HOUND ALERTIf anyone has the coupons for the Lumene for the CVS deal this week I would appreciate them. They were the $4 Lumene Product MC (exp 8/15/2011) from the 6/19/2011 SS The deal is spend $20 get a $5 ECB back and you can use the $5/$20 in skin care coupon with it. I didn't get it at all in my paper. PS thanks to everyone, Sealy, Bluesclues, P8nt, Mizbear and Constanz, who sent me envies last week!

I got my second free food item ;D. They were popsicles for .99 and I had a .50 coupon that doubles. Well they only added .49 each so I would not get an overage but oh well. I am excited.

What? You didn't get that penny in overage? LOL...Now you know you are a true couponer by the fact that you mentioned that!

"I did not get it either. Will you be able to use your CRT past the date at your store. I got one of those Qs last night and it expires today. " I didn't scan my card yet, so I didn't get the coupon yet. But the last time they had one of these with the $3 off $10 of pain relievers or some such I never did that deal but went in a bunch of times for other stuff and the red machine kept spitting out that same coupon. It was like an egg timer. My coupons this week were horrible. The red plum ones didn't come in the mail and the paper had the SS but it was really small and most of it was ads with very few actual coupons. I didnt even get a CVS or Rite Aid ad in the darn thing. Who knows maybe it will come together at CVS. I am trying to get out of CVS's game but a few things worked out to make me buy more there this week. I got 4 bottles of maalox for $2.97 after coupons and ECB's and they gave me $10 in ECB's back. DH uses it. Then I bought 2 cans of Gilette shaving cream, using 2 cards, for .47 each with tax and they gave me $2.00 each time. I just had to do those deals right?

See this was the problem, I let my DH do it so I could run and do something else in the store and he did not know to run the coupons THEN the store loyalty card. It was my mistake for not telling him to do it that way, but I thought it knew .

If anyone needs a coupon- gmail or PM me (I think I am on the docs). I will be away from the boards a lot because the decluttering at DGMs has swung into full gear- the windows are in and we have found out that she has had another stroke nd she now has emphysema... We need an emoticon for running around in circles...

frugalsuz - i've been meaning to reply to you but haven't had time. last year i just SB'd 'slickdeals' & from the home page searched 'school supplies'. i just went in to look & there isn't any kind of list like last year. i used the 'by date' filter & went back 1 year using the 'hot topics' tab. i found that it was Empress & she would title it 'Back to School Savings this week 8/1/10 - 8/8/10.' she would put up the pricing for EVERY store - kmart, WM, target, WAGS, office depot, office max, staples, CVS, RA, & even big lots if they advertised school supplies. that list was THE most helpful to comparison shop the best prices for supplies.

Ok, very strange transaction at Rite Aid today. I'm not exactly sure HOW it happened, but my total came to -.01 and they GAVE me the penny back My total was something like 5.29, but .30 was tax. I asked if I could use a $5 Up (I've had pretty good luck with the register taking them, if they are close, even cutting into the tax a few cents). She took it, and it erased the tax and she owed me a penny! Ok...works for me! I used a $5 Up and only got $3 Up back, but, I got stuff I needed, so, it was good for me. And TOTALLY free! I was really counting on getting a survey and even did a second small $1 transaction and didn't get a survey on either It's a new store and they were doing their grand opening so I though for sure they'd be giving out lots of surveys...bummer...

Beach and leanna,
Tried the nature valley /cheerio/fiber one deal on my way home from work. Got 2 cheerios and 2 nature valley thins. I also got 2 snackwell bars. Used 2x.60 nature valley coupons. 2x .50 honey nut cheerio coupons and 2x .75 snackwell coupons. Spend $6.60 and got a $2 cat, a$3 cat and the milk cat. I would have gotten a $1 cat but cashier saw it and used it. So not bad. I'm heading back for the snackwells tomorrow. The guys at work managed to clean out the snacks in my lower draw while I was away this weekend. So it works. Just waiting to hear from my second email to the cat people to see if I can get the others from my other transaction.

I think they may have discontinued them. I haven't seen one in @ 3 weeks. Darn it! I did get a $4/$20 grocery purchase CRT at CVS today so did the following: 1 Folgers coffee $3.50 1 Fillipo olive oil $3.99 1 pkg. Nutter Butter cookies $2.50 4 pkg. M&M pretzel: $3.19 1 Red licorice: $1.00 2 Kettle potato chips: $5.00 3 Honest Tea: $3.00 Minus: 3/$1 Honest Tea q's $1 Folgers q 2/$1 Kettle chips q's $1 Fillipo olive oil q .75 red licorice CRT q .75 m&m q $4/$20 grocery purchase $9.79 EB's (expiring today!!) Total OOP: $1.17 I wanted to get milk but believe it or not, they were out of the 1%!!! So I got the m&m's instead--they're as nutritious as milk, right?? Leanna, if you buy two of the snackwells at 2 for $5 they give you a $1 cat. If you buy 2 bars only for the 2 for $5 you get the $1 and a $3 cat for buying 2. If you do one snack and one bar you will get the $1 cat and an addtional $1 for buying a box of bars. Looks like the second cat goes into aug. $1 when you buy one box of bars and $3 when you buy 2. Hope that helps.

I got a RA survey last week. So did BFF, but they definitely are slowing down. I'll probably cut way back on my RA deals once the 3/15 is gone.

Remember the 5$/25 - we all thought we would not do too many deals after it's demise, but somehow almost all the shopping that I have done is at RA this year and so far they have paid me 10$ after all I have spent and I am close to getting to gold level. SO who knows - maybe something else will come after the 3$/15.

I went to Walmart today to check out some stuff. The closest one is 20 miles away , so we used to go there once in 6 months and stock up on some stuff. I have not been there since I started to do the DS deals from last year. But I was shocked at the prices there - everything was expensive and only their walmart brand was comparatively cheap. Everything we get at the drugstores was priced even higher.
Is this normal or is it only our area that is high, since we have a lot of competition for walmart?

I bought 3 chickens for 69 cents a pound from Von's this week. I am making 1 for dinner this week, and two went in the freezer.

Murpath There are just some cashiers (and even store mgrs) that are just too dumb and/or lazy to do anything that requires them to think or do a bit of extra work. I certainly would STOP shopping at that WAG if I had ANY other choice. I have 3 in my town alone and only 1, which is 1 mi off my travel pattern, has cashiers/mgr who works w/customers. It is worth it to me since this is the SAME store that always has the RR items, even on the last day of the ad.
Beachbum There was NO Red Plum this week. CVS stopped putting their ad in my home mailer months ago. They appear to have redirected their ad $$ to tv here.
Saveinla I, too, find Wal Mart more $$ than watching for sales s/coupons elsewhere.

SO who knows - maybe something else will come after the 3$/15. I haven't had but 2 surveys this month. They are definitely slowing down. I have $5.00 in UPs that expire this Saturday and I need to really look close at the ad to see how to spend it. A lot of the things I thought would be 75% off this week were not included in their seasonal sale. I did get a Black & Decker long trowel for a little over a dollar. I was ready to throw in the towel at CVS but their deals plus rainchecks have kept me in the game. They are now trying to encourage customers to do surveys via phone and I have to bring the receipt in for a store drawing.
