Hello Friend! I really need to get back into hounding. *Gasp* I realized I'm down to my last bottle of shampoo and conditioner. I will be stocking up on the Cottonelle deal. Though I am not a Cottonelle fan - as someone else said, it is way to thick. I worry about it clogging my septic system. Then my cheap TP will end up costing a small fortune. I'm in a better place financially than when I started couponing at the beginning of the year, so I'm hoping I'll have the funds on hand to stockpile when the prices are good. P8nt - Whaaaaaat? Your last bottle of shampoo & conditioner? You need to come over to my house! Will you remind me/us what stores you have? If you have Wags or RA, I will see what's coming up in terms of shampoo/conditioner. And are there particular brands/types you want?

Thank you to whomever put up the info on the catalina TP deal at WAGs!! I bought 4 12 packs. It's a good thing Big Sarge wasn't around to see it! Such a good deal though. The square footage is 157.2 square feet per package, which makes it 13.1 square feet per roll.

For P8nt and anyone else, if you are partial to John Frieda, there's a deal at Wags this coming Sunday 10/9. Prices are based on my store, which is sometimes higher than others in the area: Prices:Frizz Ease Shampoo, Conditioner or Daily Nourishment $7.49 ea Frizze Ease Serum $9.99 ea So, a transaction would look like this: (1) Serum $9.99 (2) Shampoo/conditioner/nourishment/etc $14.98 Less: Free Q -$(7.49) (See here to print it: wepillagethevillage.com/Printables.html)2 MQ's @ $2 ea -$(4.00) (Supposed to be coming in this Sunday's paper) OOP = $13.48 Less $10 RR Net $3.48 for 3 products or $1.16 per item.

Ooty: I did my hounding today at Dollar General, getting my total up by getting the Cover Girl items. I did 4 transactions as I had 4 of their coupons and saved almost 92%. Since our tax is over 7%, I didn't do too bad. Besides the makeup, my freebies were All detergent, light bulbs, pepper, items for a school craft project, 5 lb. bag of flour, candles and Air Wick ultras. My niece gave me another coupon and I will go back to get a box of Hefty garbage bags.

The square footage is 157.2 square feet per package, which makes it 13.1 square feet per roll. Thanks for posting the square footage TheHome6. That's very helpful! Here's what I get when I do the breakdown (this is based on the q's I have - some people may have higher value mq's: 2 @ $5 ea = $10 Less Wags q -$(2) Less 2 .50 mq's -$(1) Less $3 RR -$(3) Net $4 for 2 packages or $2 per package $2 divided by 157.2 SF = 1.3 cents per SF. I checked their website and it does appear that the Ultra is always double-ply. If so, that's a pretty good price (in recent prices my stock-up price for Cottonelle double ply has ranged from 1.2 to 1.6 cents per SF.) However, for those who are not double-ply particular, and I know there's a lot of people on here who are not, I think you could get a better deal on a 1-ply.

Septic System and TP: Most toilet papers now are septic safe and it will be marked in almost illegibly small print on the package. Charmin, Angel Soft, Cottonelle, and Scott are all Septic Safe. There is also stuff you can get to pour into your tank that will help keep your tank clean. Not the word I'm looking for- but my brain is fried. Leanna- You have PM beachbum- Got your envie- thanks! If my hound goes properly Monday, I should save enough to be able to use the Wonka coupons that are out so I can have some candy for me. COUPON ALERT- coupons.com has a $1/1 Philly cooking creme out right now that exp. 11/6 if you have not gotten it yet. If you don't see it- try going to Family Frugal Fun on FB and trying their link to the coupon

Hey! You gave me a black eye! Good thing I got some free Cover Girl concealor to cover it up HA! Errr...... I mean sorry . I'm not a make-up gal, so I skipped over the Cover girl deals. Quick recap...where can I get the better deal? - CVS ..B1G50 + $5 ECBs wyb $50 Beauty?
- Walmart? I hear slight MM
- Kmart? I hear 10 OYNO Cat wyb $35 P&G
- Target? I hear slight MM
- Wags next week (B1G50). My top choice due to the rebate receipt
I don't know the first thing about prices(Chicago), may not use the products, so I want the MM deal. My main focus is to get $50 of Cover girl, use coupons to get OOP for close to zero, pay $4.75 in taxes and submit the "get $10 wyb $50 P&G products" rebate. I think CVS is the best deal due to $5 Beauty ECB....actually the Kmart deal might beat CVS. Since its already Sat, my best chance to find products could be at Wags (starts next week) and Wags has the bonus of rebate receipts. What do you ladies think? Thanks.

Hey kids, REVERSE HOUND ALERT:Can't recall who was looking for the Celestial Seasonings tea Q's? I have two if there is still the need, just raise your hand if you're still interested. Finished the $10 UP for Cover Girl last night. Spent about $2.33 OOP and got 4 concealers, two eye pencils and two individual eye shadows. I was fortunate that the lower priced CV items were in stock at my local RA. Have one more $8 CV Q left, hope to be able to reach the $50 to get the $10 P&G Beauty rebate. Will have to see what other P&G product Q's I have and what sales are out there. Skubikky - Picghaw needs those. (Now, Picghaw, stop fighting with me! ) leanna: I declare a cease-fire ;D skubikky, I sent you a PM. Thanks!

I might have to dig into that Obama SS money after all. <sigh> At least you have the SS money, IL state took ours starting in Feb as per State Income Tax increase. And then on Monday, Cook County wiped out anything else I have saved in terms on rebates & coupons with a 25% increase in property taxes....after I did the whole assessment appeal thing. It took me until Wed to calm down from my fit of rage.

