Thank you all, for your good thoughts and vibes. I finally had a successful procedure! And my blood pressure and heart rate have returned to the realms of normality. Ever since Monday, when I had my heart attack, both have remained very high, even with all the meds and procedures, every single day. I gave up trying to be a model patient Wednesday evening. I pretty much gave up hope of recovery, after Thursday's procedure didn't help. By Friday's procedure, I was a wreck! But here I am, Friday night with a normal blood pressure, heart rate, and No AFib! At least temporarily.
I no longer have multiple IV's, in both arms. No blood pressure cuff and blood draws being done every 2 hours, or less.
Hopefully, I will be released tomorrow (Sat).
My daughters have both been so amazing through all of this! I greatly appreciate that.
I hope everyone's weather improves significantly, soon. Even being in the hospital, I have been aware of the horrible weather, blizzards and many snow sqalls.
Take care and stay safe.❤

Been the usual busy morning. Swim practice, no Walmart, but had the bank to get to. Vacuumed, cleaned the bathrooms and finished baking the cookie dough I had. Laundry in the dryer now. Dinner for me is leftover chicken, rice and peas ((10K race tomorrow allows some carbs tonight). DH is having his beloved fish sticks.

I hope you get released today. Will you be able to go home and be alone or will you spend time at the home of one of your daughter's. Hopefully the one with the quietest house.

Wow! You have amazing strength toomuchreality! I hope you do get to leave the hospital today, and get back home. Good Morning Kids! The temps are in the single digits here. It's just going to go lower, so I need to figure out what I can accomplish today without going outside.

Good new toomuchreality. It is very windy. Little or no sNOw. Vehicle is at repair shop. When I dropped the car off, I told them I thought there was an oil leak. I was correct. They are repairing the oil leak and I am just waiting on a call to come pick up the vehicle. Going to watch the playoff games this week. Debating on purchasing a Peacock subscription so I can watch the KC vs Dolphins game just to see the weather.

Just had a severe thunderstorm line roll through - temperatures should drop behind it. We did need the rain; don't think it will be all day, though the weather nerds on TV say more is coming tomorrow.

I am plowed out, but the wind is still blowing snow around. I can get out of my garage but don't think I will be going anywhere because the highway is still Travel Not Advised.
The conditions from the plow cams tell me I am not driving on them.

DH got out of work before dark, so I did 2 quick errands. It felt nasty-cold outside, and when I got back home I found out the wind chill is already at -23. I'll be happy to stay home tonight.

We had a high today of 7 degrees and the windchill was below zero all day. It started snowing late afternoon and by morning we are supposed to have between 2 - 5 inches. The only plumber that called me back today was the out of state one who said he wasn't licensed to work in Oregon. Because I'm in what would be considered a border town a lot of the trades are licensed in both states. This afternoon I had the 3 youngest grandkids while they took the oldest to her first basketball session. She has been bugging for a sleepover at Grandma's. Mommy set the condition that if they behaved in church this evening the two oldest would be allowed to spend the night.

It's been an exciting morning I didn't need.
When I was in the shower, the combination fire/carbon monoxide detector went off. It is loud. I was stark naked with shampoo in my hair. Had to rinse, dry and dress in a hurry. Called 911 and the volunteer fire department was here very fast. They checked everything out and determined the vent pipes on the roof were frozen over. They had to call for a ladder so they could go on the roof and they cleared the ice from the vent pipes. We are safe now, but Cat Mom is exhausted from the excitement.

Just yesterday one of DH's relatives posted a picture showing they had to shovel snow away from their vent pipes, because they are too close to the ground, and they've had over a foot of snow. Is that a thing in your state, putting vent pipes in hard-to-reach, easy to ice over places? Our vent pipes are in an awkward spot, but they're about 7-8 feet off the ground, where they can't get snowed over. It just looks weird where they stick out of the house.

Good Morning Kids! The thermometer here is at -9, and the wind chill is around -23. We did go to church, but came straight home afterwards.

