Oh, dear peeps! It has been a week of hurts, hasn't it? I hope everyone gets better. We need our full EE contingent to slap folks into line.
I was hospitalized Wednesday for what I thought was a cardiac issue (severe chest pain on the left side; no radiating pain, no chills, sweating or nausea). Turns out my heart is perfect. The lining of my left lung, not so much. It's pleurisy. Like, who still gets that? I feel 100% better today and will go to a race tomorrow, though it won't be a fast one. No pain all day. I am still on NSAIDs through tomorrow. It's the viral form, so there are no drugs for it. Prognosis is good and nothing bad long-term expected. The lung doc at the hospital said it was probably due to being so sick late last year; some of the bug just hid out and came back.
Holy moly! I'm glad you have a good prognosis, but it doesn't sound like it was fun. Not even a little bit. Take care of you. And get well soon!

Yikes! As I was leaving the grocery store/pharmacy this evening, it started pouring rain. HARD! Then the rain turned into hail that was coming down so hard, it seriously hurt, when it hit my skin. It was crazy, how fast and hard it came down. I'm glad the size of the hail wasn't any bigger than it was. It would have caused major damage.
We're supposed continue having winter storms through the weekend and the coming week.
It's almost mid March. It's time for this nonsense to be over with. IMO any way. Whatever that's worth.

Just got back from the race an hour ago. I am showered, running laundry and chicken, gravy, wine and vegetables are in the crock pot, with dumplings to be added later. Looks like it may need additional liquid (I have extra gravy).
As for me, no shortness of breath, though my legs gave out in the fifth mile. Next week's race is shorter - only a 7K.

It has been 17 years, almost to the day (March 20, 2006), since my boyfriend of 14 1/2 yrs committed suicide, while I was on the phone with him. I had a dream about him this morning, he had come to tell me he wouldn't be back. No reason given. I feel like I just lost him again. So sad. We didn't fight, or argue, before he died. He was in pain, from his back and depressed. If dreams are visits, from someone who has passed on to another life, why would this happen now? All these years later? What a sad day, for me. My heart is broken, again.

My heart is broken, again. Sometimes I think the visit is to let you know their spirit has moved on and is OK. And to let you know there is no real timetable for grieving. My mother left us 12 years ago. Every now and then she returns in a dream and she is walking (which she could not do in the last months of her life), and I often think it's to remind me that she is at peace where she is, even if I have found peace difficult without her.

I agree. That's how I have always felt about previous dreams. It was the message in this one (very different than previous dreams), that threw me. I guess, I'll have to wait and see. Heartbreaking.

Sooooo. My "Maintenance needed soon" indicator came on yesterday. That's normal when there is 500 miles to go before the next oil change. Today, I am out running errands and that indicator flips to the "Check Engine" and "Take Vehicle to Dealer" indicators. Seriously?
Fortunately, my dealer has Sunday hours. Got DH home and breakfast made. Got to the shop before the mob. Figured I might as well have them do the next regular service, too. So I am home waiting for the call on what this could be. Hopefully, nothing serious or expensive. I had projects lined up, and got most of them done. Dinner is salmon patties (mixed and chilling in the fridge) and roasted potatoes. Did my shredding and docs are laid out for filing later. Paid a bill. Ran the dishwasher. I will have to go back to the shop in about 1 1/2 hours (they close at 4, but there is a NASCAR race on at 3, so of course, I get that DH wants to watch). No worries -- I am saving a project to do there if I have to wait a bit.

I hope it isn't anything too serious. I always worry, when a light comes on in my car. Cars with computers are so different from carburetors. Which is what I'm used to and have had, until a few years ago. Even now, my car is a 2012, so I get nervous. Good luck!

But like most things, some parts are better and some are worse. I wish I was better at staying balanced, in life. My motivation and depression definitely tip the scales. Now I have added heart problems to that. But I really don't want to go through the tests to see what, if anything, can be done. I'm a wimp.

Just got the call. It was a bad oxygen sensor, which is not cheap. Also need two new tires, which are covered. But at least if all this had to happen, it happened today, because major bridge construction in the area shuts down one of two routes out of this area starting tomorrow. So getting anywhere after today going southbound is going to be a nightmare. Northbound will be OK (at least getting to the pools, grocery store and salon will be easy. Yay!). But all our doctors are south of here, as is the hospital. And this is 20 months of construction.

Good Afternoon Kids! We made it to church in spite of snow falling again this morning. Even at church they're ready for Winter to be done. So sorry about the dreams you're having, toomuchreality. Sometimes dreams can be just as painful as an actual event. I didn't sleep well last night due to the time change, so I'm going to try & sneak in a nap this afternoon.

I'm taking my car in, to get emissions testing done and pay tax and license, tomorrow. DD2 will pick me up in the morning, after she drops girls off at preschool.
It's going to be a REALLY EARLY morning, for me. Then drag on forever, I think. But at least it will get done.
I didn't sleep last night, because I had so much anxiety about my dream. I'm dragging today. But I'll be okay.
Thanks to everyone, for your kind thoughts.

Yikes, it looks like we need hugs all around. We did find out that Mom's bruising was related to the blood thinner shots she was receiving in her stomach while in the hospital. Home health also determined that Mom is doing just fine and in fact they thought she was doing great for her age and could see no reason to recommend that she should move. I have come down with a nasty cold, I hope that Mom doesn't catch it. Friday evening I started thinking I was getting a cold and by Saturday afternoon my nose was running good, which it has continued to do.

Hooray! My car passed and it only took about 1/2 hr, so I waited there for it. And I got my new tags there too, so it's all done. That's always such a relief for me. Woo-Hoo!

Coming in to say hello and work on finifshing my cup of double Earl Gray. It's so good that I don't need to add sugar.
Not too much going on for me, but that is fine for the moment.
Everyone take care!

Yesterday I finally got smart and took some time for myself. After 4 hours at work I told the boss I was done for the day and crawled into bed and slept all afternoon. Got up for a short while in the evening and then went to bed at normal time and slept all night. While I still have cold symptoms I feel way better today.

Good Morning Kids! I actually woke up to a nasty back spasm this morning. We've got more of that nasty white stuff that's due to arrive here Thursday & Friday. My body is probably warning me, as it usually does with some sort of random pain, that it'll be a big storm.
