Hello Ladies! I will be taking over the $50K - $100K Club! I plan to do the updates every other Sunday the same as I do with the $100K List. I see many familiar faces so hopefully you are used to, and like my update format. I am doing one update this week, just to get all my sheets together, and then I will do another one next week and every 2 weeks after that. Please let me know if you need me to change anything. Race on ladies! $3,540.86 paid off since the last update! One Leapfrog, Wudnit from the Northeast jumping 3 spots!! www.notmsnmoney.proboards.com/thread/11190/wirr-50-100k-club?page=4#scrollTo=1738787

It has been a while since i've been on here, but I thought i'd update and see how everyone is!
We refinanced our mortgage to a 20 year fixed at 3.75% so that's why its a bit higher than last time.
ambellamy W 10/10/2013 $111,501.18 ($127,176.40)
(I think my tags correct)...

Thanks shanendoah. Its been pretty interesting in our neck of the woods. My husband got a full time job a few months ago and I finally got that long awaited promotion at work so we are currently trying to figure out what to do with our money because we aren't really used to having any, lol... but now that were on a 20 year mortgage at 3.75% we aren't sure if we should be paying our mortgage down, or starting to invest.

UPDATE dsunshine 10/12/2013 $15,726.27 (1/30/2011 $42,344.29 WPT8, WPT50) Debt | Int Rate | Start | Previous | Current | % Paid off | DiscPL | 9.99% | $19,799.28 | $12,176.68 | $11,899.59 | 39.90% | Sterling PL | 4.56% | $6,662.88 | $3,965.49 | $3,826.68 | 42.57% | CC1 | 12.24% | $14,428.14 | $0.00 | $0.00 | 100.00% | CC2 | 16.24% | $1,453.99 | $0.00 | $0.00 | 100.00% | Total | | $42,344.29 | $16,142.17 | $15,726.27 | 62.86% | |
Looking at my spreadsheet for the last year I noticed I only spent 3 months in the 16K range. I only paid $105 in interest on the DiscPL this month, so that should be going down by over $200 per month now. That feels really good. Can't wait to see the 10 but that might not be until January or February. School has started and I am liking it. I have enough money to have no job for a couple of months but need to find one before then so I don't completely run out of money. I'll try to check in monthly to post, hope everybody is doing well.

Very happy that savings managed to go up this month, even with paying for C's school this quarter and loaning the roommate the money he needed to get YNAB up and running now. (He'll be paying us back.) On some level, it's hard to see all that money sitting in savings and not pay off my student loans, but we're saving for a down payment on a larger house next summer, and my severance package ends this month, so our savings rate is about to drop considerably.
We've made some recent changes, dropping the physical DVDs from our Netflix package and dropping cable TV and phone. We've had to pick up the phone from a different company (as a foster home, we are legally required to have a land line), and we bought a digital antenna and signal booster, but that's a one time cost. We're going to be paying about $90/month for internet and phone, which is down from $215/month with cable TV.

I am so close to my wish of being at 21K (or below) by next year. I can almost taste it.
It is nice that people are coming back from "vacation" on the boards. I was starting to hear crickets.
Everyone keep on trucking and eventually we will cross the finish line.

I'm not sure if anyone announced it but our Southern Dixies have been doing a great job eliminating debt. Between September and October we've had 3 winners: DeepinTx, Ffflex, and our newest, Goalofzero.
Come on over to our board and share in the celebration!

One Step Closer 10/22/13 $3,368.03 (12/10; W210)
BOOM!!!!!! I finally landed a job....one that could turn into a career if I do it right. Of course I am starting at the bottom position, but I can see myself working my way up.
I got all three credit reports finally, and I owe tons less then I thought I did. Do to my divorce I am starting a whole new race with just my own debt, THANK GOD! But before I start that, I need to save up and get my own vehicle - since right now I am sharing with my dad. Makes for a lot of time at home, but at least he is willing to share with me.
So, here it is. I have to admit, this race, it really isn't much - but its all mine!

Update
My race is done! I have paid off all $40,000+ of my credit card debt! rosebud30: 10/28/13 $0.00 (8/7/08 $40,810 W349)It took just over 5 years, 2 periods of unemployment (one lasting 6 months due to the recession, one lasting over a year due to my father's passing), a little help from my mom by using her 0% balance transfer offers, a few missteps of retail therapy, an ex-fiance, a new boyfriend (who I now own a house with!), A LOT of time working on my numbers, and considerable patience, diligence, and support. This was sooo hard in the beginning, watching every penny I spent, watching the numbers barely inching lower, beginning to see progress and then having to take steps back...but that's life, and life doesn't stop because we're trying to win a debt race. Then I began to really see the numbers go down as snowballing really began to work. And I'm finally here!
