I knew it would happen the week I benched Brady's ass for Flacco. Of course he had a monster week in fantasy. At least I still won my matchup.
The Cowboys are so annoying, I swear Romo perfected the art of choking.

They are saying Rodgers will be out 3 weeks.

I would have benched Brady the second week Gronk was back but Ravens had a bye. I still won though, Flacco got me enough at 17 to win.
Everyone always falls over themselves about Romo's numbers. Sure they are great but they haven't translated to important wins and playoff success. There was no way in hell that I was drafting Romo for my fantasy team. I have DeMarco Murray and I would have taken Jason Witten but someone beat me to him.

What do you guys think of Incognito? Scum of the NFL or the type of fiery guy that NFL teams need?

I think a lot of NFL players have issues that are hidden by the NFL, the NFLPA and their teams. We want players to be violent and forceful on the field and react fast, with a physical response. But they're supposed to switch that off a nanosecond after they're off the field. I know my responses don't work that way.
And I think the bullying, harassing, hazing, baiting, etc. in the NFL hits most teams at some level - just like targeting certain players/bounties most likely does. My Packers were busted for bounties about 5-8 years ago - I think the reward was dinner out and I don't remember hearing about money changing hands but it happened. I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate hazing/harassment and bounties unless the NFL AND the college systems clean house. And I don't think that's going to happen with the current commissioners for the NFL and college football.

My personal opinion is that he is scum. Am I deluded into thinking he's the only one? No. I'm sure every team has someone just like him or even worse. The guy's got a long history of being in trouble and on the wrong side of the law. He just happened to pick on someone who was slightly unstable and he got exposed.
I'm positive many teams are out there saying thank god that isn't us because they know it could be. Apparently that kind of talk isn't reserved for the guy lined up across from you.

What do you guys think of Incognito? Scum of the NFL or the type of fiery guy that NFL teams need? The coaches asked Incognito to toughen him up. I think he took it way too far. eta: Teammates Pouncey and Wallace said they love and respect Incognito and want him back on the team.

And Pouncey's being tied to Hernandez.
I think Incognito went a little far. I don't think he's unique. I think there are plenty of guys like him in the NFL. I doubt many people knew of Martin's issues. I would like to think if they knew he had issues, the coaches would have went a different route.
I think guys like Incognito are used to people giving it right back to them, brushing it off, etc. He didn't know when enough was enough with Martin. And for someone in a healthy emotional state, they would probably brush it off or go right back at Incognito but obviously Martin wasn't.

So he is a the type of fiery guys the NFL needs. I never said that. I said this is far more reaching than one guy picking on another. I have no idea what the norm is in an NFL locker room. I do not think it is right though.

I think there's a lot more to the story than meets the eye. Incognito has always been a punk, but I'm not 100% convinced it's not just "boys being boys" going too far, rather than bullying.
Something's fishy.

Something's fishy. I think there is a possibility it is boys cracking on each other. I think the problem came up when Martin wasn't in an emotionally healthy and stable place to deal with it. That being said I think Incognito probably is a jerk simply because he's had run ins and problems on every team he's ever played on.

Oh I totally agree he's a jerk. I just think that making him out to be public enemy #1 isn't accurate.

I think there are others just like him or worse. I mean Hernandez is being charged with multiple murders. He's a jerk but if Martin were emotionally healthy we probably never hear about this. I'm sure the other 31 locker rooms handle this kind of stuff in house all the time and we never know about it. To be clear I don't blame Martin for this. He removed himself from a situation he found intolerable and sought help.

Something's fishy. There is definitely way more to this story than we have heard. I agree that Incognito is a real jerk, but the media certainly went all out in their presentation of the situation. Apparently, Martin played the voice mail for the team and laughed about it. Also, the media left out the details that Martin and Incognito were friends and at the end of the message, Incognito said something like "see ya later bro". So, I am waiting for the all the details to come out. And no Archie, I don't think it is right to act like that. I also don't think it is right that media twists the story either.

I never said acting like a jerk was ok Archie. I simply said they are painting Incognito to be a monster and I don't think he is unique in NFL locker rooms. Guys rip on their friends and say horrible crap to them. I think its simply a case of Incognito doing that as usual and something changing in Martin's emotional state that caused him to respond as he did.

...I hear ya! ...we turned on the box scores at one point on Sunday and the Jags were winning, the Packers were losing, the Rams were shutting out the Colts... it was like the Twilight Zone or something... so we quickly got some extra cookies out in case a wormhole opened...

Just saw where Tod Christensen died. He was only 57. One hell of a tight end for the Raiders!!

Good for you for being a real fan. You have to watch out for those fake ones. It is painful watching the Ravens. The O-line couldn't block against a kindergarten class, Ray Rice can't run and Joe is either getting knocked on his butt or running for his life. Misery loves company!

Monroe was an upgrade over McKinnie, but it didn't help because just about everyone else on the line is just awful. Even our pro-bowler, Yanda is missing blocks. It is the new stupid blocking scheme they are using. They just can't execute it. How frustrating watching them do the same stupid things over and over again. They better beat the Jets! Have fun at the game.

Hawks are getting their 3 starting OL back to practice today, along with starting DL, AND Percy Harvin.
Look out NFL.