Picghaw: Do you have a Rite Aid near you? This week and the week of the 16th, they have a deal where if you spend $30.00, you'll receive $10.00 in UPs. I bought 8 eyeshadows, the kind with 4 or 3 colors to a pack. My receipt shows $5.59+2.79+5.59+2.79+5.19+2.59+5.19+2.59 minus 4 $8.00/2 MQ's= subtotal of $.32+2.26 tax. For $2.58 I got 8 items, a $10.00 UP and 8 codes to redeem for Taylor Swift merchandise. You can only do this deal once to get the $10.00 UP but you could still buy more Cover Girl to get your total to $50.00 for the rebate. You could also finish up your deal by buying it at the Dollar Store and/or Walmart. Hope this helps.

OOTY - Do you love the Downey Unstoppables? I keep waiting to see them in a CVS or WAGS ad but haven't seen them around here yet. I am holding tightly to those coupons hoping for a deal.
DANCIN - Thanks for the welcome back. I've been lurking some from my cell phone but had some extra vacation days off work so I wasn't at a computer to post.
LEANNA - I will definitely try the Frizzease deal. I tried the link you posted but got an error message. I'll hunt around and see what I can find. THANK YOU!! The only one I don't care for is the one in the green packaging. And my kids aren't extremely picky on the shampoo. DS likes Aussie - but he will adjust if I get him something else.
DEBINWA - I may have a couple extra $8/2 CG coupons. I'll be cutting in a bit. How many would you like if I can come up with 2 would that be good?
Also, I mostly go to CVS and WAGS. Rite-Aid is a bit far of a drive unless it's a super wonderful deal or I'm already headed to that town.

Thanks so much! I only got one. Please let me know if there's anything you're looking for. I have very few inserts (usually just one or two), but I'd be happy to share if I have something you're interested in.

Apparently it was a regional Q. Gosh, wouldn't you know it - a Q I'm desperate for and it's regional. I'm trying to stockpile any/all food that I can get really cheaply. DH's brother is going to live with us for several weeks/a few months (not sure yet) while he's on temporary assignment out here. We are THRILLED because he's such a nice guy, but having another big boy to feed is going to be expensive.

I had to return something at Sears today and was very happy to find all of their summer clothes marked down to 7.99! I new clothes! (Yes, I have clothes shopping issues...) There were a lot of things that I can wear into fall...didn't get anything real summery. I got 2 big bags of clothes, including a light jacket that was 19.99, for $120 Then went to another local department store for another return and they had their summer stuff for 3.99! No need to shop thrift stores with prices like these! Love it! Constanz - Awesome score! looks like we have the same problem :-) Check JCP as well. My store had tons of items for $1.49 & $2.97. Another store had items for 97c! I also got an email for extra 20% off (today/tomorrow). lemme know if you'd like to me to forward email it to you. I got 20 items for $46 OOP. Our summer wardrobes are coming along nicely.

CVS DEAL ALERT
I know most people used up their Cover Girl coupons already but i thought of a deal on Revlon that looks pretty good. Revlon makeup is on sale BOGO 50% off this week. The 9-18 SS had $5/1 revlon Age Defying product. Using 2 of the $5/1 MC combined with the $3/10 CRT coupon this week it could make for some seriously cheap cosmetics.
I know it depends on what exactly you get as they are all different prices but I thought I would give everyone another idea for those $3/$10 CRT's. Have a great weekend all!

Ooty- Are you still looking for a peacoat for DD? Did you see the ones in the Target ad this week? They were a really good price, even better if you have one of the red cards for another 5% off.

I know it depends on what exactly you get as they are all different prices but I thought I would give everyone another idea for those $3/$10 CRT's. Have a great weekend all! I stopped by in my travels and looed at what my store had. It might not be that great a deal unless someone has some ECB's they need to use. All the Age Defying Revlon was $14-$15 reg price so it would be about $22.50 for two with the BOGO 50% off. So it would be a little less than $10 for two with the $3/$10 CRT. So I guess it depends on if someone uses this makeup and loves it then maybe $5 each is a great deal. For people who don't care as much maybe it is still too expensive. For me presonally I have a $5 off two revlon products CRT that I hand't used plus the $5/25 email coupon. So with a filler of a couple of bucks I could take $20 in revlon coupons off. So it works for me but I am not sure for everyone. Sorry for the premature deal post.

Leanna: Thanks for posting your spreadsheet for the Rite Aid deals this week. It made it easy for me to plan my transactions. Rite Aid had everything in stock and I wanted to break up my $10.00 UPs so this was a good week. I did get back $6.58 because I ended up with the wrong Prep H (shelf was mistagged). I bought some Flavor Ice clearanced at $.37 a package because DH loves those things and I also got a dozen eggs.
Walmart: It really pays to be persistent. I have been going by the Schick aisle for those cheap razors for the past few weeks and they have been constantly out. Today I got lucky and got 6 of them for over $6.00 in overage. Combined with $5.00 of my Rite Aid refund, I spent $19.35 at Walmart and got 2 cases of pop, 6 razors, fresh mushrooms, a whole pineapple, a book of stamps, 12 oz. almonds and some shoe polish. I pricematched the pop, mushrooms and almonds. I used a $2.00 Pepsi coupons and 3 Schick $6.00/2 IPQ's. The neat thing is that there is a coupon inside every Schick package. Is this a gift that keeps on giving or what?
