Oopsie! It is a really cute story and hopefully it all works out. I'll quit trying to ruin the tough guy image now.

We met at a bar. It was summer and I had on a sun dress and a lot of my tattoos were showing. He came up and bought me a drink and we had a great time. Later he was ragging on me about tattoos and how he hates them so I asked why did he even bother to start talking to me since I never tried to cover them and he says "I was trying to look down the top of your dress to see your boobs" then I knew at least he would be brutally honest with me. This man was a keeper.

Was it that... Your Granny died on you B-day, and s/he brings a bouquet of flowers for your and an extra one for your granny and then offers to take you and be with you at the cemetery? ORWas it that....... I don't believe in soul mates or The One. Hubby and I have compatible temperaments, goals, etc., and that makes us fairly compatible. But, honestly, I could have been just as happy with a number of other men, and I'm sure Hubby could have been just as happy with some other woman.

"Not that I'm whipped or anything, I mean, I definitely wear the pants." Yup, the pants that Loopy picked out and told you to wear. That's funny right there! ;D

There is no "one", you have plenty of people that you could live with or marry, this ONE is hopefuly in the 90th percentile of your tolerance range. I actually completely agree with that. Don't get me wrong, I love my wife, but if we'd never met I'd probably have found somebody else and we'd be just as happy. Or I'd have just as much fun making her miserable, whatever. So true. Hubby and I call marriage, "the race to widowhood." Whoever becomes the widow is the winner.

What he said. I can't imagine being without my husband NOW, but.. yah.. I imagine there are probably lots of someones out there. Or there were.. until I got one and decided to not look for the rest. And yes, I am a tramp. Or rather I WAS a tramp. I'm so agree with you, Loop. On both accounts.

LOL!!!! I'm stopping at 1!!!! The thought of having to re-train another man makes my head explode. And then they go and un-learn all the training anyways. Bastards! Why do you think I never had kids?

When I found myself completely understood without saying a word and knew their eyes were the eyes I wanted to look into for the rest of my life. All of the love poems finally made sense and never once did I question whether or not I was missing out.

How Did You Know S/He Was the One???After a year of dating I realized that I would never meet a finer person & that we were a perfect match. Now 21 years later we shock people because we are so close. Oddly our minds think along the same pathways & we can normally tell what the other person is thinking (with the one exception that I can never find where she puts stuff in the kitchen).

Tex - You two do sound really close when you post about your relationship. I'm surprised it took you a year. DH moved in with me after 6 weeks. We've been together for 23 years now so I guess we knew what we were doing.
