I heard that interest in archery is up due to "The Hunger Games." I had to take archery as part of my high school phys ed class...in the seventies! Would I like that movie? Has anyone here seen it? I haven't seen it, but am dying to. I hope it's something I will like. |

Where did you just go on vacation ? I'm in the Washington Cascade mountains, between Mount Saint Helens and Mount Rainier. as to the reservations. You can go on most of the reservations with exception to parts of them that are protected areas much like a wilderness area. Some of those, you can get permits to see but these days it isn't all of them. Out here prettty much every tribe has a casino somewhere on the rez and some tribes have museums with gift shops. Except for at "pow wows" it is difficult to find quality beadwork or baskets.
I will add that most of what you see are poverty stricken homes with a lot of junk cars(pony herds)in the yard. It is fairly depressing.

doodle: I was looking for Mt. St. Helens and saw signs on the way toward Portland, but where the heck is it? I think we saw it from the highway and perhaps didn't know it??? We came through Idaho into Spokane and then Seattle. You sure live in a beautiful area, doodle. The mountain passes between Coeur d' Alene (sp.?) and Spokane are AWESOME!! I hear C d'A is suppose to be a top retirement area...gorgeous there!! The Oregon coast is AMAZING...drove it in a day!! Sunny and warm that day too.

We were heading toward Portland and then decided to head toward Astoria instead and drive down the OR coast from there...all the way into CA. Saw lots of logs.
