On hip2save today: "Wowie!! Here’s yet another *HOT* Walgreens deal you may be able to score! Currently, when you buy one Gatorade 20 oz beverage priced at $1.70, you will get back a Catalina coupon valid for a FREE Gatorade Prime AND one FREE Gatorade Recover!
Even sweeter, once you redeem your FREE Gatorade Prime and FREE Gatorade Recover coupon, you will get back yet another Catalina coupon valid for another FREE Gatorade Prime and FREE Gatorade Recover! Wowie!! (Thanks, Wild for Wags & Meredith!)"Apparently the price is lower than $1.70 in some stores too. Just an FYI - I tried this today and it didn't work. Mine was priced at $1.69 and I didn't get anything.

WAGs this a.m.: I went early to get the cheap planters peanutbutter, as we have a shelf cleaner in my area. I was there as soon as they opened the door, I was able to buy the PB, the m&ms, and the carmex. However, I had to ask about the carmex as it was still in the back on it's little cardboard display. I was able to roll some $3 RR that expire this week, so I feel good to be done with WAGs this week. Also, I forgot to mention that I finally found the Keri at another town's WAGs, although the manager tried to give me grief about the raincheck, and I explained to her how hard I had to work to get that one (on top of how long I had to wait for her to come to the front of the store to fulfill my raincheck ) and she backed down, but I am glad I was able to find it before the $5 RR stopped printing. Y'all have a nice sunday! Reeneejune: Your coupons will be in tomorrow's mail.

Thank you Misspt! And Meli! My mom taught me to bargain shop/coupon shop when I was very, very young (back when grocery outlet still took manufacturer's coupons! and food stamps were actual slips of paper!) so it feels good to have it come full circle like this.

Kitty, thanks for the pistachio coupons. Perfect timing as Krogers appears to have them on sale. ;D

renee- Will check for beneful qs in my stash.
I am still picking coupons up where everything dumped during the earthquake and then flew everywhere when I opened the windows to take advantage of the breeze this morning.
I am going to check with DB to see if he has dry coupon inserts. The papers sent him (and not-so-darling-father) out in the hurricane to deliver papers. I find that totally irresponsible and unconscionable. I'm sorry- no offense to anyone- I can wait an extra day or three for my coupons!

I didn't pick up a newspaper until 9 pm today, but I'm glad I got it. Overall the Qs were kinda meh, but there were a couple I got excited about. The biggie for me is the Blue Diamond Nut Thins. OMG those are yummy, and I eat a ton of them every spring when I go wheat free for allergy season.

Morning everyone! Happy to report that Irene safely passed my family and I by without any major damage. My parents had some minor flooding but other than that, we're all ok. Hope all the other East Coast folks are doing ok too!

reneejune: I have some of those Beneful q's for you. PM me and I'll get them out today. Do you want the Beneful Snackin Slices q too? (same insert). Anything else you need?
meli-beach: The wet food q's are good until 11/1. Are you sure you don't want more? If you change your mind, PM me. Any other q's you need?

Q request: If any of you are not going to use the $3 Dr. Scholl's q that was in some papers yesterday, I could sure use them. We put these in all DH's and DS's shoes. DS needs the extra gel support and DH's tootsies get tired without them as he is on his feet all day when working weddings, banquets, etc.. Have to take care of his bread and butter!
As usual, this q did not appear in my paper but I know it's out there.
Thanks.

HOUND ALERT: If anyone has any extra of the $2/2 Motts Applesauce cups from the Safeway/Vons/Dominicks MDA booklets, I have a rain check for them. If the booklets were ever available at my Safeway, I missed them; but I have looked for them EVERY TIME that I have been in there since we first heard about them. murphath: YEAH!! I have another coupon that someone else needs!! I got the Dr. Scholl's so if you need more, please send me a PM. I can get some off to you quick like a bunny.

I went to WAGs today. I was planning on getting (2) Blistex and use the RRs to get eggs and cream cheese. They had ONE in the store. They said they expect to get more on Wednesday. We'll see. Then I went to CVS and got the St. Joe's asprin. Geez, that was exciting.

leanna: That's interesting because I always have to make sure the $5 comes off--have to watch the computer screen like a hawk. Twice it only came off as .01 and they had to reimburse me. The Safeway system is whacky. I can never tell if the q is being deducted or not. The recap on the bottom gives the savings for Just4U, Club Card and paper q's. But the running receipt (upper part) will show the detail from Just4U and Club Card and paper q's--just not that darn $5/$15 thing. It's aggravating.
Dancinmama: You have a PM. I haven't made it down to CVS for the St.Joe's yet. Somehow it hasn't inspired me to walk down the hill!

via EE- 973beachbum is ok. Thanks for posting it for me. I was soooo frazzled when I got home to post in more than one place. Our home is fine. Some downed tree limbs and lots of junk everywhere but no damage and it is high and dry. The areas around my county seem to be totally swamped though. So driving the last 20 miles home took over 2 and a half hours. Now I have to unpack everything I packed in plastic bins and baggies. I swear it will take weeks to get everything put away. I know that as much work as this is it is still the absolute best outcome I could have hoped for. Thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes.

beach- Luckily there were check in threads on a couple of forums, so I knew where to look for you. Glad you are safe. I was worried. I think that this is a good idea for those of us that are close or live alone to have a "check in buddy" in case of natural disaster. (If nothing else I'll drop an envy in the mail to a GC gal!) I have fewer and fewer family around so for me at least this is important. DB says he is sorry ladies but unless I can dig some out of the very bottom of his trunk, most of his leftover inserts were soaked by Irene over the weekend. He said I am welcome to anything I can salvage, but he tried to salvage a paper for a neighbor who is actually on my father's route so he would not have to come out and replace the wet paper and had to disect several papers and re-assemble to get one good dry paper (but they both got a tip- my father for calling DB who lives across the street to get a paper to him and my DB for going out in the rain to take him a paper- he was going to wait until it was dry for his paper )

murpath - Sadly I didn't get the Dr. Scholls Q. check in buddies - This is so important, natural disaster or no. I nearly had to report my Aunt missing once because we couldn't find her, no one had heard from her in 2 days, and she wasn't answering her phone. It turned out she had been called out on an emergency care giving job and worked 48 hours without her phone charger, medications, etc. You can bet I was one worried girl trying to track her down! I even called the hospitals and the jail!

Used 4$ Up from transaction 1 + 27 cents and tax and got back 2$ Up for mitchum and will get back 2.99 SCR for the Oral B TB and I am done for the week.
