Why are people still talking about this when it has been debunked. Palin told the truth. Little known truth, but it is the truth. Hard to believe such an unbelievably stupid woman ((sigh)) could know more than the jerks that follow her around to catch her showing her stupidity, but it seems this time she was right. GO, SARAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, it was certainly not "debunked". She was incorrect, and then then she didn't even have the humility to admit she was wrong. Nobody needs to follow her around either. She's on the freaking 6 o'clock news.

Listening to NPR on my ride home last night heard some historian describe how Palin did a fine job of explaining Revere's ride. They did make a bit of fun of her for attempting to turn the ride into a 2nd Amendment dicsussion, but the history guy was pretty funny about it all IMO.

I actually feel for Palin on this one. It's one of the hazards of being a little too well informed. You end up saying things that sound ridiculous the majority who are completely ignorant.

So Revere rode through town ringing bells and shooting to warn the Brits that colonists were armed? ... “warned the British that they weren’t gonna be taking away our arms, by ringing those bells and making sure, as he’s riding his horse through town, to send those warning shots and bells that we were gonna be secure and we were gonna be free.”

Oh c'mon you cannot be serious.. I read what Sarah said and played the video of her answer to a question "What did you learn here in Boston?"...her answer was something that I never learned in grammar school but then again the Nuns and I did not have a very good relationship for eight years...

I was listening to Doug McIntyre last night and some guy called up who lives in Lexington, MA, and he went into a long drawn out and intricated detailed explanation of the Paul Revere and William Dawes rides. Bottom line is Palin was more right than wrong.

I had trouble with warning the British and firing shots and clanging bells...but maybe that was dicussed by the Nuns at Blessed Sacrament Grammar School in Jamaica Plain MA when I was locked in the broom closet for being a wiseass or getting into a fist fight with some bully ??

Maybe there will be some liberal posters here that are local to the area and have made fun of Palin the past few days that will retract their comments, or at least admit that they are the ones that do not fully know the history of Paul Revere. I'm not liberal, but I can admit it. Apparently I'm not alone.

You are not alone. I didn't know the full history myself, other than the small bits we learned in school.
However, this is not the first time that the liberal media has run with a story that was incorrect when it comes to Palin. Fortunately, this time it was something minor and stupid, like the accuracy of Paul Revere's story.
Last time it was the incorrect assertion that Palin was at fault for the Giffords shooting; something that was quickly proven false after an evaluation of the shooter.
I'm too young to know, has there ever been integrity in journalism or is this a relatively new phenomonon due to the information age and rushing to get a story out instead of facts straight?
I'm not a Palin fan, but you've got to hand it to her - she has the liberal media all twisted, which will natually decrease the focus leading up to 2012 on any real candidate that may emerge for the GOP. Brilliant strategy, regardless of whomever came up with it.

The same Paul Revere House that Patrick Leehey works for:
Or, from a BU history professor:
Perhaps her delivery was not the best in people's opinion but that's irrelevant to whether she was accurate.
We've seen two liberals in the area with historical knowledge of the event reluctantly concede to the accuracy of her statements, however "lucky" it may have been.
Pants down - it's okay, we all do it. Just man up and move on people.

Dang I wish she'd just get some coaching. It would save her so-o-o-o-o-o much trouble and spare people the pain of having to listen to the jumbled Palinisms that tie her sentences into indecipherable knots. She could freaking do it online. www.communication-skills.info/elocution-lessons.shtmlIt pisses me off that she won't improve herself in such a simple and effective way after being given such a remarkable opportunity to promote her values in a world that really needs good moral leadership. I just emailed Rush asking him to suggest elocution lessons to Palin. I hope he does. Think what a difference it would make.

In a way, I'm a lot like that and that is one of the things I respect about her....keep it real. I've always had the attitude that this is me...if you don't like what you see, turn your azz around and don't look. Of course, I'm not doing my best to remain if full, public view, either. Even I can admit that the "keep it real" modus operandi does not bode well in the political arena.

Even I can admit that the "keep it real" modus operandi does not bode well in the political arena. Some promotions in business life require changes. Some people have to learn a new language in order to be promoted. Some people need to get wardrobe assistance in order to fill a new role. Some people take elocution lessons as they move into management positions. It is just an ordinary part of corporate life. Self-improvement. There's nothing mysterious about it. Palin has been able to turn her 15 minutes into a life of wealth and influence despite her not being willing to polish her skills. She is certainly willing to spend time and money on her physical image, why not do the same for her presentation skills. It's not the accent, it's the mangled language.

Because she doesn't give a rats azz what any of us really think of her? Who know..... sing it now...... I don't give a damn what other people think. What do ya think about that?

I like Sarah's daughter Pipper who is cute especially when she tries to protect her Mom from the press who only want to demonize this lady... There's an old Irish Quote.........."Any Man who likes to constantly denounce a Woman is NOT much of a Man.".. So if your thing is to demonize or denounce this lady then maybe you ought to get a life..IMHO.. ..... One big K for you!!!!
