LOL. Wow, that is not an easy game! I was not very good. I had a lot of fun and by the end of our session I did get better. I did not get winded after five minutes, but boy did I get winded! I didn't have any trouble with my grip. I guess those lessons you gave me Dr.Pig really paid off! I definitely want to play some more. I can't wait until I am good enough to compete (i.e. beat ;D) against my husband. I figure I will be ready to play against my friend in...oh maybe 8 or 9 years.

I have been following a 5k training schedule for the past 6 weeks and it has really helped me stay disciplined with my running and I have been running an average of 18 miles a week or so during that time. I ran a 5 miler and a 7 miler over the Memorial day weekend and last night I ran a 4 miler in 32:30. It felt very good and I was not pushing hard. I am feeling good about being able to hit my goal in a couple of weeks.

We did some circuit training in Kickboxing this week and at the push ups station I did 50 push-ups in 60 seconds. 14 were full push-ups then the rest were modified push-ups, because we weren't allowed to stop during the 60 seconds.
It's not that impressive, but I was clearing out some old paperwork and found the results of a fitness test from 2003 (when I was 26 and should have been at peak fitness) where I only managed 6 modified push-ups in 60 seconds! My bench press test with a 35lb barbell at the time was 14 reps max: I can now do over 100 reps with that weight.

Hey, if you went from 6 to 50 pushups, I would say that is impressive! Good job!

That's a fantastic time Archie! You've shaved about a minute off your time, which was already pretty impressive! (I've never managed a sub 25 minute 5K.) Are you aiming for 45 minute 10Ks now?

My next goal is a 1:40 half marathon in October. Of course the race is on my wife's due date, so we'll see if I actually get to run it.