I'm glad the vent pipe frozen over stuff was taken care of. Sorry about the excitement and timing though. Stay safe. Weatherwise things are crazy. Temps will be old Jan temps I remember here and where I'm from in Illinois is quite cold with a significant wind chill. We have lots of wind for days here in CNJ, but it seems trite compared to snow etc. conditions in the Midwest and other states.

I am back, peeps. Cold, wet, cold, wet race. Did I say cold and wet? Yup. All.Race.Long. But I took first place age group. Well, finished second, but first place was disqualified - she short-cut the race. Had breakfast afterwards with my friend who lives there and found out a mutual friend and former co-worker is the town's mayor. Glad to hear it - he is one of the good guys. Drinking hot tea and warming up now after a shower. Got the laundry running on the closest setting I have to "You stink!" I am glad I planned ahead and bought a good brand of frozen lasagna and a baked ziti BOGO this week. One of those is dinner tonight.

Batting zero right now getting through to the nurse's station or my dad's room. Wish sister had been explicit and told me she was in his room until time x when she had to leave. So I've yet to get anyone but hospital operators yesterday and today. So if you are willing, please pray that I find a time that the nurse's station will actually pick up the phone AND help him receive a call from me even if it needs to be short.

Just put the baked ziti in the oven. I happened to notice on the package that the company that makes this meal is women-owned and operated. Did not know that when I bought it, but I am glad I bought it now. I like to support the women doing good things (and frankly, making my dinner easier tonight). I got the email I was expecting since Friday -- our Monday/Wednesday/Friday swim coach is leaving (has left, actually) so no early practice on those days. We had no practice tomorrow, due to the federal MLK Jr holiday. No idea what's next. The current head swim coach is NOT an early riser kind of guy, so if he is showing up at 6 instead of 5, that won't work for me. I will be switching my workout schedule around for this week, and checking into Silver Sneakers, which I have on my new Medicare plan. Maybe there is a gym with an indoor pool around? I know the Sneakers' hours are usually restricted to the less-busy periods, but I can maybe make that work.

Sneakers hours are not restricted at most of the gyms here. Only restrictions were not privy to a very few things like tanning, etc but otherwise free reign. Several of the hospital “rehab” programs also take silver sneakers. The two Y’s also accepted silver sneakers. But I know this may be a regional thing so take my post with a grain of salt. I did extensive research when I got silver sneakers card. We have a gym on every other corner it seems. Heck we even have two churches that have large gyms accept sneakers. Good luck.

I found a hospital that accepts it (funny you should mention that!) and an LA Fitness that's not too far away with a pool. There are restrictions here due to early morning-late afternoon crowds. I can be flexible, though, if it is an issue. I sent an email to the LA Fitness to make sure they still accept the program.

There is one vent pipe in the back that is about 5 feet off the ground. Mine has never frozen but I have seen frozen vent pipes in that location in one house behind me frozen. Firemen said it was unusual for a roof vent pipe to freeze and that it probably happened because of the way the snow and wind were going. My half of the duplex is about a foot lower than the other half. It could be caused by how it was coming off their roof.

The weather at the KC vs Dolphins game, was so bitter cold! It was crazy. I thought. I'm glad I wasn't there.

Cat Mom and kitties can curl up safe together tonight.

They had to call for a ladder so they could go on the roof and they cleared the ice from the vent pipes. We are safe now, but Cat Mom is exhausted from the excitement. That was awesome for you that it wasn't worse and glad you are OK. Not that iced over pipes is a good thing, but the fire department did respond fast and got it checked out. Cat Mom and kitties can curl up safe together tonight.
Yes, we are cuddling safely tonight. They each went to the basement last evening and meowed with a sound that was like a baby crying. I think they knew something was wrong. The cat that I had when my basement flooded is who let me know that happened. She kept pestering me while I was in bed until I got up to find out what she wanted.
