It "should be," but it isn't. I can't find the latest update. It is not appearing on the page that it the post links to.

Wudnit, the link didn't work for me either. But just go to the $50-100k thread, and it's all appearing okay there. The last post is the newest update.

sorry I didn't get back in here after my last update....I thought I had. I have good news - I'm finally listing my place!! my listing goes live in MLS next Friday, 4/26. basically, about 3 weeks ago I checked in with the realtor I'll be listing with. I said that I'd seen prices ticking upwards, and would she mind re-running the numbers for me? she found an end unit in my complex that was way overpriced - higher than my own purchase price 7 years ago (today, actually) and that if I didn't mind waiting a couple weeks to see if that one had any bites, we could be good to go. well, it went under agreement for very close to asking price. I'll be listing at a price that, if I get it, will let me walk away with about $10k after commission, mortgage payoff and fees. please keep your fingers crossed for me! as far as the tax appointment went, I made out like a bandit. I was able to write off all of what I'd had to pay for the escrow snafu. I got just over $4000 back, all of which went back into savings. between that and my bonus this year, my savings balance is back up to where it was before Murphy decided to visit last fall. thanks for the reassurance that bulking up savings was a good idea. whatever proceeds I get out of selling my place will also go into savings, where it will stay until that last 0% BT offer is about to reset. it should be under $6k by that point, since I'm throwing $100/month at it now.

Morning all and happy Friday! Just finished paying my last bill for the month so I'm doing well. Have no plans for tonite but it's been a fun-filled week so I'm not worried about it. My momma came down to visit me this past weekend and picked up the cat (I've been cat-sitting for two months since my folks left on a month long tour of New Zealand and Australia) and she stayed a few extra days. I gave her her mother's day gifts early - a really nice dinner and an all day trip to a spa. Was lovely! I didn't even mind sleeping on the couch! Kinda miss the kitty though - he was always my favorite and adored me. Gotta love that feeling of coming home and being adored. The 5am meowing and licking the face thing, though, don't miss quite as much! She stayed an extra day and got to hang out in Baltimore's Inner Harbor and local neighborhoods. Was lovely weather and very calm. Here are my numbers. Next month I will breach through the $9K mark. WOOHOO! Oh, and I got another zero this month. The others will take a bit longer to get there. But I'm still trucking! Hope everyone's well and that anyone with family/friends in Boston has been accounted for and is well. I had 5 cousins running, and one other cousin who lives there. Everyone's reported in well and safe. Heartvolunteer: 4/19/13 = $9,110.17 (4/30/08 $15,351.37, NE75 )

I am still not able to see the latest 50-100K list. The latest update that is appearing when I go to that Board is a January update and per the above post, it was updated recently. I will give it another try in a day or two, but if it still doesn't work, I'm going to give up.

Wudnit, I'm not sure why you're having so much trouble with that. I can see all the updates, including your post #109 and the most recent update #110. You might talk to moonbeam if you're having some kind of technical glitch. Because it's all there, I can scroll through the whole thread including the whole last page.

Wudnit, I copy/pasted the table from the 50-100 club, it's not as neat and pretty as the chart, but it shows you the information you need . . . it's also the most recent.
Have you tried to reload WIRR and NOT use any bookmarks? I would try that, go to the home page and click on the 50-100 club. Just a thought.

EF = $306.03$7644.96 of the balance of CC#1 is at 0% until October. My LOC is still my Emergency Fund for at least another couple of months while I build an actual Emergency Fund. The good news is that I have transferred money into a savings account that is designated as the Emergency Fund. I have also reduced my monthly credit card interest expense from $455.38 in September to $74.27 last month by using 0% interest balance transfers! Each transfer cost me 3%, but I make back the fee in reduced interest expenses within a couple of months. My budget is coming along. It's not complete, but I have all of my fixed expenses and my expenses that come up once or twice a year (like Auto Insurance) in it. I have to nail down my food budget still. At least I have a much better budget than I had six weeks ago. I hope to be under $300K by my next update. -movinonup

Thanks Lark. I tried to delete the second post that is actually an accidental re-posting of last month's post, but it said that the quoted post was deleted. I am not sure how I managed that. Just ignore reply #3135. I guess this is the last time I try quoting an old post to reuse some of the information in the table. I will have to figure out some other efficient way to post my table.

Update Crisde2bdebtfree—4/25/2013—$15,935.97--(8/31/2010 $16,834 NEU286) Long Island NY
Ok--not a great update at all—my balances went up since last month. I am still waiting on my first paycheck from my new job they hold one back so I have not had a paycheck in a month. I know that really is no excuse. I have to admit I have made bad money decisions this month—broke out the charge cards and went on a shopping spree—new clothes for new job. I am now promising myself I will be good.

