beachbum: Aha!! I hate to say, I told you so. That's exactly what I warned about. That's why I NEVER do these deals until I read on the net that they are actually working. More than not, they DO work; but I don't want to be the one that finds out that they don't. I checked HCW earlier. Looks like only the purple package is producing the RR. Since it's good thru the 30th, I didn't bother to make a special trip. Will wait and see what reports look like over the weekend.

Re: Cottonelle Cat deal:Some reports on a regional blog and on Slickdeals are saying that the Cat is printing for Cottonelle Ultra (purple package) while one person is reporting he/she tried the Ultra and did NOT get a cat. Personally, I've never seen the purple pkg at my Wags anyway. These days, I've gotten somewhat brave & will test things if it's something I really want. (And I eat the cost if it doesn't work out.) But, if anyone is on a tight budget, I'd recommend steering clear of this until more positive reports come in. ETA: Constanz is faster than me

Re: Extreme Couponing
I felt very uncomfortable with the episode the other night where they showed the young gal's family with disabilities. It felt exploitive to me. I have family members with disabilities, and this just didn't feel right to me.
I get why the Producers did it - to create this sort of sweet story. But it just felt to me like they were taking advantage of people. Not cool.

Actually I guess it's more that most of what I want to buy WOULD BE free if the deal works. If it's not free, I don't want it.

leanna I'm willing to try this deal too, if I can find the purple package in the store. My tp stockpile is really low, so, even if I don't get the RR, it's not a horrible price. $10 ($5 each) - $2 Wags IVC - Manu Coupon (I haven't checked to see what value mine is...I've read .50, .75, $1) I think I have at least 1 $1/1, so, even without the RR, they'd be $3 or less a package...plus I have 2 of the $1.60 RR's to use on something this week. Might as well burn them on tp. If I get the RR, even better...

Some of the couponers featured, later said that TLC edited what was taped to make them look like whackadoos. One of them (a brunette gal who was quite overweight) was featured again in a later episode. Maybe she threatened to sue so they paid her to tape the second episode. In the second episode, she was shopping to stockpile for her grandma - making her look altruistic rather than a whackadoo. Obviously TLC is producing this show for money and for no other reason. They call themselves The Learning Channel, but Extreme Couponing shows that they are not in the least bit interested in educating anyone.

It's hanging out on SlickDeals that has made me braver. Other people try out deals & report. So I figure, well, it's only fair that I take some risk too. It's worth it - because if you're the first to try and it works out you don't have to worry about cleared shelves. But I also have enough experience to know when to try things. I.e. Rite Aid and Wags - if there's somethihttp://notmsnmoney.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wir&action=modifypost&thread=14873&post=608147ng that's a glitch that I think is going to be changed, I buy on Sunday. Constanz,Positive report coming from NY on the Ultra cat...hopefully that means it will work in PA.

This week at RA has been wonderful - CoverGirl and Aveeno plus other freebies of Scope mouthwash and Pert shampoo. The next 2 weeks are going to continue to be great at RA. So hopefully everyone is looking at Frugal Suz's blog to see the roundup of deals: frugalsuz.blogspot.com/If you're low on cash or UPs, you can start with one item and keep getting back in line to continue to roll your UPs. Lots of good and useful things for free, so it's really a good week to jump into RA. Anyone who is new (or not new) who would like to do these deals, but doesn't understand how to do 'em, please feel free to ask questions! This is a warm, supportive place where there are so many awesome people who will answer questions. And I seriously tip my hat to FrugalSuz. I often think I've come up with every deal for the week, and then I check her blog - and sure enough, she has found one I haven't thought of. This week it's the Suave deal. Very cool!

Since RA started imposing limits, I just can't justify driving across town for their deals. I DO like that the UPs can be used on anyone's card, but just can't justify spending the time and gas to get stuff that I already have in my stockpile.

Who was it that only uses Barilla pasta sauce? I think it was one of our newer hounds. I was just going thru my Q's and found several $1/1, but they expire 10/23. If you want them, PM me your address and I'll get them right out.

Anyone looking to do the Cottonelle deal at Wags, check your stash of catalina's. I just went thru mine from Wags and have 2 $1/1. Even better deal than using the MC's currently out.

I've never gotten Cottonelle cats from Wags. I wonder if it is because I've never purchased Cottonelle at Wags? I have a couple Revlon beauty tool cat mq's that I'm going to use the week of 10/9 when the Revlon items will be 40% off.

I know I'm out of the loop but when did TLC become such a tawdry network? They used to have decent programs years ago but the few times I watched EC, I saw previews for shows that I would consider trash. I absolutely cannot watch the show Hoarders. It makes me sick to my stomach to see the filth that people live in. The last episode I watched did it for me when I saw a rat jump out of someone's trash in their living room. Leanna: Your stockpile room looks neat. I bet you'll have lots of fun organizing it. Are you doing the P&G rebate on the Cover Girl items from Rite Aid? Also, there are some codes on your receipt where you can get some free Taylor Swift items.

