Cheesy, Unfortunately I'm one of those horrible parents who expect my kids and DH to be self sufficient so they all know how to cook. I am in charge of groceries, however. I can and have served only least favorite foods for a week when I've been displeased. It is in fact my most lethal and effective threat. "Keep pushing me and you'll get crap for dinner for a week!" Seriously though, I'm not inclined to do that much work today. My muscles still ache from shoveling.

Come down to FL, there is no shoveling here! You sound like you can be devious when you need to, and shame on you for teaching them to cook!

Cheesy, I heard on TV that last week 49 of the 50 states had snow on a certain day. The only one that did not have snow was (drum roll)
FL of course.

My list is rather extensive, and it will probably take me more than 2 weeks to get it all done. It includes touching up the paint in the mudroom, den and bedrooms, scrubbing all the baseboards in the house, cleaning windows (grr...I miss my 'tilt-in' windows), making curtains, moving stuff up to the attic, bringing stuff DOWN from the attic, finding a place for said things from the attic... But tomorrow I am going to Kohls to get a bench and a mudroom hutch. Pick up a rug, and I think I might get one room in this house TOTALLY done after living here for almost 6 months.

Well, I can actually cross part of one thing off my list. I got shelves today for the laundry room & the garage. Moved the deep freezer from one side to the other in the laundry room, mopped where it was, got the shelves up and organized everything in there. Organizing the garage is hubby's dept, but I got the shelves he wanted assembled and sitting out there for him now.
one down.