Another backwards update. Adding my Lasik credit card to the list. I'm feeling a bit panicked about all of the debt and even made a list of when I can buy the things I "want": May -- True Blood 5th season and motorcycle helmet June -- haircut and new glasses July, August + September -- Lasik pay down/off October -- haircut and 1 new pair of jeans January -- two new shirts for my p-t job Unknown -- sunglasses So here goes! Debt | Beginning | Previous | Current | Diff | % Paid | Truck | $21,125 | $21,125 | $21,125 | $0 | 0.00% | Motorcycle | $14,511 | $14,263 | $14,263 | $0 | 1.71% | Lasik | $3,990 | $0 | $3,990 | $3,990 | 0.00% | Total | $39,626 | $35,388 | $39,378 | $3,990 | 0.63% |
Lucy 4-29-2013 $39,378 (3-18-2013 $39,626 NE 102) Lucy, when I first started, it took me awhile to 1) admit I had the debt, and 2) find all of it! Don't panic. What it means is not that you're sliding backwards - what it means is, you are challenging yourself. And you know what? You will win this contest!

Update:
antevasin: 5/1/13 $99,510.85 (8/20/08 $210,000.00 NE100)
Total balance paid: $110,489.15
Total percentage paid: 52.61% Total percentage remaining: 47.39%
So far so good... I actually took the opportunity to re-adjust and contribute $40/month a little more to paying down the debt. Keep heading down the right track and every little bit helps. Inching closer to 55% of the debt being paid off!

I'm not sure what the issue is but this site locks my computer up everytime I access it -- this has been the case for several months regardless of the computer I'm using.
And now i can't just cut and paste my tables into a post without reformatting everything. Unfortunately, Its become too time consuming for me to continue to visit here.
GOOD LUCK to all of you in your pursuits of becoming debt free!!!
I wish you all wealth, health and abundance! ravenhaired, it would be a shame to see you go. Have you tried using a different browser? I use Firefox. To save time reformatting the table, maybe you can post just your totals, like antevasin does. -movinonup

mourningcloak (Race 2): 5/1/13 $176,852 (1/10/11 $165,413 NPT5) Well it's getting bad. Half of the increase was the honeymoon. Spent way too much. but hubby's a little more on board to getting this paid done. Monday will bring furlough notices, so we've gone to only paying minimums this month. I'll lose more than my mortgage each month for almost 4 months. Nothing I can do but just get through it and refocus on debt pay down afterwards. We've worked on reducing some expenses and I think I can request reduced payments on a few things. I can claim a financial hardship and withdraw money from my retirement. At my age (30), that wouldn't be the end of the world and we might go that route over maxing out the credit card. We'll see. We have one month to decide, almost two months before the first pay that is actually affected by the furloughs.

Well, I may as well admit it: in December, I took out a Payday Loan.
:: cringe ::
My child needing to keep a roof over her head pretty much helped drain what little was left of my savings, and to fix my front steps and take care of a couple of other small issues that had cropped up, I thought, well, it will only take me 2-3 months, I can do this, so - I borrowed $1,200.00.
And I paid off $500 January 1st. And in the 8 days that had elapsed - EIGHT, mind you! - I had accrued nearly $200 in interest!
Bottom line, I actually paid it off April 15. That $1,200, paid back, was $1,793.00. December 23 through April 15. Less than 4 months. You got it. Nearly 50% total in interest, 11 weeks.
They actually wanted me to carry it out for 15 months. To the tune of $4,698, total.
Friend of mine is working to get Payday loans made illegal in Philadelphia. But I pointed out to him, I got this from a bank in Nevada, online. They can be illegal for our banks, but people have the internet...

, Lark! I'm glad to hear you got rid of it as fast as you could. u n me both... I was just flabbergasted at the interest rate to begin with, but then when I paid it off and tallied up what they made from me - EEK! I guess not actually having credit at my disposal like I used to, paying things off... it was pretty much a shock!

Well, they seem to think the reason I cannot view the 50-100K list is because I'm using an out of date browser. UGH!!! I won't be updating as I wouldn't even know how. I'm clueless when it comes to computers, so I won't be able to view those lists any more. If anyone wants to let me know where I stand on the list at any given point, it would be appreciated!!
I believe I'm the highest on the list. My plan is to be off the list by August 2014, which would be a lot less time than I was on the 100+ list!!
I have decided that I will not be using the windfall towards debt (or at least not initially). I'm looking into investment options. I will up mine and my husband's Roths, will be giving money to our children, and then will make decisions from there. Our debt at this point is low interest mortgages (4.75, 3.75, and 2.99). Most of our money at this point is going toward the principal on the two higher loans. We should have our next "0" in 12 months. I'm going to keep my eye on the prize and keep plugging away, paying an additional $1,500 per month toward principal which is what I have been doing when I can. If all goes well, next year we will see a "0" in May and another in December. Then we will be down to one loan which would be paid the following year. I'm figuring 31 months left of loan payments. Seems daunting, but I've been at this awhile, so I'm use to it. I'm starting to feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

-movinonup Movinonup -- updating the browser seemed to have done the trick ... thanks much!

Woohoo!!! I finally figured out how to make a pretty table for all my numbers. I'm such a computer idiot Last month we refinanced our mortgage for a much lower rate and its going to save us $340 a month. That will be a huge help in giving us more breathing room every month. I am feeling much better about things now and so far we have been keeping on track with the new budget. It still makes me sick thinking about how we got ourselves in this mess BUT we will dig ourselves out. Happy racing everyone! Total % paid: 11.669% Goals: Be under $45,000 by October 1 Increase EF to $2,000