Is anyone else looking for that CG coupon that came out this week? I have a few since I don't need makeup right now and I am not giving ex-SIL coupons unless she specifically requests something.
I watched a lady do the most awesome hounding in the store today- super-organized, and was showing me stuff! We chatted Qs and deals and I invited her to join us. I hope she does.
I am putting together my shopping list for Monday with Qs now. What I really want to do is just crash.
Leanna- Thanks for posting about the price book. Hope the move has gone smoothly.

I think sealy posted that she needs one more. You might PM her and see if anyone offered to send it to her - although I guess it might be too late - not sure.

Thanks Ruby Slippers - it is going to be so much fun when my husband is done w/the remodel and I can actually put things on shelves! Yup - sent in the P&G rebate - some Pantene and then mostly CG items. And, yup, have been inputting those codes like crazy for the TS items. I can't believe they're giving all that stuff away for free! Thanks MizBear - the move was intense but it's good to be in our home. --------------------------------------------------------------- RA 10/9This is going to be a seriously good week at RA - so much so that I actually had to put all the deals into Excel. Just easier to track when it's that many items. My little spreadsheet is attached in case anyone finds it handy. You could move things around, to split this up into multiple transactions to roll UPs if you need to. ETA: Almost everything is limit of 1, except for the Suave, Carefree & Colgate. Suave and Carefree are coupon/VV deals so that pretty much limits you to 2. Colgate is limit 4 I think. And there's one other freebie that I didn't list, because I don't plan to buy it. RA brand hand sanitizer is $1 with $1 up so free after UP - limit of 4. Enjoy! Attachments:RA 109.xlsx.jpg (9.96 KB)

Hello Friend! I really need to get back into hounding. *Gasp* I realized I'm down to my last bottle of shampoo and conditioner.
I will be stocking up on the Cottonelle deal. Though I am not a Cottonelle fan - as someone else said, it is way to thick. I worry about it clogging my septic system. Then my cheap TP will end up costing a small fortune.
I'm in a better place financially than when I started couponing at the beginning of the year, so I'm hoping I'll have the funds on hand to stockpile when the prices are good.

I stopped in CVS yesterday after dropping off Sierra at the groomers. It is acroos town, but it was across the street from the groomer. I have to admit, I felt a bit extreme. I wanted the Folgers coffee and insoles and had some eb's that would have cut the cost that were expiring. It isn't what I came out with. I got: 2 Pantene for $6.97 1 Scholls insoles for $9.99 4 Covergirl blush for $14.98 3 individual cereals $3.00 (needed a filler) Used $7.50 EB 16.00 Covergirl (and, yes, I got the overage) $5.00 off of $25.00 e-mail $3.00 off Scholls $3.00 off 2 Pantene (9-25 RP) Seeing the beginning total come down from over $40.00 to $0.99 subtotal felt extreme. I did get a raincheck for the coffee.... So, I guess I'm started on the rebate....

I stopped at CVS last night. Summer stuff was 75% off. I got 4.80 in Clearance items- foam puzzles for my 3yr old niece that we have been watching a lot lately- .25 ea, lint roller .25, kitchen scrubbers .25 for a 2 pk (needed these) hubs got a CD repair kit he has been eyeing for awhile 1.00. Also got 6 Dove S/C, Schick razor and Bengay. OOP was 5.77 and got back 10.00 in EB's. I think I used about 12.00 in Eb's but was pleased with what I got. Then off to WM, hubby needed some OTC stuff and he prefers the Equate brand. He thinks it works better for him, so fine.....whatever! $10.00 in OTC. I needed mousse, got 2 Suave professionals, 4 Suave S/C, found a Schick Hydro starter razor 5.47 -5.00 IP and a Schick Quattro that came with 4 refill blades 6.97 - 5.00IP. Had them PM the Downey unstoppables (love this stuff!!!) to local ad for 4.97 -2.00 Q = 2.97 ea. Every where I have looked it has been around 7.00, so I was pleased. Also got 2 GC items -blush brush and sponges (needed both), spent 36.00 OOP but was happy to get it down from $69.00
I am making my list to run to Dollar General for the 5/25.00 today. I will let you know how it goes. I am looking for CG blush at 4.00ea, 1.00 Snuggle sheets (.75 Q) Lysol wipes (BOGO on DG site and 1.00Q from All You) and maybe Folgers.

At my WM the Schick disposables for 1.97 were wiped out and the Scrubbing Bubbles toilet thingy was nowhere to be found. I was hoping to get some overage on the Schick, but no such luck!
