rural area? I live in a rural area. I have no neighbors nearby. I can ride on my MX track and pee outside without bothering anybody. I love where I live.

I'm in a close suburb of Philadelphia. Takes no time to get there, but I don't have to pay the resident wage tax! Though the wage tax I pay for working there isn't exactly fun.

Where do you live? City, suburb, small town I guess we are in a small town (about 85,000). It's about 4 hours to a city (Dallas), which you couldn't pay me to drive in. To another town our size, maybe an hour or two (if you actually follow the speed limit). That can be cut down a lot if you don't bother with the speed limit. It's not like the police can hide behind trees around here.....No trees between towns.

Small(ish) city. I've always lived in cities except when I was a young child. Love it!

I live in the burbs outside of New York City. I worked in NYC for years and the commute wasn't bad. I have the best of both worlds. The city is exciting, but I can have peace and quiet on a weeknight.

Suburban neighborhood in a small commuter town outside of a big city. One of those places that can't make up its mind.

I must have a different idea of a small town than everyone else too. I live down the shore in a town that has 19000 in the summer and it feels majorly crowded! The other 9 months of the year we only have about 5000. Most of the town is pinelands Forrest so I would call it pretty rural. 85,000 is a city to me. I have no idea how that is a small town.

I feel the same way. I live in a small town, granted it's part of a cramped major metropolitan area, but small town indeed. Maybe it's all how the town/area is set up? Where we live it's a bunch of small towns on top of the other with a lot of businesses and residential areas that are mixed together, there really aren't many areas that are cul-de-sacs or developments.

The bigger city we live near is right around 2 million, and it bleeds right into San Francisco which is another 4.5 million or so. When you live within an hours drive of five million people, 35k is small.

FWIW, I caution anyone thinking about revealing personal information to a bunch of strangers to carefully consider whether the potential benefit of such action exceeds the potential cost.
I know for sure that too many wrong people know too much about me because I didn't follow my own advice.
