Oh. I talked to my health insurance company today, about whether or not I have a co-pay and a deductible, when I see my PCP. I don't have either one. I explained the situation with not being able to get a refund of the credit on my account and how they were saying it's because I haven't met my $6,000+ deductible for the year. She was clearly not happy to hear this and she offered to call them for me and explain that. She said maybe she could figure out what they were referring to, about the $6,000. She put me on hold while she spoke to them. It took awhile, but she got results. YAY! She came back and told me that they only send out refunds every 2 weeks, but that mine will be sent next week.
She told me that if they try to get me to make a co-pay in the future, to refuse and have them call the insurance company.
Apparently, they gave her somewhat of a hard time too, saying that according to their records, I have a $35 co-pay. It says right on my card, $0 for PCP and they have a copy of my card.
Anyway, I'm glad she took care of it, because I was getting nowhere.
It was ridiculous. But hopefully, it's taken care of now. I'm glad I thought to call them. 🙂

So while I was out cleaning it up, I weeded the vegetable patch. Its 111 degrees with the heat index. I mean, I do train for hot weather races, but dang....

I am very much enjoying my freshly brewed green tea. I also found a collection of powdered hydration mixes; I received it in a race goody bag. I am going to try some of these, mixed with club soda. There are a lot of fruit flavors (lime, lemon, orange, mango, fruit punch, watermelon) and you can mixed them with varying amounts of liqwuid, depending on how strong you want them. I tried one so far, the watermelon. It was quite good; very true to actual melon taste.

We ate too much, but it was great to fire up the grill after the rain was done.  We were forecast for more rain tonight, but it looks like that won't be happening.  DD spent the afternoon here, & joined us for 2 meals, but left before the neighbors begin to play with their fireworks.  It's been a good day.

I spent all day working inside the house.  It looks much better and I feel better because it isn't so dirty and messy.  Things have been really quiet around here this week fireworks wise.  One night we had less than 5 minutes of fireworks.  I suspect that is was my annoying music neighbors who set those off.  The music has already started so I expect more fireworks tonight.  This neighbor is at least a block away from me as the crow flies yet I frequently can hear their music inside the house over my TV.   They do shut it down right at 11pm but for someone who goes to bed early it is very annoying and disruptive.

I don't even go to bed that early (extremely rare before midnight), yet I would find myself annoyed.

If I'm doing my part to be a good neighbor and not disturb 'you', I believe you should do the same for me. To me, that's reasonable and not too much to ask.

Their music must be REALLY loud, considering the space between you! I'm sorry.

I'm glad you got some things done, so you feel better, in your space.

Good Morning Kids!  I've finally got an appointment with someone to measure our windows for new blinds.  The ones this house has are over 20 years old, and one broke, so I'm just planning to replace all of the bedroom blinds before the others have problems.  So, I'm going to be playing "cleaning fairy" for the next couple of days.

I don't either. I don't have room for one. 😫

I'm going to go pick up a script that I've been out of for a week, because no one has had it in stock. They still don't have the correct mg, but something is better than nothing.
Then I'm going to pick up the new mirror for my car, I ordered last week. Hopefully, I can get it replaced without too much trouble. I hate having broken parts on my car. I still have a broken fog light, but I can't afford the $300 to replace it, right now. It has to be replaced from underneath, which is why it is such an expensive repair. It would only cost $25 if I could unscrew it from the front, myself.

I'm trying to think of a birthday gift for DD1, who will be 47 in a few weeks. It's hard for me to believe I have a child that old!

Good Morning Kids!  It's already been a productive day, as I got an oil change for my SUV, and stopped at Walgreens to get a few things.


I'm still playing cleaning fairy, and my back is sore from yesterday.  Those cleaning ladies earn every dime they make.

DD2 recently got a new cleaning fairy. She does a better job, at half the price, of her first fairy. And she doesn't carry on about things not being spotless, when she gets there (they are cleaned up), like the first fairy.

My current fairy does a great job and I don't have to listen to all of the love life problems of the team.  

They do cost a bit more but they do a great job and it's all business when they are here.

Hooray! The drumming has stopped.
The tenant was given a 3 day notice to stop, or vacate. 🙂
He told the office that he had knocked on all our doors and spoken to each of us, explaining his 7yr old was taking lessons and would be practicing. Supposedly he asked everyone to please let him know if it was bothering us and he would have him stop.
Lies! He has never even knocked on my door, much less spoken to me, or offered to stop.

I got my car mirror fixed. They merely taped the new mirror to the broken one, with 2 pieces of tape! I hope it lasts. I'm worried about it coming loose in the car wash. 🤔

I got such a good workout cleaning today that I wouldn't be surprised if I dropped a pound or two today.  I was too busy to get outside, other than my errands this morning, which is a shame because we finally have some really nice weather here.  Plus, the air doesn't smell like smoke right now.  (Unless of course, I've gotten used to the smell...)      I did open windows to try & air out the house.

I hate this holiday week more and more every year because of the assholes in the neighborhood with fireworks every night.
Is it bad that I secretly wish they blow off their hands or start their own houses on fire as Karma?

So far this has been the best summer weather wise here in at least 10 years. I sure hope it continues. Mild 70s and 80s and good amounts of rain.

Happy furnace Friday, peeps! I got about 1/2 hour of weeding in after work, following a thunderstorm. At least it was cloudy and dropped the temps a bit.

I had some leftover BBQ chicken from the other night. Made a big green salad and topped it with the chicken.

I took a nap after work yesterday and still was able to go sleep last night and had a wonderful nights sleep.  I'm hoping for a good productive day today.  I would like to get a lot done outside but it is supposed to be 101 degrees so probably not.  I still need to finish prepping the laundry room for paint and get it painted so that may be my alternative indoor project.

I've rented out my little she shed to a neighbor for a very nominal amount.  I hope it works out.  Right now I'm having a hard time adjusting to the fact that all of a sudden I see people working in that shed.  They come and go from a very back gate so I don't ever see them arrive or leave.  My plan is to throw the extra towards the mortgage.
