Was it that... Your Granny died on you B-day, and s/he brings a bouquet of flowers for your and an extra one for your granny and then offers to take you and be with you at the cemetery?
OR
Was it that.......

Beats me. I've spent the last decade expecting her to get sick of putting up with me at any moment.

The surprise Valentine weekend trip to a Cape May B&B including a book about the haunted B&B's (one of which was the one he took me to). He had romantic dinners planned and everything was perfect. I still remember shopping on the boardwalk in the light February snow.

I probably won't have the avatar much longer. Loop really doesn't like it. Not that I'm whipped or anything, I mean, I definitely wear the pants. However, if I don't keep her happy she won't let me for very long.
The story of the first time we met or the first time we met in person? The first time we ever talked I ran into her looking for a friend of mine in an internet chat room. We talked for a bit, and neither of us were that impressed with the other. The first time we met in person she and a crazy Canadian chick showed up to ruin New Year's in 99/00. I should have been in Vegas living it up in case the world ended due to Y2K or whatever. Instead I got stuck hanging out with my nerdy friends and these two online chicks they knew. It was totally lame. At midnight we were all stone cold sober and just coming out of a Circle K where we went to buy some booze real quick. I wasn't in the best mood as you can imagine. When we got back none of the other guys wanted to drink, "it's getting late", so the two ladies and I spent all night sneaking into the kitchen to take shots and refill our "sodas". Sometime around 4 AM on January 1st 2000 I decided Loop was all right.

Yup, the pants that Loopy picked out and told you to wear.

That's a good question I am not really sure what was THE moment. I know a huge bonus in his favor was he didn't run away calling me an overly assertive bitch.

The fact that he didn't me after the semi-nasty email I sent him after our first date - although he told me later he did think about it.
Also - 2 months after we started dating, his company did a weekend trip to the river for some tubing (sitting in a tube, floating in the water, letting the river take you down to a pre-determined pick up spot, drinking heavily along the way). He invited me along. The river was running very fast that weekend due to heavy rains the week before - we were warned by the rental company that if we weren't strong swimmers, not to get in the river. About 20 of us did anyway - including me and DH (boyfriend at the time).
Within 20 minutes of getting into the water, there was a spot on the river that we couldn't float under and there was a tube/log jam with the first people blocking the way. I saw the blockade coming and tried to brace myself when DH's tube rammed into me from behind. I got flipped out of the tube and caught under water underneath everyone else. Several scary seconds went by underwater before the tubes finally moved and I could get above water.
I popped up coughing and sputtering next to someone else and they grabbed me and told me to hold on. Once I realized I was ok, I started trying to look for DH, only to realize he was in the water beside me. He had jumped in to try and save me. I found out later he couldn't swim very well and it was a stupid thing for him to float the river that day.
I was already crushing on him a lot before that - him trying to rescue me and save the day sealed the deal with me.

Dark/Loop
love.....ahhhhh verrry good.
On 'Whipped'.....being the whip or being the object of whip
you have something of love/intimacy[which is very valuable]
I'd try to always elevate it and cherish it.

I am not a 100% sure he is "the one", but we started dating almost 2 years ago in July. My birthday is in September. I like to read a lot and he was talking to me one night on the phone, discussing the authors that we like. It was just before "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown came out. He bought me that book and one night before my birthday I called him all excited because I had just got my copy of "The Lost Symbol". He asked me what other authors I liked and bought me another book by one of my favorite authors. He is just really caring and wants to please me so - who knows - maybe he is the "one".

when she look at me with her dark brown eyes, wag her tail and licked my hand I knew she was the one. as for women after 3 I figured the odds where now in my favor that the 4th would be able to put up with me after 10 years were still going strong

When I realized we had spent more than 72 consecutive hours together and he hadn't annoyed me and I didn't want him to go away. Also, when he went away and I actually missed him.
I don't like most people that much. I can usually handle 8 hours straight with a person and then I need them to go away.

On our second date we were driving from my dorm to his apartment in his car. A song came on the radio and I started singing along even though I can't sing worth a damn. When he started howling, I knew he was a keeper. Thirty one years later, not much has changed.

Taxman, LMAO!! DH and I both feel strongly that we are both with "the one". Or at least until we meet the real "the one" we think that. We also think it's the other that is more liked by people and that make our marriage work. He thinks it's me and I think it's him. (Psst. I really know it's me.)

The instant I saw him in my 7th grade classroom, I knew. He used to say he saw me first. Every boy throughout junior high and high school lacked something when compared to him. Every guy I ever dated fell short of the mark. Even Whatsisname, The Father of My Children, didn't quite measure up, but by that time, I figured that finding someone like TGH was just wishful thinking. When he "found" me again after 32 years, he called me and said "I think we should get married." I said "I think you need your head examined." Six weeks later we were married on Valentine's Day, 1989. He picked the day Funny that neither of us spoke a word to the other that day. I remember what I was wearing and what he was wearing. I remember his way cool (for the times) flattop and his million-dollar smile. He told me once that he remembered what we each were wearing...riiiight!...but when he described my dress and told me which shirt he had on with his khakis, I knew he was truthin'. He was the best ever.

That's a really great question and I honestly don't know. I was very young when we started dated (I had just turned 17 three weeks earlier) and we just seemed to get along great. I can't say when I "knew", I just did.

There was something about Crabby - I didn't know what, but it scared the crap outta me. She ate and drank like a guy - never gained a pound. Had a warped sense of humor and was a 10. I proposed to scare her off. She said yes................I got a life sentence outta that one.

There is no "one", you have plenty of people that you could live with or marry, this ONE is hopefuly in the 90th percentile of your tolerance range. Didn't you start one of these threads on YM already?

Don't get me wrong, I love my wife, but if we'd never met I'd probably have found somebody else and we'd be just as happy. Or I'd have just as much fun making her miserable, whatever.

Well we know it was IHOP's way with words that made his wife fall in love with him.Actually one of the most attractive things about my woman is how plain spoken she has always been, never any beating around the bush(I do that). She typically wants the unvarnished truth, there are those times however...
