regarding elections

Well, it seems that not as many people were interested in modding as I had hoped. Unfortunately, in order to have a true election, I needed to have at least double the number of people that applied. Due to that, all of the candidates on each board who indicated they were interested will be appointed.

Ok.. so here are the results of my (unintended) non-election

Anyone who actually thought there were going to be "elections" obviously didn't read the part where it said moon and the other mods were going to pick whoever the hell they wanted...and what a surprise, that's just what happened...

Good thing. Otherwise posters would have to take personal responsibility when they are total assholes and the moderators call them on it. This way they can continue to whine, "Poor picked on little me."

Thats not true ed..any one she would have put up for Moderator would have been eligible..if some one , OK lets say I had contacted her, or you had contacted her and we said we would like to be considered for moderator..she probably would have sent back a thanks but no thanks boys , have a nice day..just a example ed so don't get bent out of shape..thus we would not be on the list of candidates..however if she had come back with a ok..good luck boys,..then we would be on the list and the best man wins.

It seems to few put in for the positions..which is not surprising, it limits your way of being a poster, you really can't let your self go when you are a moderator , no matter that supposedly you are allowed the wearing two hats.

We saw that for the last year..occasionlly a moderator posted a bit more then pablum on a topic, he p off some one ready to cry to momma, being picked on, not fair..help us from this bad man and I am betting many do not want that limitation in their posting.

So I am assuming the ones who applied to run, are acceptable to moon, it is her property, so yes she has final say..like the military ed , you remember, it defends a Democracy, it is not a democracy..just he way the cookie crumbles.

if she was hoping for a # to have as moderators and if only that # applied..why have a election..all the slots are filled..with no one left over..election, moot.

Your not complaining about mods already ed are you?..we don't even know who they are..suggest let her announce them first ...THEN start the bitching. ;D

ed, the problem i ended up with was that I wanted to place 4 new people in here. but i only GOT 4 people that responded.. So what am i supposed to do there? how do i have an election when there aren't more people than i need to begin with?

i did not "choose" anyone who did not apply, nor did i turn away anyone who was interested.

as to who they are, you'll have to wait until i get to work now..
