Prior to today, I've been able to jar it open. Today I couldn't. I called the office and was told that since it isn't an emergency, no one would be coming today.
Throughout the day I would periodically check and see if I could get it open. A few hours later, I got it open and was able to dry my clothes.
When you rent and move, you simply change one set of problems for another. I swear.
-I did figure out how to actually shut the washer off, rather than just pause it, which is good. Unfortunately, it doesn't release the latch.

Moonshadow is wrapped in fleece sitting in his couch. He does not want to move and go back in his cage. I think he wants the warmth this morning. I am a bit cold too.
