I've been manic since friday and it ain't fun. I've been cleanning everything in sight, I'm living in a house of garbage bags again. They are all over. I have cleaned out the house again and went to the garage and the large shed where I keep the christmas decorations, boy did I have a lot. I would boy stuff every year not knowing what I had in the shed. I had way over 9 bags of decorations in there ans I want to go threw it again.

Good Morning Friends Hi Weezy, Sparkle, anyone else who joins in this morning. I hope FFY does find her way here. I wonder where she could be. Maybe she'll post another message on the MSN dep. board to let everyone know. Sparkle, beautiful passion flower. You did say there are many varieties and this is one of the nicest. ohiok.com/img/yourspacecooment/meredo/goodday/62532mh74n8dpyt.jpg

sparkle, when you delete your post, you have to click 'modify post' to actually delete it. you will still see where your post was though, so you could add a note that it was a duplicate, or whatever.

Good Morning Sparkle, Moon, Weezy, and All Hope everyone has a good day today - it's Friday! One thing we would say on Fridays on the dep. board is what my attachment says (hope it shows). This was to remind us that we are all FABULOUS and help boost our spirits.

I love that shirt! I will have to find that for my friend! I practically stay manic so I can be a handful. Right now I have most everything pulled out so I can clean (manic and OCD are not good bedfellows) and once that cycle starts- oy vey! I just might have to go buy some coffee mate for the weekend! Weezy- I have a rule of thumb for my manic cycles. I know how long different stages of mania should last for me. Even with me constantly cycling- if I find my "manic motor" stuck- I get on the phone to the doctor- if I can't reach my psychiatrist, I call my therapist, if not her then my PCP- and get someone involved. Usually somebody can see me and a lot of times if the psychiatrist can't see me right away the therapist or PCP can send her all the notes she needs to decide if I need additional treatment or not. I know not everyone has this advantage- and most everyone who knows me knows that I "fire" doctors who don' play well with the rest of my treatment team. One time I had problems with being really manic suddenly, I could only get a sick call with my PCP and found out it was the cough syrup she had prescribed for the pneumonia I had. Simple fix. Switch me to Mucinex. The cough syrup was faster and more effective- but the alcohol and narcotics in it turned me into one seriously manic bear. Sorry if I rambled there a bit. Well, I had better get started o this housework...

mizbear I see my psyc doc on thursday I hope I last that long. My doc wont mess with the pills I'm on because he doesn't want to interfeere with what my pdoc is doing, So if I went to him now I wouldn't get any help from hi now. I just have to try and keep myself as down as I can.

A very fallish feel in the air.. I it though. Weez.. Are you feeling any more calmed yet? How long does it take to level out? I guess I'm asking the question properly.. I hope you feel better soon..

Fantastic board. Great to see people with open minds about depression/bi-polar as opposed to, "You don't have it THAT bad. Cheer up and get outside, you just need some sunshine."
Oh, it's that easy? Great!

Moon, I've sent an email to one of our members who I think can still post on the dep. board, hoping she can ask FFY where she is, and if she's here, what name she's using. Hopefully we can find her before they're shut down. There are others who haven't been back on the dep. board so unfortunately we couldn't get to everyone.

Good morning everyone, nalto, mizbear, I just heard yesterday that the wife of someone who has many symptoms of depression, actually said to him, "It's all in your head". I wonder if it's because people still don't recognize that depression is an actual illness. They think people with it can just snap out of it. It would be nice if there could be more understanding how serious it is, and get people help instead of wanting it to just "go away". Hi Twizz, good to see you here Wishing everyone a great weekend!

took a long hard look, at my life; lost my way, well I was fighting the time. a big black cloud, stormy sky followed me, while I ws living a lie. so heartless, so selfish, so in darkness when all your nights are starless. you're running outs hope; but Ifound the strenght inside to see, found the better part of me.. and I'll never let it go.

Good early evening, everyone.. Twizz, it is so good to see you. I hadn't been around for almost a couple days.. Depression sucks. I do like what Snerd said about pressing on.. It really is the only way to survive, to press on. Hope everyone is enjoying the evening.. Mine is quiet.

Good morning friends! Yesterdsy I went to pick up my order of New Mexico green chile. I was so happy! I had lost out last year on getting my chile order because of putting it off. Now i can make my salsa and my green enchilades. YAY! Not to take away from what today is Let us never forgot how precious life is and how things can change in a blink of an eye. One of the fallen, was from the town i live.He was was on one of planes that plowed in one of the towers.

I just finished watching the memorial service at ground zero. It was sad but again beautiful to hear the names of the fallen said out loud where some special messages were said during this from family members of the fallen. They showed other sites of the states where they had services going on and in canada . It was all so touchinng As the mayor said we are survivors, we keep going no matter what happens.

How did you first find out that you were depressed as opposed to just being overly stressed or tired. I am asking this question because I suspect that I get depressed at least couple of times a year. Where all I want to do is sit home and do nothing and things I would normally like and enjoy like hang out with my friends or going out for drinks/dinner or even answering the phone becomes too much of a bother. One thing that scared me now is that my mom mentioned yesterday how good I looked and how happy she was to see me working and enjoying life instead of locking my self in the room. When I asked what she was on about she told me about specific times where I didn't leave the house and all I did was read books or watch movies in my room. In my defense I was not working and my classes where online so I am not sure what I was supposed to be doing. But that is besides the point, I want to know if she was onto something and if I should go see someone even though the thought of seeing a shrink scares the hell out of me.

Hi everyone! Welcome home Just wanted to let you know that I've dealt with depression on and off for a while now, and will be keeping an eye out over here. I'm not a consistent poster, but thought I'd introduce myself in case I need or can offer a little support. Nadiya - It sounds to me like may be slightly depressed. I also think that EVERYONE can benefit from counseling. Maybe you could find a phych and discuss your situation. Even if you're not clinically depressed, I still think just the open discussion would help answer some of your questions and maybe give you another outlet. Good luck!
